AVOID COLLINGWOOD AT ALL COSTS! Take into consideration all negative reviews and don’t overlook it like I did!!! Before purchasing I called them to double check everything and was mislead over the phone, which made me go for the worse option. I misunderstood the fine prints because they were not clearly written, and are also misleading. Not to mention the spelling mistakes over the emails exchanged. I purchased learner insurance for a set amount of months, passed my driving test before the policy ended and they are refusing to refund the money for the months I will not use the learner insurance (which I have no option but to cancel). I’ve lost £160. They are claiming I never spoke to one of their agents which is a lie. Why would I have bought a policy over others without having spoken to anyone? Do not recommend them in the slightest! Go for reputable insurance companies instead, cheap becomes costly and it’s not worth it! Regardless of policy you go for its clear that you will be at loss!

Collingwood Insurance are by far the…

Collingwood Insurance are by far the best insurance company in the UK. Liam was an absolute gem. He was very polite and helpful. He was able to get me insured on my car at a very affordable rate. I would recommend these guys to everyone. Thank you Collingwood and Liam for your help!

So difficult to deal with

So difficult to deal with, their "live Chat" is never live its just a bot and their phone line simply tells you to go online and hangs up, if you want to change the car they charge £35, ok this is fairly normal but they refuse to give you a price for the new insurance until after you have paid them to change it I mean are they even allowed to do that?

Faster you pass the bigger the penalty.

Learner driver insurance. I never had to call as we didnt have an accident so i dont know how good their service would have been. But warning, please read the small print. The faster you pass the bigger the cancellation charge. my lad passed his test after 7 months and so i cancelled the policy. Got charged for the pillage. Its all in the small print but the faster you pass the larger the cancellation fee. I know all insurance companies have admin fees etc.. but with a learner driver policy its inevitable you will cancel, you have no choice :-) So just something to add to the total costs comparison, dont just go on the initial cost. Their customer service was quick on the phone but at the end of the day it seemed a strange fee, and the texts i got seem to come from a "Recover" service, so they could adjust that a little bit to be more friendly. In a few years time i can see it being pointless learning to drive until you are about 25.
