They can't improve .they advertise like it's too good to be true.well guess what folks it isn't nothing but issues false ststements..the only thing missing is the accent...you know what I mean misleading people And not wanting to refund for services not given...try othe options..when a business doesn't have a location to go to..you know something is wrong......VERY DISAPPOINTED AND PISSED OFF....THEIR NO BETTER THEN A THEIF IN WOLFS CLOTHING.....!!!!!!!!
Instructions that came with sim card were useless. Instructions said to activate my account on their website. I attempted - site stated it was sending a text. Never got a text. Attempted using email. Email said it would send a text. No text received. I had to call from another phone to transfer my service to CC. The process was ridiculous and nothing like you see on their ads.
Salesperson Mia was awesome. She answered all my questions and went over and above expectations. She was able to get me the perfect phone and service. She explained everything and has the patience of a saint! Would highly recommend her and consumer cellular!

When my previous cellular contract was ending its term, I decided to try switching to Consumer Cellular as I had heard so many good things about its customer service and affordability. Not only did they make switching easy, they helped me set up their service on my new phone. Their customer service representative was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with me as we went through all the steps that ended up taking about an hour. I really really appreciated this kind understanding exceptional customer service.
Went to the brick and mortar in Springfield, IL and everyone there were very nice and cordial. The employee that helped us was very knowledgeable and the supervisor was definitely an asset to the company. Was in and out after switching and my husband getting a new phone in no time. Been telling all my friends!
The phone came through very quickly in a well sealed box. The unit had a program to transfer data from old phone which we used. After completion of this, some of the apps were operational. Upon further review I found the phone functions were not operational, and I contacted the techs via chat. This was taken care of overnight and by morning, the phone was operable. After using phone a couple of days, it has gone wild with pop ups and all kinds of strange actions. I am not happy I am an old person and this has not been fun. We will overcome.
I had a very pleasant experience getting connected to Consumer Cellular. The technician that assisted me was very patient and knowledgeable.
My husband and I decided to switch phone carriers and called for help switching phones. We were full of dread until Katherine answered. She is the sweetest, most patient representative I have ever dealt with. She switched my husband's phone then stayed on the line to help with my phone. She is amazing! If everyone CC hires is like minded and has the same character as Katherine, then CC has figured it out. Congratulations!
I wish I could rate a zero 0. Consumer Cellular(CC) is a SCAM . I got their service around May 25th,2025 and hell ever since. The coverage is shotty at best. I.got 1 line for $20 a month plan, no hidden fees. First billing period they charged me for 2 lines. $50. I decided to cancel and they would credit me back the difference. Never happens. They instead charge me an extra billing period because though I asked for transfer pin they don't release until they can get u into their next billing cycle but I have NO SERVICE. Why Because they don't release your number til they good and ready. (Over 10 days )So for them CC u still have service but your phone does NOT work. Hows that for tricks? Call them back u are sent to support which I learned from a worker is an actual RETENTION UNIT! Well sorry for all the old people who is their target market. FYI never underestimate the elderly. That unit is AGGRESSIVE and quite a PUT OFF. SO AS OF TODAY 8/28/25 after all the tricks of bogus information to my new phone company, I was successful in getting away from them. But Consumer CELLULAR is still hitting my bank account when they already have 3 months of charging me without service!!! Newsflash they don't have team mobile only AT&T. SHADY PRACTICES, UNRELIABLE SERVICE, SCAMPISH WAYS. TRUE MAKING OF A COMPANY TO FOLD WITHOUT WARNING ONE DAY. HERE I THOUGHT THEY WERE AT LEAST DECENT. I CRINGE THINKING OF UNKNOWING NEW COMERS. RUN!!!!
The iPhone 16e that I received is working fine. I like the features that it has. So far so good.
When switching from different carrier your agents were efficient, knowledgeable and able to complete a difficult switch as I didn’t have some necessary information. They helped over a period of two days to complete the transition process. The connection department (not sure of name of department) was especially helpful…Matthew and one other person.
My new phone arrived in just a couple of days. I had put off getting a new phone for a lond time because I didn't want want the hassle of setting up new phone but process has greatly improved. In fact it was a piece of cake. The only glitch was after all apps were transferred, I couldn't call out on either phone so I went to my Chromebook and did a quick chat with a rep who advised I just needed to restart my new phone and that worked.
So far everything is going according to what I was told it would be!!!
Was not easy to make the switch from ATT but with help from customer service finally got it done. Have been experiencing crackling noise on some outbound cell calls, had never had that with ATT. Have not traveled as yet to determine connection reliability.
