I have booked with Cruise 1st numerous times With various agents all have been courteous and very helpful (that’s why I continue to come back) First class.
We booked our cruise through David today, he was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with excellent service thankyou.
Helpful and good knowledge provided by Peter Goodwin who I have used to book in the past
What to say great deal on a cruise we booked. Mary our sales person was so attentive. She remembered my from a previous enquiry that I didn't book about 6 months ago and asked if we were still looking. She gave us a few options answered all our questions and went above and beyond. I'm beyond grateful thank you 😊
This was a great experience because of Mikey Kyriakou. He handled the whole booking experience with efficiency, understanding of our needs, helpful suggestions, attention to detail, follow up on outstanding or hard to understand issues. Nothing was too much trouble and he exuded a strong professional balance of getting the job done with know how but showing great empathy for the client.
Very poor tour and cruise. Just arrived back from 18 nights cruise to New England & Canada with MSc and land tour beforehand with Helen wong tours booked through cruise 1st - the worst holiday we have had, picked up from our hotel in the oldest dirtiest coach in new York could not see out of windows ,which is more than a disappointment when you went to see the fall colours, Chinese driver of bus was so unhelpful everyone had had to put their own cases on and off at all the hotels we stopped at,our guide also informed us we had to pay 10 dollars each every day for his and drivers wages which later turned out to be the tips that they both expected us to give them on top of their pay, itinerary was changed for the trips we were supposed to have, tour guide also included extra trips that we had to pay for if we wanted ,which was ok, till I read that the tour to capitol hill in Washington, that he said was 40 dollars each was indeed a free tour for visitors, I would have thought cruise first would have had this tour company and the itinerary checked or tested before putting their name to it.Then the cruise started just about every meal we had in the restaurant was Luke warm even after complaining every night about this ,tea , coffee was always missing if indeed you could get a cup to use, trying to book a show was problematic because they were always booked solid, just not enough shows for the people on the ship who wanted to see them, our first excursion ashore in Newport Rhode Island was by tender as the ship was to big to get into port so had to get a number and queue to leave on the two tenders that were operating that was bad enough but when you think the ship holds over 5 thousand guests most of whom went ashore the return was a nightmare standing in a queue again for over 2 hours in 80 degree heat with no shade. we went ashore again at Boston with our excursion to Salem pre-booked ,all the tours that day were late departing, so we missed our slot at the witch museum, why no-one on the excursions team thought to phone ahead and explain the late arrivals of all tours that day is beyond me, now how does tipping work, our gratuities were included but every time you ordered drinks you had gratuities added again to your bill ,the waiters were rushed off their feet doing their best but officers seemed to be standing around just watching instead of lending a helping hand. Will not be booking with MSc again after this experience.
You cannot fault Cruise1st and their agents in Sales. Mary Isaac was brilliant and has helped us on many cruises. That’s sadly where it stops. Cruise1st’s customer service experience cannot cope with post sales experience. I am still waiting for a response for an email sent on the 7th September 2023 over 6 weeks ago and I am only wanting to upgrade!!!! They have stated they will not deal with me til May next year 2024, 3 months before departure ! absolutely mental. I was wanting to book another cruise with them in June next year but am now going to go elsewhere to a local travel agent as they do not deserve the booking. They simply do not deserve the business. Such a shame as Mary was brilliant but their aftercare experience is absolutely shocking. I get it waiting a few days but 6 weeks and no reply and then being told to wait til May 2024 for a response is absolutely shocking. Why can the agent who did the original booking not deal with any changes to the booking is beyond me just like any normal travel agent. Be careful about booking!!! as they will not help you unless it’s 3 months before departure. God help you if your cruise is in 2025. Go local.
