They charge you a subscription fee automatically without you ever signing up for it and make some long winded bs way of going through their site cramming their product subscription down your throat to get your refund back, we will see if I even get the refund back…
Great product. I had a question and needed assistance. My email was answered promptly and the request was handled by the time they emailed. Great customer service!!
I didn't know about any subscription on this but today after having the device for 3 days I get a bill for 99.99 for a subscription.
They sell a product to help you avoid being scammed, and then scam you themselves by signing you up for a long subscription and making it very difficult to cancel it. Very disappointed.

The thing work. The premium features seems to be ok. But the renewal annual fee is complex to cancel and fixd would NOT remind you the renewal of 99$... After the renewal passed on my paypal, i asked to te team if it was possible to get a refund (and what's more, I lost the reader in the course of last year, so the renewal was useless to me!)... The anwser was : "Thank you for reaching out to us in regards to your subscription. At this time, we're unable to issue a refund for subsequent charges. Per our terms of service: "You have 30 days from the initial charge date to request a refund for the FIXD Premium subscription. A refund will result in the immediate termination of the subscription and access to the subscription will be revoked. A refund is only applicable to the first year of the subscription. No refunds will be issued for subsequent charges for the renewal of the subscription." Thank you for your kind understanding!" Well... I honestly not kindly understand!!! So beware of those fees...!!!

They charged me $105 without my authorization. After being left on hold for over an hour and arguing with them for another hour. They finally agreed to cancel the unauthorized subscription and return my money 2 weeks later. Here we are a year later (06/20/25), and I am back on the phone on hold for over an hour trying to get my refund again because they got it out of Paypal.

It’s a scam. They sell you a cheap computer and slam you with renewals on a useless premium service set up to auto renew. If you complain and try to get a refund they have an FU attitude.

BE AWARE OF THEY DON'T HONOR THEIR OFFER. First of all, their premium subscription does not worth the money. If you run into any engine code issue in your car you can easily search online and it's free. Their offer was $50 for a year I wanted to try it. Main problem starts with this app/company, when you try to cancel your subscription. They offer %50 discount for premium subscription renewal but at the end they don't apply it. By the time you noticed you're charged full amount of renewal fee, it's being too late. They don't honor their offer and they keep full renewal fee. While some users might find this code reader beneficial, it doesn't quite live up to the promises made in its advertisements.

My husband purchased FIXD in April 2024 and was not advised of the yearly automatic premium.I contacted FIXD to cancel the yearly subscription online when he got his billing statement. I had to go thru a complicated process in order to cancel. He contacted them for a refund for the remaining months($82.50) and they advised a refund is only due the first year. What a way to con customers out of money.BAD BUSINESS!! I will be contacting the BBB regarding this unfair practice.

The device works and it is a useful product but they include a trial of the premium service then automatically charge you for a year of it without letting you know that this is going to happen. If you aren't paying attention you will pay for a year of Premium without knowing it. I did not find the features of Premium to be of value.
