Terrible company, shocking communication
Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

Absolute nightmare dealing with the…
Absolute nightmare dealing with the company. There was additional notice of charge which they promised to refund if not valid and it took me more than 15 chaseup calls, 2 weeks of waiting and good arguments before they issued a cheque. They seems extremely good at answering the call but never reverted back with updates or case manager never called despite being several chase ups. Whenever asked to put through case manager or any supervisor, excuses were as usual.. in meeting or not in office irrespective what time you call. This solicitor was Lender's (Skipton building society) choice so have no control unless I pay for own lawyer services but guess lender would need to review their suggested lawyers.

Don’t use these cowboys
Don’t use these cowboys, was recommended to use through Connells Estate agents in Oldbury... took ages to sort out house move when there was only a short chain, never retuned our calls ... lost important documents... worst of all when we thought we had paid our final bill 8 weeks later they demand more ,telling us they forgot to add vat to our bill .. they then withheld our stamp duty payment to the government blackmailing us until we paid the vat to them even though we had a final bill from them saying everything had been paid .. Imbeciles😡

I wonder if they write their own good reviews. Their fees are outrageous! I was referred by Connells to use their services to buy my 5th property. There has been Zero contact since receving a default welcome pack email from them . Their fees were unclear (to me ) from the welcome pack and I have received no instruction and no guidance to fill out documents. now is about 2 days before the completion day. Their completion fee statement shocked me and my regular solicitor. they charge me £1198.80 Purchase professional fee (at least £450 higher than my other solicitor quotes). Then they add a ''fee for acting for your lender on your mortgage' of £210 (none of the other three solicitors I have previously used charged this). Every other single charges are higher than the others too. I have no choice and I have paid them (even if my other solicitor comments the fees are ridiculous) ! If you have too much money and want minimum services, USE THEM and GOOD LUCK!

I wont use them again, had problems with buying the house however instead of them doing the work it was me doing the working telling what options I have and can I do this or not!!! kept changing people so didn't have an account manager. wasn't very helpfully on anything and took a very long time. They would never contact the other side until l told them. very lazy company.
