5 Star delivers 1 star ..... Our house in Destin, FL was as advertised ..... but the property mgmt. company (5 Star Properties) fell way short of being a property mgmt. company. Without boring the masses here - they essentially lacked any customer service, fell short on what they stated over the phone and most importantly, hid behind their rental agreements to defend themselves. When we didn't have an operable pool & spa (i.e. no heating to either, of which we paid extra for) upon checking in on the first day and two more days thereafter, they felt like a refund of the heating fee's would be appropriate (which I had already disputed the charges with my CC company), and {Martha @ 5 Star} trying to get me to answer "yes or no" {on a recorded call} if I read point #25 of my rental agreement - which indicated they weren't liable for malfunctions to the pool/spa -- to which I stated, "how can you use that as a line of defense, when the units were not working upon our arrival" -- absolutely 'no comment' ...... the entire experience borders on being "Fraud" - they (and their pool vendor) had to know the heater wasn't working properly, but apparently chose to ignore it. I spoke to three rep's @ 5 Star and only Justin was semi-helpful & polite -- the other two, well let's just say they really need some additional training.
