Terrible experience. Customer service was virtually nonexistent. I contacted them multiple times by phone and email to rearrange a delivery and got no help at all. In the end, I was charged a hefty return fee, didn’t receive the item I ordered, and wasted hours dealing with an unhelpful delivery service. They use poorly rated couriers, which I’ve since seen mentioned in other reviews. I ended up going to a high street retailer instead and placed the same order with no fuss. Avoid.
Never got my sofa as the delivery company they use Arrow XL are shockingly inefficient. Address entered incorrectly. Failure to adhere to their own policies of contact prior to delivery, and autonomy to change delivery dates with no consideration for working people’s lives. I wasted so much time on the phone to both the delivery company and The actual clients. Had I known that this would be such an issue I
Would have avoided this company at all costs. I’m about to request my refund - watch this space!
First a quick appraisal for the staff they have working for them - specifically Roisin. She was incredibly calm, and easy to talk to.
I had ordered a Ometa Air Conditioner in Space Grey" but when it arrived it showed "Black" on the box and the casing itself looks black.
After calling and getting through to Roisin she explained that it was the correct item that had been sent, just that the images being used online do not truly marry up to what you get. To which a suitable resolution was made on the phone and actioned within a couple of minutes.
Moral of the story, don't trust what you see online, its all photoshopped.
As for the company itself, you do need to make sure you're selling what your showing. I could have quite easily... lost my cool... about this whole situation. Delivered in a fairly timely manner, and overall experience was pleasant enough. You've been spared 2 stars because of Roisin.
Staff were very helpful from the first phone call. The ordering process was easy and the delivery was quick and effective, with great communication.
However, the sofa is a lot lighter in colour than advertised and not as sturdy as we are led to believe.
However, for the price, I can't complain. I will most definitely buy from home detail again. Thank you.

Uncomfortable, overpriced, poor quality—binned in under a year.
I purchased a £199 chair and a £419 sofa from this company in April last year, and they’ve turned out to be the most uncomfortable and poorly made pieces of furniture I’ve ever owned. Despite living alone and rarely using them due to my full-time job, both items deteriorated shockingly fast.
The chair was so uncomfortable I ended up throwing it out, and the sofa is heading to the skip this week. The foam padding is thin and collapses easily, offering no support—and when you sit down, you can literally feel the wooden frame pressing into your body. The stitching started coming apart within months, and the foam is already disintegrating.
These products didn’t even last a year. They are massively overpriced for the appalling quality. This has been, without question, the worst purchase I’ve ever made. Please don’t make the same mistake—avoid this brand at all costs. I can’t even sell them—they’re such poor quality. The only place they belong is the skip.
Very pleased with my new furniture. Took me a while to build by only because I have poor sight. Customer service and delivery were excellent I was kept informed of delivery all the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again and to recommend to family and friends.
Ordered garden furniture and it arrived the next day . Had a small issue with it and it was sorted within 24hrs.

Messed around from the start- ordered a corner sofa rattan set with table- they only send 2 packages out of three. Constant lies on the phone saying the missing parcel / package is out for delivery next day. Still waiting. Rattan set is not worth £600!!!! Rattan all coming apart already, poor delivery, poor customer service and poor service over all. Iv had a nightmare week trying to track down the missing package. Partners had to take time off work UNPAID to wait for deliveries to which non were on time. I don’t know where the good reviews have come from but what a inconvenience the whole thing is!!!
The first delivery was cancelled late in the day. When the delivery was eventually made, it arrived much later than the provided time slot. The delivery team complained about having to come up the stairs, citing a hectic day.
The sofa box couldn’t fit through the door and had to be returned. There was no diagram with dimensions provided on their website to ensure it would fit. The company showed no concern for the inconvenience caused and offered no solutions, only focused on charging a delivery fee (because they were not able to deliver) that was initially free.
Absolutely terrible customer service. It’s unfortunate that companies like this still operate with such disregard for their customers
I bought an air-conditioning unit from Homedetail last summer, the hose does not attach to the unit, I have been contacting them ever since trying to get this resolved, customer care ignore you or take forever to reply. I have supplied my order info, receipt, photographs, but it’s not enough for them, now they insist on videos (which offers no further information it will just be me twisting a hose with nothing happening) they are just completely unhelpful. It’s very frustrating.
