Always upfront with contract terms; no bait-&-switch with these folks. Clear explanation of market conditions and reasons behind their variable term contracts.
Pricing delivered as promised. Signed up for a 12-month plan, got first bill and pricing was exactly what the contract stated. Will be interested in seeing what the renewal pricing will be... but that's a long way off at this time.
Good to deal with as a first time customer, will see how the year goes to see if they deserve the fifth star.

The entire electricity contracting experience for consumers seems opaque and a matter of chance. I chose a short duration contract this time to shift my renewal to a different part of the annual calendar to see if there is less price variability. I want to buy cheap reasonably priced electricity- I don’t want to trade commodities. With all that said Sunwave does a good job making the process easy but I don’t think their $50 cancellation fee is competitive with others who don’t charge a fee. This process and industry is ripe for a disruptive innovation and consumer experience.
We are fortunate in Connecticut to have a choice when it comes to determining who generates the electric power we use. When my current contract expired Sunwave gas+power was my lowest cost option for power generation for the next six months. After my contract expires I'll stay with them as long as they are the lowest cost supplier available, if not I'll switch again.
I started out with Sunwave at .0500 rate until January 2017. Then it went to >0671 until October 2017. Now the rate is .0743 until December 2017. Does this mean it will be a steady climb from now on? I will have to shop around again. Thank You
