The best day of my life that I…

The best day of my life that I discovered Church's shoes. Last year went to the London shop at Jermyn street. They provided great service to deliver the shoes at my hotel. The shoes have a perfect fit from the moment I put them on. Went on that day visiting two museums and never took the shoes off. Yes expensive but worth all the money because they are ready to wear because of the fine leather. This year I am ordering again a pair of Oxfords (Consul). Size 8.5 last G. Can't wait untill they arrive through the Brussels store. Church's thanks you ever so much. Mr. Bout - Netherlands

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for personal service I had the pleasure of being helped by Idjana at Church’s on Jermyn Street, London, and I can’t speak highly enough of her. What began as a frustrating experience with the main customer service interaction quickly turned into one of the best examples of customer service I’ve ever encountered—thanks entirely to her. Idjana went above and beyond to not only attempt to resolve the issue I was facing but did so with genuine care, professionalism, and attention to detail. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to making sure a customer leaves happy, and that’s exactly what she did. Her empathy, product knowledge, and proactive approach transformed my day. This kind of service is what builds lasting customer loyalty, and Idjana is a true credit to the Church’s brand. Thank you!

DiSAPPOINTING UNHELPFUL SERVICE

Relatively brand new pair Church Grafton , lace broke , opened a new spare and lace snapped when tightening shoe . Complained to Church’s Whatapp with pictures and an anonymous respondeehas put me through the hoops with records and numerous angle pictures of a broken lace on a 1k pair of shoes . Ridiculous attitude and nothing compared to the historical high service that Church’s offered pre their sale. Couldn’t bring myself to buy again and they seriously should invest in proper customer relations staff , not acceptable .

PRADA has scattered the brand

PRADA has scattered the brand. Rubber soles with fake seams. -Church was a brand that stood for quality. I pay for quality not for the brand. So now I have to look further for the real thing.

Quality and price no longer related

Wonderfully made shoes almost on a par with Alden’s. My advice would be, however, not to use their website until you know your exact fitting! Their website requires work as it lags behind in quality what it represents. (Sad update 5/2023: Prada-Church’s prices have gone through the roof nonsensically not related to actual quality anymore, hence Cheaney’s and Loake’s much better option for shoe lovers)

Very disappointed indeed with Church's

Very disappointed indeed with Church's. I have been buying Church's shoes for 20 years and then bought a pair of slippers as Christmas present for my elderly father. I discovered months later that he had not worn them - at all - and asked if I could return them. Church's refused because (and they were right about this) the time limit for returns had expired, so no refund nor credit against a future purchase. That is not the sort of approach I would expect from a supposedly top-end business. Premium prices but not premium customer service.

Fabulous Product, Lousy Web Site

Fabulous Product, Fabulous Staff, Lousy Web Site - Way too much heavy-duty pictures makes loading this site feel like pushing a boulder up a steep mountainside. However, if you manage to cope with the lacklustre site and the dyslexic staff, the product is well worth it and if you're in Canada, these are just the shoes you wanted, particularly as the new treaty between Canada and the EU has just been ratified, abolishing the ridiculous punitive Canadian Tariff. These men's shoes are the ones that say more about you than you ever could. They're the ones that will get you that dream job you've always wanted. Don't be afraid to ask, the staff are super-helpful (even if they can't spell to save their lives!).

I will never buy from this company again

I should have read reviews here before deciding to buy shoes online from this company, however as such a well respected brand I didn't feel it was necessary. Lesson learned. Shoes bought as a Christmas gift for my dad - not 100% sure on size but I knew I could exchange if they didn't fit. As I couldn't travel for Christmas to him I decided to just return them with the plan to buy them again closer to the time I could travel and see him. Over 3 months later and I have only now received my refund. Countless calls with Church's customer service who don't seem to have a clue. Shoes eventually picked up several weeks after arranging for this - shoes lost for a time in transit by DHL, then ended up back at my relative's house! (where they had been delivered in the initially as was staying there at the time). New paperwork they sent me not scanning as incorrect. ££ spent on calls to DHL to try rectify. An absolute farce and no goodwill from the company on any potential future purchases (as if, but I would have expected something given the mess it was). Service like this is appalling from any company but when one is spending over £500 for shoes.....diabolical.

The customer service is quite terrible. I’m still trying to return a pair of boots (to big). They don’t return emails or respond to phone calls

Don't purchase shoes from this company...

Church's customer service is horrific. Don't purchase from Church's online, ever. I bought a pair of shoes that was too small in size, returned them, and the team refused to accept my return as they found "scratches" on the heels. The shoes were sent back to me - the "scratches" they spoke about I could not have caused as I tried the shoes literally without taking a step, and these scratches could also barely be seen. For a month I haven't heard back from the CS team. This company just isn't run professionally with a "customer-first" mindset, and I will never purchase from here again.

Great shoes but terrible customer…

Great shoes but terrible customer service. First time I bought online and the product was faulty (first time in 10 pairs) . Tried three times to get DHL to pick them up and they never called. The customer services were not interested and empowered to help. Will never buy on line again. For a premium product it’s a very poor service

I first purchased Church shoes in the 1970's

When I first purchased Church shoes in the early 1970's in London, I did not know how good they were but after wearing them for a year I bought more and more until at one point I had more than twenty pair. I would send them back to the factory to resole and heel and they would come back like new. Rarely did I throw a pair away. About ten years ago, I noticed that the quality was going down so I quit buying them, but since I already had many pair, I did not care. But recently, I sent a pair back to Chicago to forward to the factory for resoling and heels. Well, after two months they told me my shoes could not be repaired because they were built the old way. I told them to throw them out and I will make do with the dozen pair I own. What a shame the new owners have lowered the quality and not the price.

Very very good shoes

I have ordered several pairs from Church’s website this year for the first time as my go to retailer stocks many fewer models and colours nowadays. The shoes are top quality only bettered by Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling. I find their leathers better than C&J and their insoles too. E shop was excellent and very efficient with goods arriving very well packaged.
