Plants turned up in very poor condition,the person I spoke to when i rang customer services was very rude.She said the plants are live things and the weather can effect them,well that says it all,they are sending plants our even if they are crap condition.Just buy your plants elsware and save yourself time and hasle.
Several members of staff told totally different versions of what had happened to my order. Each one was a lie. A manager called to say the items had been dispatched yesterday and would arrive either yesterday (what - same day as dispatch?) or today yet the cheap courier says it will be at least 2 more days. That means they do not deliver within the stated 21 days from order. Additionally the manager said an email of the items being shipped had been sent, which it hadnβt and was only sent today following a formal complaint. The manager also said I had been sent an email about 1 item that wasnβt available and the refund amount due. Again no such email. However following my formal complaint another ill informed person sent me a list of items ordered and now 30% of my order appears to be unavailable. I accept that things go wrong but this is absolutely appalling. This once good company has gone to s**t. I will never be doing business with them ever again. Disgusting service!
Refunded after waiting with no estimated delivery time
Sadly, I had to request a refund.
An order of 7 items that was placed over a month ago still hadn't been delivered (despite on the website stating 2 weeks delivery - and still stating this and not having received my order).
When I contacted the company I was told they were awaiting delivery from their sister company but still couldn't give me any idea of when my order will arrive as they deliver first come first serve.
After another week, I requested a refund which was put through promptly.
I must say their customer service for replying to emails is quite quick, just unfortunate that they couldn't give me an estimated delivery time, otherwise I would have waited.
The astrantia I ordered was in a poor condition when it arrived - dried up with virtually no foliage. I whatsapped customer services who replied "some plants have little or no foliage due to them dying back from its previous season". It's June. The astrantias I have in my garden are in full bloom with lots of foliage!
I was given the option of returning the plant at my expense.
I won't be using this company again.
Ordered 2 buddleia candy. They arrived promptly and well packaged. Beautifully healthy plants in fantastic condition. Would definitely recommend this company.

I ordered 6 hydrangeas, 4 roses, and 36 Geranium Rozanne plants from J. Parker, spending over Β£300. What I received was shocking β all the plants were thrown together into a single box with no care whatsoever. Many were sunburnt, broken, and in terrible condition, clearly unfit for planting and ready for the bin.
When I contacted customer service via chat, they told me I had to return the plants at my own expense and in the original packaging, which was unrealistic given the state they arrived in. After refusing, they eventually issued a partial refund β but the experience was stressful, disappointing, and far from what you'd expect from a reputable nursery.
I do not recommend ordering from this site if you want to avoid frustration, financial loss, and poor customer support. The plants were in no condition to survive, and the company made no real effort to make things right.
We are a high end gardening company and we are disgusted by the quality of the plants and not the first time either. The courier used is awful and plants dead or broken most at least substandard
I ordered some bedding plants, a rose and two dahlia plants, the latter three arrived in good condition.
The bedding plants (pack of 60 marigolds), if you can imagine the box that Ace Ventura delivers at the beginning of the first film, this is what I imagine happened to the marigolds. Half were dead on arrival, we planted the remaining half (all approximations) and only half of those survived. I did feedback to customer service, they refunded exactly half the amount of the poor more than poor quality plants, not really good enough when I now have to go find replacements.
In 2022 I purchased 3 bare rooted Astrantia Ruby Cloud and 3 bare rooted orange Phlox which I received late Autumn. The Astrantia flowered summer 2023 and these turned out to be white not Ruby, Parkers replaced them Autumn 2023 with 3 more, these also turned out to be white and not Ruby in 2024, the orange Phlox flowered that year and they were Pink. Having sent photographs of both items Parkers again replaced the Astrantia and also the Phlox in Autumn 2024, the Astrantia have just flowered June 2025 and are white again. In April this year I purchased 3 Chasmanthe bulbs planted them straight away in a tub and should have been up by now, dug one out yesterday, bulbs still solid but no root or top growth, more money wasted.
After many years as a customer of Parkers I think I shall shop elsewhere as it seems Parkers left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
I placed an order spring time and by the time they arrived it was half way through summer so planting time was decreased, the qulity of the plants came in a poor condition although some have perked up but the Delphiniums well I justlive in hope, very poor, one was a stalk with a nearly dead leaf on it .Dont use go to your local garden centre at least you pick what you get.
Complete rubbish. The plantsman was obviously feeling lazy, as despite saying the amount we ordered, I think 20 includes at least 3 varieties, all were the same except 1 geranium and 2 fushias. Moot point as theyβre now pretty much all dead. Avoid.
