Our experience with Conveyancing Direct was a total letdown. It felt like we were completely in the dark, especially as first-time buyers, thanks to their lousy communication. Going through the complaints process, we were constantly brushed off, pretty much putting all of the blame on us for not magically understanding a process we hired them to guide us through. One of the most frustrating things was receving all of the crucial documents we needed, including the fixture and fittings form, DAYS before exchanging. Most of these documents were dated four months prior to this but apparently that's completely normal to be unaware of the details of the house you are buying until it's too late? I know solicitors are typically slow and require you to chase a lot, but when the company are failing to reply to complaints within their own 'prescribed time frame', you know something is wrong. And when they eventually did, they managed to send it to the wrong email addresses entirely - superb attention to detail. If you are purchasing through Connells and have been connected to this company, don't do it. Just Google a well-reviewed local solicitors and use them. Our sellers were also using Conveyancing Direct and we thought it would make the whole process smoother, but I don't think they were handled by the same office, let alone the same team/person. And if they were, I have absolutely no idea how they can manage it so poorly as the reason we were forced to exchange so quickly at the end of the process was due to how frustrated the seller was with them too. There's plenty more we could mention, but in short: avoid them at all costs. The endless bad reviews speak for themselves.
Me and my partner have had a very good time with this company our solicitor Tom Mclaren-Roberts has been such a star always available when we have questions and was always quick at completing everything we needed
I just want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for all the support and dedication you've shown me throughout this journey. I truly appreciate the time you've spent answering my calls and guiding me, no matter how many times I reached out. Your patience, professionalism, and steadfast commitment have made a significant impact, and I’m genuinely grateful for everything you've done. Thanks again for everything! This review goes out for Tom Mclaren-Roberts. From mr and mrs Momoh

Absolutely awful company. I was passed from Pilar to post and can't name the majority of the people I dealt with. Took £75 fee from me twice for my property papers and not acknowledging that I paid for it twice. I have no proof as I have changed banks and do not have the original direct debit on record. I was then pestered by multiple employees for me to make a £500 payment even though I only had a mortgage in principle. Consequently my sale fell through. I have paid them £650 in total and they refunded me £100. I have asked Emily Briers for evidence of where my money has been used and have had no reply except for Haroon Mohammad (who was aware of the first £75 payment and took the second) to ask me for proof of the original £75 payment 😡 that they know I am not able to prove. DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY UNTIL YOU KNOW YOU ARE MAKING THE PURCHASE. Or rather, AVOID AVOID, AVOID!

Absolute shambles from start to finish, our conveyancer for our purchase "forgot" to send for our searches( her words not mine), then sat on a vital request from building society for 4 weeks as she didn't know what it was, took me 30 seconds to Google it! What should have been a 8-12 week experience actually took 22 weeks, we had first time buyers and were buying an empty property. If you get Brittany as your conveyancer then I suggest you run for the hills and don't stop. We were promised a different conveyancer on 3 occassions

Absolutely terrible, no reply to my emails, solicitor being changed between them after few weeks and the new ones not having a clue about what they were doing blaming the bank or anything else about from them, terrible customer service and feedback from them; not professional at all

I would not use this company again, had four different solicitors to buy an empty house took just under 7months. Every time one went on holiday another took over. Portal didn't work but got charged for using it even though I ended up having to send e-mails. It was excuse after excuse. Estate agent recommended them, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Tara Lopez has been a pleasure to work along side with to help a client get their property to auction. Tara is on the ball, giving regular updates and extremely kind. Thank you Tara! x Penny at WHB Traditional Auctions

Thanks to my solicitor Sarah for a smooth sale despite challenging deadlines. Six weeks from acceptance of offer to completion! Agents thought it was a near impossible ask to meet the buyers' demands but we achieved it without a hitch. All very professionally handled. I felt well-supported throughout and all my questions were quickly answered, all my e-mails got very rapid responses. Top job.

We have been communicating with Reece Seymour at Conveyancing Direct, as well as a few other members of the team who have all been polite, efficient, professional, helpful and for us everything has been handled perfectly. Thank you.
