Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

Don't use this company unless you have experience of buying and selling and you're prepared to check everything they do. Mine was a simple cash purchase of a freehold vacant property but it took 3 months for them to complete! I requested a copy of the title deed and fraud protection but both were overlooked and it's taken four months since completion to resolve. Their complaints process is appalling. I was made to feel as if I was awkward and unreasonable. They implied I was partly responsible because I hadn't noticed the fees were missing on the final statement breakdown that had eleven fees and costs listed. Finally after four months I received a grudging apology but I should be grateful they aren't going to charge me the £75 fee. You've been warned.

I switched after a slow start with a local company. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Leah Windeyer always provided written feedback on the day, and was available for a call when needed. She chased the sale through, kept on top of all changes, ensured there was 100% seamless cover when she on holiday and expedited the final transfer to my bank account. In total the house sale was complete in 10 weeks.

"Excellent" is a massive understatement. This company were offered to us as " a third on list option". No way they should be third. They were incredible, These need elevating up dramatically. Our conveyancing specialist Adele Mortimore was brilliant to work with, Her attitude, work rate and hand holding skills through the process of selling one home and buying another were simply amazing. Nothing to much trouble, took time to explain each stage, communicated exceptionally well, got the job done without delays on her part and more importantly made us feel secure in the knowledge the job was getting done. Cannot recommend this team highly enough.

I am currently using Conveyancing direct on a sale and purchase. They are slow to answer emails or don’t bother at all. Difficult to speak to the case handler. Slow to respond to phone calls, if at all. It has also come to light that there were omissions in their advice on a property I brought through them last May, which I am now having to deal with through their very slow complaints procedure. This is now affecting my ability to sell the property. My advice is to stay well clear of this company and to use a reputable solicitor. It might cost more but it will be worth it.

e have used a few different conveyancing solicitors in the past but by far Conveyancing Direct has been the most professional and stress free lawyers we have come across. Extremely easy to contact and I have not had to chase any of the process when selling our property. We will be definitely using this company in the future as our experience is hard to come by.
