Howards Estate Agents has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.
This is a fantastic company when looking for rented accommodation. The whole team is super helpful. Mia especially was so helpful, calling me whenever a house became available, and emailing properties. Would definitely use this company again, should I need to.
Having a minor issue with rental documentation Lara responded quickly in a professional manner resolving the problem, as a landlord of 14 years the service is first class.
I was speaking to a lovely lady called ayesha who was so helpful and very professional regarding my housing needs I just want to say this firm is so good and everybody I spoke to were very nice. I would recommend this firm to all my friends especially ayesha thank you so much
Poor customer service. Left 3 messages ,been trying to speak to the Gorleston office for 3 hours!. I would not trust them to sell for me or manage a rental.
Addison and Charlie a credit to the Estate Agent industry
Addison and Charlie recently showed us two properties, for young men they were extremely respectful, professional, polite and knowledgeable. We have previously met and viewed with another large agency in the area and if their fresh approach was to leave us feeling we were an inconvenience at best, they ticked all the boxes. Thank you Addison and Charlie
Quite frankly the worst estate agent I've ever come across. Was due to buy a property through them last year and the whole experience of 9 months was awful from start to the chain eventually collapsing. They were very slow at providing updates. Forced me to use their mortgage provider and Jeanette threatened that if I didn't that the seller may drop me and accept a previous offer. Unethically negotiated - asked me what the top figure I'd pay for the property is and then left me waiting for a whole week after placing an offer to advise whether it had been accepted. Missed out important details on their advert of expensive service charges which was only revealed after searches had been completed, even though they had previously advised their was none to pay?? Would often call me up asking for updates even though they were meant to be the ones progressing the sale? They defintely breached GDPR several times too, after speaking to the seller and them knowing information they shouldn't of done. Would personally never use them again and defintely won't ever buy a property with them again in the future.
Why Don't Estate Agents have any responsibility when they sell you a nightmare
Had it been a second hand car I purchased from Howard's in Long Stratton I would have taken it back months ago if it hadn't killed me by driving itself of a cliff. 5 months since I moved in and I am still dancing around un opened boxes as I have spent all my time (and thousands of pounds) correcting some of the basics that haven't worked since I took ownership. The fridge with shelves that collapse in the middle of the night when loaded with more that one salad item.
Te built in heating in the kitchen blocked with soo much cat hair I'm waiting for bonfire night to turn it on, the "Electric Shower" that requires the oil fired boiler to run for an hour if you want warm water, the heating system with wiring that was pulled apart by gravity or the previous owner and today the TV aerials failing as 2 different systems had been running it for too long.
I just hope the next little surprise doesn't kill me or an innocent passerby.
Why there is no legal precedent for an Estate Agent to deliver a house in the condition they advertise it is beyond me.
My ptnr Mr Obertelli did all the brickwork, pointed hse front built wall from chimneys. Beautiful red brick fireplace .. all solid wood floors n doors n pure wool cpts, all gone? Laminated floors n doors? No wonder sold for less in 2016. Howards made a stressful time lots worse wen had to sell as he was dying 30.11.13. .had to leave it all behind to very nasty buyers also, alone 3days b4 christmas on national express hated livin in Yarmouth full of foreigners and sharks people unfriendly cudnt trust anyone also bldr & son T Schooling took £2k ran off takin all back throwing over wall was reported to police who also did nothing. Worse time of my life..
I am absolutely disgusted, I phoned to arrange a viewing on a house, they asked if I had a mortgage sorted and what deposit I would be putting down on the house. I told her who my mortgage was with and how much deposit I was putting down. I was then told that the vender had stipulated that I would have to speak to Howard’s mortgage advisor before I could view the property. I felt I was being blackmailed into using their services, despite already having a large deposit and mortgage sorted. A potential sale lost there because of their greed.
We were renting with Howard's for about 4 to 5 years and when we left to move in with my mum for financial reasons. Zara Zawadski was nothing short of amazing. Zara helped us with all the things we needed to finalise our tenancy and her customer service was fantastic. Fantastic customer service in a world where that is hard to find. Thank you Zara 😊
