Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.
Me and my partner have had a very good time with this company our solicitor Tom Mclaren-Roberts has been such a star always available when we have questions and was always quick at completing everything we needed

Great service from Samina. Kept me up to date throughout the conveyancing process. Good sense of humour. What an asset she is to the organisation!
We were recommended Conveyancing Direct, by Peter Alan, Whitchurch and they have been superb throughout the process of buying our first home. Despite being on the other side of the country, we had no problem communicating with the team and our conveyancer Adele, who has been excellent. We found their online portal for submitting documents simple and easy to use. Thanks again.
I instructed Conveyancing Direct to conduct my recent property sale in Cardiff. I was very impressed with the standard of service provided throughout by Stean Davies and Samina Ashraf. Their professional expertise, efficiency and client care were outstanding, including successfully delivering under pressure against a tight timescale in the current extremely busy housing market within the operational period of stamp duty relief. As a retired solicitor myself of more than 45 years' experience I have great pleasure in commending Stean and Samina as fine representatives of Conveyancing Direct which I shall not hesitate to recommend.
If we could award more stars we would. Sarah Stewart was exemplary in her dealings with various parties. She was always available and kept us up to date on a very regular basis. We have no hesitation in recommending Conveyancing Direct. In addition Kellee Piper is also worthy of mention as she covered Sarah's caseload when Sarah was on holiday and it was seamless.
Recommended via Connells as their in-house team, agreeing to use Conveyancing Direct was a very bad decision. First case worker appeared to do very little, didn't take calls, rarely returned emails and then one day vanished - which I found out by accident when I copied in another case worker after becoming fed up by non-replies. My case had been sitting with no one else assigned. Took 2 days to allocate a new case worker. Now Conveyancing Direct have stopped responding to the other solicitors and estate agents in the chain. I cannot recommend this company.
Used for our recent sale/purchase (we were steered to them by our Estate Agent). There were a couple of personnel changes which didn't help things early on but once Andrew Henderson got involved things improved markedly. Ongoing solicitors seemed to be slow and Andrew went above and beyond in trying to get things moving. We also had a potentially fatal issue with the title deeds of the property we sold but Andrew came up with a solution which enable the sale to proceed. As with most solicitors you need to chase up on progress but I think that should be expected during a house move.
We received amazing service from Andrew Henderson at conveyancing direct. I was constantly updated and grateful for the support we received from Andrew. I would highly recommend conveyancing direct!
I cannot speak highly enough of my solicitor Kieran Wilson who has been a guiding force through the sale of my property. Kieran was always available, and although I am aware that he is incredibly busy, I never got the impression that he was too busy to speak to me or to respond to my emails or calls. Kieran was a trusted advisor to me during a process which was incredibly painful (due to delays with the chain) and kept me encouraged and motivated about the sale when I really thought it would fall through. I was originally dubious using a conveyancing firm which isn't based locally, but I feel incredibly lucky to have instructed Kieran as I could not have asked for a more professional, organised and prepared solicitor. The fact that he was based in another city made absolutely no difference at all and I would not hesitate to instruct him again. I will also be recommending Kieran and his colleague Christian Wehko (who covered and helped push things through when Kieran was on leave) to everyone I know. Thank you Kieran, I could not have asked for more.
