Eventful evening

We had our event on the 26th June in Harbour hotel Guildford. Our yearly summer BBQ. Had about 50 attendees outside the patio bit after our CPD talk. If I remember, it was Emily and Amy that served us through the whole night. Amazing young women who we are ever so grateful with every request for the night they tend to. The night couldn’t have gone any smoother without them. Such polite and great people/customer skills they have. Thank you ever so much!

Not a great welcome back from Harbour…

Not a great welcome back from Harbour Hotel Brighton. It is a big let down from the Harbour hotel to send a discount code to welcome back a customer who has stayed at the hotel previously and cannot use the code to book a night at the hotel with the discount code. Not only that there is no option when booking to apply a discount code. I will look for somewhere else to stay and i was booking direct with the hotel and booked direct last time. Lost a customer as a result.

Harbour Spa Southampton

Harbour Spa Southampton. Paid £125 for 1 hour all over body massage and was not impressed. Time of treatment moved forward which messed up other plans. Massage was done in 40 minutes. Cold room. No heated beds. Therapist had long nails which dug in. Claim to use Elemis products yet the ones out for use were not Elemis. Very painful massage and fronts of legs and décolletage completely missed. Never again.

Arranged a birthday celebration dinner…

Arranged a birthday celebration dinner several months in advance for 35 people with Sophie Caddock who was very helpful and friendly. The venue, food and waiting staff were excellent, everyone had a great time on what was a very special occasion! Many thanks Sophie and team!

Disappointing 3 night stay at Brighton Harbour Hotel

Having just spent 3 nights staying in the Brighton Harbour Hotel we were left feeling rather disappointed and felt it was not good value for money. Although the room was clean and we were provided with adequate extras it was rather tired and that was reflected all round the hotel. It is in great need of some TLC. The bed was very comfortable and we were extremely grateful for the air conditioning (which I believe some rooms did not have) as we stayed during a heatwave! We were able to pre book 10am breakfast but were made to feel we were late when we arrived and it was already being cleared away while we were trying to enjoy ours so we felt rushed and not able to make the most of it. The worst part was on our 3rd night .. we should have possibly had a clue when we saw the issue of earplugs in the bathroom! There was an unbearable thumping bass going right through the room until 12.45am. We were not sure if it was coming from the hotel or the nightclub nearby. Based on the website for Harbour Hotels and their claims of having luxury hotels in beautiful locations I think this one lets them down badly. This was our first experience of staying in one and we were hoping to stay in others but now feeling very reluctant. The location is great for getting around to most of the famous areas and just across the road from the beach but the general quality is lacking and the fact there is a nightclub opposite is a major downside.

Booked for my wife’s birthday never again

Booked Brighton harbour hotel for my wife’s birthday, upon arrival seems nice. Got to room and was very disappointed, small, grubby windows and was literally facing pryzm nightclub. Very noisy 2 nights stay it was awful, I’m surprised this isn’t mentioned more in reviews it was so bad. Spa was lovely and staff very nice, lovely bar and breakfast was fab but the room and noise were unbearable, came home exhausted and £550 for 2 nights was extortionate for what we got. Wouldn’t recommend a relaxing stay here or return, very disappointed!

Disappointed!!

I was given a HarSpa Together voucher for my 50th Birthday. I took my daughter with me to The Harbour Hotel & Spa In Brighton. We both thoroughly enjoyed the treatments and the lunch but was rather disappointed with the Spa itself. It was extremely muggy in there and felt like you needed some air but the worse part was the tiles in both pools and the steamroom were extremely dirty and could do with a deep clean. We left after only spending approx an hour in the Spa due to both of our eyes stinging so much from the chlorine.

We,ve stayed at Sidmouth harbour hotel…

We,ve stayed at Sidmouth harbour hotel several times. Was very disappointed this time. On arrival in the only dog friendly room we were told. To our amazement there was a dog next door. The view fm our room was a brick wall. When we got in our room there was no spare toilet rolls, no sherry in the room, no biscuits, also the coffee machine didnt work properly. When we went to dinner and lunch They had ranout of Oysters Smoked salmon and haddock. As for breakfast the first morning we only got an egg, half tom, half mushroom, and 2 thin pieces of streaky bacon. As for the facilities. We were really looking forward to a swim, the pool was closed due to renovation, which we wasn,t told about we probably would,nt have stayed there. When I phoned the hotel to book the room we were told it was 340.00 for 2 nights including the dog. 13th Feb 2022 15th Feb 2022 When we came to pay they charged us 355.00 for the room. I wont even talk about the charges everytime you go to the bar. What a shame We used to love it there.

Mixed experience

Very clean and well organised hotel - staff were exceptionally professional and customer orientated. Dinner in the restaurant was ok but beware of the additional and hidden service charge at the bottom of the bill if you are someone who likes to have choice about rewarding service. More relevant still is the small writing in the booking information that the hostel hosts functions/parties from time to time. If you are a light sleeper, don`t book a room near the function room unless you are happy to postpone your sleep until after 12 a.m. and maybe even later as the joyous party goers return to their rooms. Ask the hotel if there are any parties on the night you plan to stay just in case.

Excellent Customer Service

I had to cancel my booking at 2.00pm on the day of arrival due to a car breakdown which required me to be towed home! I fully expected to lose my booking/funds but the team have allowed me to move my dates and use within an agreed period. Their understanding and willingness to help made a miserable day so much better. It's service like this that you really remember and will make me recommend them - aside from the fact I love their hotels!!

Christchurch Harbour Hotel

My family and I had a great stay at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel for my graduation. From the moment we arrived the staff were more than helpful! Dave the doorman was very attentive - he helped us find a parking space, brought our luggage in the hotel and up to the room after check-in, and even brought drinks to our room! This is my second stay at this hotel and third Harbour Hotel stay overall and I would recommend to anyone

Excellent Christchurch hotel

We stayed for two nights recently at the Kings Arms in Christchurch. Requiring a walk-in shower for mobility reasons, our room was small but perfectly adequate, well appointed and comfortable. The hotel is perfect for seeing Christchurch, with easy, immediate access to beautiful walks. The staff could not have been more helpful… Jenny on reception was excellent,as was Jan the manager, and all staff were most pleasant. Parking is an issue for the hotel, no fault of their own, but we experienced great support from the staff so it wasn’t an issue for us. A most pleasant visit, and would be more than happy to re-visit.

AVOID staying at Guildford Harbour…

AVOID staying at Guildford Harbour Hotel especially if you did not book directly. We booked a two night stay on 14th September 2021 because we wanted to enjoy the Full Day Spa booked with their signature HarSpa but when we checked into their rooms; it’s like being trapped in a dirty budget hotel! Twin beds were narrow 2.5 foot mattresses on top of used 3 foot divan base, complete with dead skin and hair from previous years’ use. The management were rude about it claiming that it is a “design aesthetic” that i did not accept this was acceptable to me…i was FREE TO LEAVE but they will be charging me for the whole two days booked! I could not stay in a hotel where the Air-Condition was a fixed warm 19 degrees and there was no standard Bar fridge one would expect. After 1.5 hours of contacting the BOOKING Aagent who were very helpful; Guildford Harbour Hotel finally released me with a full refund but INSISTED on charging me for the HALF DAY parking rate. They were very rude about it.
