I'm loving my new phone carrier…

I'm loving my new phone carrier Consumer Cellular. The representative I had was was Awesome. She got my phones switched over with the quickness! So glad I switched over from T-Mobile, because as soon as the switch was made over to Consumer Cellular my phone start running much faster. Thanks again C.C.

The staff were so helpful to me

The staff were so helpful to me. I was switching from AT&T Prepaid and they were making it very difficult to leave by throwing up roadblocks such as refusing to give me my transfer PIN. The folks at Consumer Cellular, however, were persistent and got it for me. My experience was wonderful and I am glad I made the switch.

Customer Service phone reps are AMAZING!!

We bought new phones at Target and the clerk activated and transfered the data from our old phones to the new ones. I had trouble at home because there is no physical SIM card, it's an eSIM that Consumer Cellular needed to download for me. The customer service tech, Vincent, was extremely helpful in getting that done. The other issue I had was getting Google to verify my old phone number on the new device to activate the RCS chat feature. I called Consumer Cellular again and this time Amanda was the one who corrected the issue. Let me tell you, I've been with Verizon for over 15 years and was very hesitant about changing carriers due to worrying about how difficult it would be. Consumer Cellular customer service is EXCELLENT, especially Vincent and Amanda. They make fixing problems over the phone easier than I thought it would be. My only request is that Consumer Cellular consider having physical locations to bring your phone to for in-person service. I think not having that option stops people from changing because they are worried about trying to fix problems themselves. I want to tell anyone worried about that to call the Consumer Cellular customer service and their extremely helpful and patient representatives will help you through the set up and any issues you might have. We're so glad we switched!

I've been a customer for many years...

I've been a customer for many years. Recently I've been very disappointed when upgrading to a new phone. In the past, my phones came with a charging cable with a USB plug on one side and a the type of plug that goes into the adapter for the wall outlet - don't know the name for this end plug. My new phone came with a USBc cable with the same USBc plug on both ends - had no way of charging my phone. Customer service says I could buy what I needed for 20 bucks or go to Walmart or similar store. That's ridiculous. I thought consumer cellular was above this kind of thing. What greed. I feel very different about the company now. All they had to do was send a cable that I could use with the many wall-plug-chargers that I have now. CC, I'll update this review, if you decide to do the right thing. T. Nelligan

My thoughts so far

I have only had the phone and service for a couple of days. I do like the phone and the cost was very reasonable. The service so far is great. I did have a small problem with one of the customer service persons he just wanted to be right and he wasn't so I left it at that with him.

I had been looking for another carrier…

I was looking for another carrier other than T Mobile, I have been with them for over 20 years. No matter what I would remove or pay off, like phones and anything I had added, but my bill would never go down. I saw a commercial for Consumer Cellular and I called them and found I could move to them and for the first-time I was actually going to save money. I am thrilled to have move to Consumer Cellular. Never been happier.

It didn't take long to contact someone.

It didn't take long to contact a helpful person. They spoke clear English too! The person knew exactly how to get our phone working correctly again and was cheerful to.

Amazing! Carlos @Surprise AZ He is incredible 😀

Carlos made our transition seamless. He took care of everything 😀 We are new to Consumer Cellular and need new phones. We went to the Surprise AZ store and Carlos took care of everything,he is helpful explained everything to us what needed. Walk out of the store and hour later! We'll NEVER go back to our old carrier. Love the phones,plans everything we are so happy we made the change

Deception going on here

Deception going on here. Website joining checks the IMEI and my Moto G Stylus was said it was compatible. It worked for 1 day without being able to call out or in. I had used of texting, data, and Hotspot, and called CC customer service. They said my phone was incompatible. So I switched to my Galaxy J3 Eclipse (also compatible according to website IMEI check). Same problem. No calls in or out. Then I switched back to the Moto and no signal bars at all. Insert Verizon sim card and the bars were all there. Both phones are unlocked and paid for. Now the Moto wont work at all on this SIM they provided. The J3 only has messaging and data and hotspot so I called CC and they said neither phone was good and I had to buy one of theirs. Done with CC. Goodbye. I think this is a lawsuit here. I have proof of the compatibility on each documented.

Riley at the Eau Claire/Consumer Cellular woman

Riley at the Eau Claire, WI Target was most helpful and patient. Unfortunately we had to wait 35 minutes before we were waited on because there was another person ahead of us. I believe 2 techs would be much kinder to the public so no one has to ever wait that long. I had been on my sister's account for a few years and I was told she had to come with me and I had to order my phone from Target in order to transfer my photos, number, etc...because she was the account holder. I ordered a new phone from Target and now have my own account. This whole process took over 2 hours but the woman on the phone (Consumer C.) and Riley were wonderful. So far, so good. I'll know better when I get my first bill because I then want to go paperless and save $5 every month. Everyone at Target and Consumer Cellular speaks proper English too which is a massive plus in my world. Foreign speaking individuals trying to speak English are rarely, easily understood. Everyone talks like their hair is on fire, slow down and enunciate. Consumer Cellular uses people in America, no foreign speaking people. And thank you for your company being based in America. I believe I may be happy being in this family.

Professionalism

Professionalism. Outstanding communicative skills. Problem-solving had been smooth. Agents' verbal instructions clear, concise. CC seems not to hire ESL reps who speak incomprehensible English. Firm a refreshing, U.S.-based outlet that is at the top of customer service in the cellular phone industry.
