Our tour was amazing. Houssin our guide was inspiring, passionate about his country and friendly, sensitive to the different personalities in the group. He was approachable and helped with all inquiries, no matter how small. Houssin also facilitated our dinners and different requirements. He developed a real rapport with our group. Local guides were articulate and informative.
We had a great tour with 'Seen' our Tour Leader who made everyone feel so welcome. 'Seen' continued this throughout our Trip giving us so much information on all destinations and looking after our welfare. Additionally all the Support Team worked hard to keep us safe, well feed and hydrated always with a smile. So many wonderful memories, good laughs with other Team bike members and new friendships forged. Thank you Intrepid, Dave
Having never been to Turkey previously and as a first time user of Intrepid, we had an amazing tour. We did the Turkey Encompassed tour which was led by Mali who was so knowledgable, a great tour leader and gave us a fantastic insight into the country. Being in a small group was great and so many highlights, would recommend this tour and Intrepid.
Fantastic trip, I have lifelong wonderful memories. Beautiful places, brilliant captain, a great band of fellow travellers all add up to a great week.

The Women's Expedition to India with Intrepid Travel was an unforgettable experience, taking us to incredible places like Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chandeleo Ghar, Agra, and Delhi. The magical Taj Mahal was a great highlight, as was Jodhpur - the blue city, and our night in the desert. The tour was jam packed with experiences, you could not fault the itinerary! Accommodations were mostly 3-star but perfectly acceptable, with the standout being a heritage property in Jaisalmer. If there were any issues with our hotels, our guide, Tem, quickly had them rectified. I loved that the places we visited—like the craft workshops and Chandeleo Ghar—directly supported women and their families. Sheroes, an inspiring women's cooperative, was especially moving, showcasing the strength and resilience of women fighting for a better life. Even the long train journey, which while very long, turned out to be a fun way to connect and bond with our fellow travelers and locals. All other modes of transport added to the fun and adventurous vibe of this trip. The food was consistently excellent, some of the restaurants were in spectacular locations and you could not fault the views! The key to making our experience truly special was our amazing guide, Tem, whose professionalism and expertise were evident every step of the way. She answered our questions patiently, provided insights into the culture and history, and ensured we felt safe and well taken care of. Tem dealt with any issues swiftly and with compassion. When some of our group members became unwell, she handled the situation with care and empathy, arranging prompt medical attention and making sure everyone was comfortable. We were incredibly fortunate to have her, and she truly embodies the spirit of Intrepid Travel, making her an exceptional ambassador for the company. The camaraderie among the women in our group made the trip even more special. I felt incredibly fortunate to share this experience with such wonderful women and would absolutely travel with Intrepid again—especially if Tem were leading the way!
We are a couple in our 60’s who wanted to have a true Cambodian experience .We followed recommendations and went to main office of intrepid Melbourne. We were helped by several extremely helpful’kids’…Who organised absolutely everything we needed. Needing to be sure of every detail, we were always welcomed back into the office for confirmation. Our Cambodian guide was extremely knowledgeable , light hearted and caring Everything went perfectly and we really had the experience we were wanting. Will definitely use intrepid again.

We just finished 3 back-to-back Intrepid tours in India and Sri Lanka. Intrepid is amazing in the variety of activities, the incredible efforts to keep costs down (so, yes... these are not 5 - 4? Okay... in some places 3 star hotels, but this is India, right? *grin*), and to ensure travelers are safe, healthy, and... (MOST importantly) heard when the unavoidable "hiccups" happen. I've been traveling with Intrepid (& GAdventures!) since 2006, and it is impossible for me to give these companies a higher/better recommendation. They are the best! ❣️
This was my first solo trip as a woman half way across the world. My experience in a nutshell with intrepid was excellent! I chose to share a room and they did an excellent job matching me with another lady with similar interests. We got along well for the 9 day tour and no bad experiences. I will definitely do intrepid again!!
Saudi Arabia Women's Expedition - What an eye-opener. We had a wide-ranging series of experiences: meeting many local women, visiting jaw-dropping scenery, enjoying local meals, learning about all the massive social changes that have occurred in the last 5-10 years, snorkelling in the Red Sea. Well-organised and led. Highly recommended.
We have just had the most marvellous trip to Sri Lanka and the attitude and skills provided by our guide Rumesh made it doubly wonderful. He was incredibly helpful and caring and certainly went the extra mile on many occasions - and also spoilt us with surprises of local delicacies. Nothing was too much trouble for him right up until the very moment of our departure.
When consulting to customer support services over my experience during an overland excursion, the feedback I received in their concluding message contained very little or no elaboration on vague points of "so-called" misconduct which I strongly deny. To help clear up this situation I included extra, important information in subsequent emails sent to customer services who said were happy to require. Unfortunately, no reply of sort in receiving these emails were acknowledged between their initial and closing messages, let alone taken into account. These details are either presumed to remain unread or deliberately ignored, leading customer services to consider that the investigation was summarised 'comprehensively' as far as it suited them in my opinion. This in turn I believe why my rightful claim for compensation was rejected. Another question that got discarded was what actions would ensue if I refused to accept in cutting my trip short, and that itself deserves answering. Moreover, various fellow passengers voiced atrocious online reviews about me indirectly on Intrepid. A couple of individuals whom I've been civilised and stayed in contact with, unusually stated post-trip that i somehow made them feel anxious, which is rich since they obviously don't know the half of what exactly I've been feeling since, even more. Most spiteful of all, a younger guy unaware of the fact that I'm autistic had the nerve to post about me having a lack of 'mental stability', and suggesting why my time on the tour wasn't terminated sooner. Honestly, I think its safe to say that my well-being during this trip wasn't prioritised sufficently nor equally as other travellers', and moving forward from this trauma has become increasingly difficult for myself. In all fairness, isn't a little reconsideration into soughting some reimbursement too much to ask?
I would thoroughly recommend Intrepid tours, based on our two trips with this Company. The most recent tour, to Sri Lanka, was a particular standout, in terms of the beautiful locations of each of the hotels and their level of service, the diversity of cultural/historical attractions and activities on offer during the trip and the enthusiasm, care and professionalism of our tour guide, for whom nothing was too much trouble. I liked the fact that we stayed a minimum of 2 nights at each hotel, allowing us time to settle in a little and get to know each location, as well as having fabulous pools at each one to help us unwind. I also appreciated the extensive and diverse range of knowledge our guide had so he could speak authoritatively about Sri Lankan history through the ages, as well as provide insights on how best to interact respectfully with locals, while avoiding scammers in the larger cities. We had three birthdays during the tour and our guide went to great lengths to make each birthday celebrant feel special, with cakes and decorations. He showed genuine care and kindness to us all and had a fantastic sense of humour. Overall, this tour was the perfect way to experience the beauty and diversity of such a unique Country.
