AVOID COLLINGWOOD AT ALL COSTS! Take into consideration all negative reviews and don’t overlook it like I did!!! Before purchasing I called them to double check everything and was mislead over the phone, which made me go for the worse option. I misunderstood the fine prints because they were not clearly written, and are also misleading. Not to mention the spelling mistakes over the emails exchanged. I purchased learner insurance for a set amount of months, passed my driving test before the policy ended and they are refusing to refund the money for the months I will not use the learner insurance (which I have no option but to cancel). I’ve lost Β£160. They are claiming I never spoke to one of their agents which is a lie. Why would I have bought a policy over others without having spoken to anyone? Do not recommend them in the slightest! Go for reputable insurance companies instead, cheap becomes costly and it’s not worth it! Regardless of policy you go for its clear that you will be at loss!

Suggest people do their research before using this company

It is relatively easy to get a good price for learners insurance policy. But it should be clear that, even if you buy an annual policy, the likelihood is that you will have to pay more when you pass your test. My son passed his test after 8 months, and had to pay more when we cancelled (as advised by them). And even though I hadn't signed up to CPA (continuous payment authority) as it was an annual policy, they took the money from the card that originally paid the policy which they are not allowed to do. I was in discussion about all these points with them, but they have now stopped replying. So they may appear to be cheap, but do your research!! Update following their eventual response (6 weeks later). My review content still stands, make sure you do your research and understand the process before signing up to Collingwood.

Great service

Been using Collingwood taxi insurance a while now and always get great service the agents I speak to are always helpful and friendly and today was no exception I was helped by Lisa who as always give me great service and is so friendly and helpful can’t fault them and I also now like the new call waiting system instead of leaving your number
