Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.

My recent house purchase was a particularly long and frustrating process and whilst I hold many complaints about most (if not all) of the relevant parties involved I cannot speak higher of Conveyancing Direct. My solicitor, Hayley (our having the same name is purely coincidental I assure you) was understanding, prompt, competent and reassuring at a time when all of those qualities were invaluable to me. She made the most incomprehensible scenario's make sense and looked after all of my best interests at all times. Above and beyond all of that she also went out of her way to calm me at the most pivotal points of the purchase. Throughout the whole process I constantly thanked Hayley for all of her help. I do not know what i would have done without her.

We have been dealing with Kieran Wilson from Conveyancing Direct all through COVID 19. We highly recommend them Kieran has been fantastic and very fast, we have been able to create a good relationship with the sellers and had dinner with them. Kieran was still able to give us updates faster than the sellers could and we have had the constant reaction of wow your solicitors are fast. Kieran has a fine eye for detail and has been fantastic with advice and support through this process, we will be using them again in the future for sure! This is the 2nd time I've used this company, that speaks volumes and probably all you need to know, however if I read these comments I would have probably avoided, glad I didn't as our handler (CW) was excellent, pushed the sale through as quickly as he was able to, chased people without being prompted, replied to us when he said he would and kept us in the loop throughout. Glad to have someone with a human disposition and treated us with respect and gave us complete confidence. Of course maybe not every is as good as our case handler, but if you get CW then you wont be disappointed. Thanks so much again from us now settled in our happy home.

Absolutely terrible experience! Pure lack of communication! Case passed between staff, this was not communicated. I formally complained only to be told it was adequate service during current times I didn't want money merely an acknowledgement of the terrible service - My house went through eventually but I will not be using this firm ever again. I wish I had read the reviews and not felt pressured by my estate agents.

The first solicitor was really bad with communication. The responses to my questions seemed to be copy pasted from FAQ pages. The report that was written had a lot of errors, wrong statements about the content of certain documents. Emails were missing attached documents. I was not sure if this kind of sloppiness was what I should expect or not. When I was finally ready to leave the company, I was assigned someone much better that did respond to my questions, clarified issues, etc. The whole process was beyond frustrating, but it ended up ok.

Very poor customer service. Got moved between solicitors, first one was totally irrespectful, never replied to a single email (I sent him about 10 emails over about two weeks time and Never got any reply!) and never informed about any progress on our case (there was no progress at all). Finally got moved to another solicitor only after complaining and saying that we will move our business somewhere else, and the second solicitor did better job although still not as good as you would expect spending thousands of pounds of your money you have been working hard to earn in the first place. Very poor care of the customer, they don't seem to care. Will definitely not use this company again and will not recommend to anyone.
