Terrible company, shocking communication

Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

I found conveyancing direct to be… All round brilliant

I found conveyancing direct to be faultless. Clear with their communications and timescales met. Victoria was our case handler, I had several email exchanges with her and found her to be ‘on the money’. Overall excellent and I’m really happy with the service that they provided for our remortgage.

Excellent service from Hayley Tyler at CDPLL

We had excellent service from Hayley Tyler and her assistant Trudi Bennett at Conveyancing Direct in Hastings. Hayley was very thorough and moved the process along quickly, responding to all our emails and calls. Very professional. Due to Hayley's diligence, we discovered a major problem (for us) with a property we had been in the process of trying to buy. It helped us to avoid this, saving much possible cost and grief. We will definitely use CDPLL again, especially if we are supported by Hayley Tyler. Mark and Clare 21 March 2019

Had to cancel my mortgage application…

Had to cancel my mortgage application with Skipton because of this company due to delays. I would completely avoid, in my opinion, I think they are a small company who won a big contract with a major lender and are struggling to deal with the demand. Wish I had seen these reviews before I wasted weeks of my time. I’m sure no one at this company goes to work every day to give a bad service but that is the net effect sadly in my experience.

I would certainly recommend…

I would certainly recommend Conveyancing Direct Ltd. Jennie Rosser dealt with my remortgage and lease extension application and I found her to be very professional and very efficient. Jennie was very proactive in ensuring my application was processed on time and always kept me up to date, without the need for me to chase up for updates at any point of my application. Would definately use them again.

Pick your own conveyancing firm. Thank me later

Currently using Conveyancing direct for a re-mortgage through Skipton building society. In short utterly useless. Mortgage was agreed in principle in November and STILL waiting to complete. Forms have needed sending several times along with witness signatures. Overall very poor admin and communication. Do yourselves a favour and pay £500 privately if you want the job completing with even a minimal level of competence.

I was invited to use CDPLL part of a…

I was invited to use CDPLL part of a complex remortgaging arrangement and, despite the complexity, I found them faultless at every turn. Their patience was endless and the personal manner and general approach and demeanour of Aisha Nasir in particular was an object lesson in competence and courtesy. In sum, I cannot speak too highly of them.

Worst ever solicitors

Worst ever solicitors. I wanted to use my own. but advised to use these by mortgage advisor never again never ever again attitude was appalling !!! are they working for me seriously!!! customer service was zilch I was passed through 3 different solicitors. They were not helpful but used Legal wording which is not very helpful at all. We are very busy running our own companies, we invested in solicitors to do the work for ourselves!!! We haven't time to spend going through long litigation wording this is for you to do, and to explain to ourselves. Not for you to send patronising emails when we question your wording. And then to pass ourselves on to your Assistant because we complained about this. We got passed from pillar to post. Seriously the worst experience ever. Especially by Rebecca Jones They claim they have no file under my name absolute BS !!!!!!!

We are currently using this solicitor…

We are currently using this solicitor to purchase a house for my son. PLEASE do not use them they are absolutely useless. There has been no chain only a simply purchase but the process is still not resolved after 16 weeks. Last week we were told the contracts would be drawn up this week, today we were told there is yet another issue to resolve before this can happen. They do not answer the telephone or any emails. Please do not use these solicitors.

Completely useless

AVOID. I just wish I could give 0 stars. Conveyancing Direct are beyond awful. They have made a simple sale drag on over 8 months. They never return calls, and take days to reply to emails. Their staff are rude and incompetent. They should be closed down
