AVOID COLLINGWOOD AT ALL COSTS! Take into consideration all negative reviews and don’t overlook it like I did!!! Before purchasing I called them to double check everything and was mislead over the phone, which made me go for the worse option. I misunderstood the fine prints because they were not clearly written, and are also misleading. Not to mention the spelling mistakes over the emails exchanged. I purchased learner insurance for a set amount of months, passed my driving test before the policy ended and they are refusing to refund the money for the months I will not use the learner insurance (which I have no option but to cancel). I’ve lost £160. They are claiming I never spoke to one of their agents which is a lie. Why would I have bought a policy over others without having spoken to anyone? Do not recommend them in the slightest! Go for reputable insurance companies instead, cheap becomes costly and it’s not worth it! Regardless of policy you go for its clear that you will be at loss!

A good start when I first took out…
A good start when I first took out monthly insurance with Collingwood,but upon my son's passing his test was charged £140 cancellation fee ,you have zero choice upon cancelling policy once they pass as it's a learner policy,so why was I charged £140 for a monthly payment plan not happy at all and will not be encouraged to recommend to anyone, highly suspect I've been conned

Hidden compulsory cancellation charge
This company will charge learner drivers £40 for the company cancelling the insurance after they pass their test. The charge is in the Ts & Cs but not clear even there- and who has time to read pages of those for every online transaction anyway. You'd think you could just let the policy lapse as no longer valid, but they charge you to cancel it. Avoid unless you're getting a much cheaper price than anywhere else.
