Customer service was the absolute worst.

Five star gulf rental was the absolute worst customer service I have come upon recently. They offered no help when the their lack of timely response created a problem with our checkout. In trying to appeal to his humanity and explain our 2 year old just needed time for a nap, the manager threatened to call the sheriff if we did not vacate the property. A very harsh response! There are many great management companies in the area. Don’t take a chance with five star.

Not the Norm

Not the Norm Five Star Gulf Rentals went above & beyond to accommodate our families beach rental at Not the Norm. They are a great rental company & we plan to book with them again. The property is 10 star we could not have ask for anything better. Everything was clean & check out instructions were simple.

The Fabulous Montana

I called Five Star Properties spoke with the lovely Montana. She was awesome. She was patient and she went through all the houses to make sure I hit the house that I want it even though the house wasn't available for a day she made sure we still get what exactly what we wanted. We selected Vista Del Mare such a lovely home architect and the crown molding was fabulous. The chef kitchen was even better wash and dry all three floors bathrooms on every floor two ice machines and it was hot. The only downside the beds were to soft in the master bedroom, but besides that we enjoyed our stay, everything was wonderful. And the staff was even better. I'll give a five star and I will be right with him again thank you guys for your services.

Unresponsive when it counts

We booked the condo beach rental Seaview Unit 300 with Bliss Beach Rentals for a week in August 2023. Aside from an unusual lingering odor, the unit itself seemed ok, but the building was a disaster. The elevator was inoperable from day one and three calls into reporting, we never heard another promised response for a timeframe on repair or a warning that there would be no plans for repair during our stay. Had it been working and we had not had to climb the 48 steps (one-way) for 7 days straight with the entire family and all belongings all day long, we might not have noticed the building was filthy all the way down. There was a presumably used dental floss pick, roaches (alive and dead), grimy hand-railing, and awful smell from top to bottom that greeted us the entire visit. Maintenance arrived without notice on our last day to replace the air filter in our unit with no news, apology, or offer to compensate for the miserable state of the building. They also had to trek the hallway and stairs to reach the unit, so obviously they were aware of the conditions and had nothing to say about it. The Gulf view and family friendly layout of the unit is exactly what we would like to have enjoyed most. However, the lack of control over the property’s poor maintenance will keep us from ever booking this property or with this company again.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever! If you have any issues with your rental they will absolutely put you off every single day until you finally depart! I will never rent through them again! That’s not to mention that the house we rented from them had so much water damage. It was like walking in a Funhouse. Terrible rental and terrible service! Don’t waste your hard earned money!

Sandcastle 2nd floor had no AC

Our family stayed at the Sandcastle by the Sea during the first week of August 2023. Upon arrival, we expressed our concerns that the 2nd floor was over 80 degrees. Maintenance came on Saturday evening, said the house needed to just cool off which it never did. Sunday they came and said that we needed to wash the unit down. I guess they thought we wanted to work on our unit while on vacation. Monday they were back again to look at the unit and decided that it would need to be replaced. Tuesday the home owners approved the replacement. That is when the chillers were brought in. Wednesday they can and made the repairs. Meanwhile, the 2nd floor still was 80+ degrees every night. That night it still didn't cool off because it had been off all day long. Thursday night it was 78 degrees when we went to bed and Friday night it was 76 degrees when we went to bed. I spoke to your office everyday because they called me every morning and they sent the chillers but even the last night, the 2nd floor only cooled to 76 with the chillers and the new ac running at full capacity. By morning, the 2nd floor would cool off to around 75 but it is not exactly comfortable to go to sleep every night in 80+ degrees. The obviously knew there was a problem because there were box fans in every room on the 2nd floor. What multi-millon dollar home furnishes their bedrooms with box fans? I was patient with them and tried to make the best of the situation since we were on vacation but I was told that we were not due any compensation because I didn't keep submitting complaints even though the office knew of the ongoing problem. And because they replaced the unit on Wednesday, that was sufficient even though our stay was Saturday to Saturday.

Disappointed

Rented the penthouse, 1901 Silver Beach Towers. Paid a premium rental for a substandard unit. $12k for the week! The moment we walked in, noticed that the couch and chairs in the living room were very dirty. Filthy. Five Star Rentals sent some one out with a steam cleaner to clean them. Then the lights were out in the laundry room and the tv was shot in one of the bedrooms. Maintenance took care of these issues but why did they rent the unit in this condition? The unit has many other issues and is In need of a good cleaning. This penthouse has seen is better days! Definitely not penthouse quality and not worth $12 thousand a week. No parking available in the garage because the owners keep their 2 cars there. We had 10 guests and the rental company would only provide 3 fobs that are needed to access the building and pool. Quite inconvenient if somebody wanted to do something on their own, instead of being with the group to share the three key fobs.. the pictures online or misleading. Much nicer units at silver beach towers are available.

Unit 401 Crystal Dunes NO BEACH SERVICE …

Unit 401 Crystal Dunes is the only rental unit I’ve ever rented in the last 10 yrs that does NOT include beach service! This is not a cheap unit. This is not a “budget” unit! This is either poor management or greedy owners! Owners get a discounted rated when they reserve beach service for their unit for the season. Instead I’m having to pay an extra $300 (on top of the $6,000 I’ve already paid for the week) for something that every other unit includes! Save yourself the headache and choose a different unit!

Very accommodating

Very accommodating. Easy to contact with questions. The 2 houses we rented were cleaner than clean. Pools heated up fast. Inside and outside were well maintained.

The property exceeded our expectations

The property exceeded our expectations, allowing the whole extended family to spend time together as well as having quiet time in the evenings with our immediate family. The chefs kitchen is topnotch! Swimming in the morning and relaxing in the the evenings definitely made it hard to go home. We will be requesting this property in the near future for sure. Thank you 5⭐️!

We have stayed at MAISON PAR LEAU multiple times now. Booked through their property management. We are satisfied with their timely manner if any issues arise. FILTHY ROOM 1216 at Beach Club Resort

Rented room 1216 at Beach Club Resort. The room was filthy! Both bathrooms had mold, sofa was filthy and had a bad oder. We couldn’t tell if the carpet was green or brown it was so filthy! The floors in the living area needed cleaning. When we complained they sent someone to clean. A brief cleaning didn’t help! The cookware was disgusting however, the lady they sent to clean did bring a new set of cookware. We tried to find another place to stay but by then we couldn’t locate anything. They did relocate us to a beautiful unit in another condo the next day. We weren’t able to check in until almost 4 pm the next day. Due to the filth of the room and the late check in the following day, we lost 2 days of our vacation which they refused to refund our money for the lost days. The new unit at a different condo was located across the road from the beach. It was very difficult for 4 elderly people to walk across the road with all our beach supplies. Two of the people in our group have major health issues. We originally rented a condo ON THE BEACH! The new place was very clean and very nice. We didn’t get what we reserved so we feel they should have gladly reimbursed us for the 2 days we lost, but they refused to give us a refund! They made the beginning of our vacation a nightmare! I will never book through this company again! All we got concerning the filthy room was the runaround until they told us they had another unit in another condo. We were forced to spend the night in that filthy place. Unless you enjoy staying in a place with mold all around the tub and shower DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! I’ve sent one photo of the shower in one of the bathrooms. I get sick just thinking about being given such a disgusting place to stay and it wasn’t a cheap room either. The cost was approximately $224 per night. All of us live on fixed incomes so that’s a lot of money to us!!

Sunreal is full of mice and rats

Sunreal is full of mice and rats. We found proof all over the house and cleaned it up. By the next morning there was more "evidence" and clothes were chewed through. Unbelievable that this company even rents this house. Disgusting and unprofessional that we even experienced this.

Reservations are NOT GUARANTEED

After having a reservation for over a month, signing contracts, and even having it all verified by a manger, they called and told me they would not honor the reservation dates. I ask to speak with a manager and they sent me an email and indicating he/she was “too busy” to call that day. Seriously. I would hate to think how they would treat you if there was a problem during your stay. I noticed below other people were commenting they had problems and they would not help. I would highly recommend choosing a reputable company when renting. There are many.

Do not rent Bourbon Beach w Five Star

This is our fourth year staying at Bourbon Beach as a family. With a week costing in the tens of thousands of dollars, you would think that all the amenities that they advertise as being special about the house- the bar in the pool, the heated pool and hot tub, etc.- would work. LAST year, the heating for the pool and hot tub was broken. We considered it a fluke. We are back THIS year and the heating for the pool and hot tub is not working yet again. This time we pushed back to ask them to fix it and they could not care less. They said we signed a contract that things don’t have to be working properly. Seriously?? As a family we have paid nearly six figures over four years to stay here annually and half of the time the pool and hot tub have not been working. Two years in a row now. This year was especially important to us as my 3 year old is battling leukemia and in chemotherapy. He has a one week break and we came down here to enjoy time and make memories with family. He is extremely sensitive to cold because of treatment and loves the hot tub. I’m heartbroken that he will not get to enjoy the warm water. In short, the owners of this home will take your 2+ grand per night and make you sign a contract that says none of their facilities or amenities actually have to work as advertised. Stay somewhere else. There are plenty of places in 30A that care about their visitors and will make sure basic care and upkeep of the facilities are taken care of.

Renters Beware… DO NOT RENT FROM FIVE…

Renters Beware… DO NOT RENT FROM FIVE STAR OR RENT THE BOURBON BEACH HOME. Although the home looks amazing, nothing works: spa, pool heat, ice maker in pool area, tvs, and they refuse to fix and heat pool (and we would b charged for heating pool). Stayed here for 4th year in a row and chose this house bc it is all inclusive. That was important bc our grandson has Leukemia and his immune system is poor so we are unable to go out. We picked Bourbon Beach for the outdoor living and so disappointed bc nothing is working. They have refused to fix or accommodate. We requested it to be heated and they were charging $75/ day, which we agreed to for having pool heated. Pool or hot tub wasn’t working so we put in request to be fixed. Pool contractor says owner what’s refused for months to fix hot tub and will not heat pool about 86 degrees which is not warm if you know about pool. No one shared it would not be heated as well e have paid for this in the past and would not have chosen if they had changed their policy. Funny thing is they were charging us 75/day for heat which was not being heated. $27,000/week should get you a working hot tub, working tvs, working ice maker and everything else they advertise for the home. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE WHERE THEY CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND REPEAT BUSINESS. WE HAVE BEEN PUNK’D by Five Star Rentals and BOURBON BEACH Owner. Five star was rude and could have cared less.

We love the house

We love the house, Endless Summer, it is beautiful, this was our second summer staying there. I was looking forward to swimming in the pool but discovered there was a black stuff (mold?) in the bottom of the pool. We contacted management and they sent a pool service out to clean it up, this was on Monday, we had not gotten into the pool until Tuesday, then discovered there was black stuff (mold/algae?) all around the sides of the pool. We were very disappointed and we were uncomfortable getting into the pool with it in this condition. We couldn't us the bikes because we couldn't get the combination to the locks from anyone. We were told we had to fill out a waiver and sent to the company that provides the bikes, but the waiver wouldn't process because apparently all the information wasn't input, but the form didn't tell what was missing. The company was called but they couldn't help because they could see the form in real time, to tell what info was missing. Very Disappointing.......

Bellissimo

We stayed in Bellissimo. This place needs a little updating, inspections needs to be just that, TV remotes, fan remotes were no where to be found had to call them to find out where they were. The pool had not been cleaned and when we headed for a day at the beach our chair service was not available. However, some issues were cleared up .not to bad of a place the owners really need to check in on their places more.
