Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

HYPNOTHERAPY/ COUNSELLING COURSE. You will and I absolutely GUARANTEE be disappointed you did not listen to this trust pilot post. These courses are 100% amateur in every way. You get absolutely no help and the homework does not match the work in classrooms. Lecturer never gets back to you. Do not I MEAN DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CHRYSLIS REPLY ON THIS POST. Save your money. Has been a good experience with plenty of support from the admin team and some good tutors; - as a former NVQ Assessor/Verifier I found the learning format and evidence production easy to follow, most of the hands on work has been delivered through volunteer counselling as a student. Flexible approach to attendance and was able to take a few months off to support family when needed last year, and slipped back where I had left off the following year. Good variation scheme for days when you might be on leave: can catch up in a different city/venue as Chrysalis operate across the UK. Well worth it!

I have found that these courses have met my needs. Because it is held on the week ends it can fit around my day job, giving me time to qualify. I have grown in confidence and have met some interesting people. The best that I have found with Chrysalis is the teaching staff. they know their stuff which they are willing to pass on to the future counsellors

My Tutor Rhianan is exceptional. Her commitment to us as students is faultless. I am not as pleased with Chrysalis as a company if I am completely honest. I fee that the back office isn’t particularly helpful in my experience. I have had my skills practice marked and although I passed, the feedback I received was inadequate. I spent around 30 hours on each one and received a couple of sentences back for marking. My tutor (in contrast) gives really constructive feedback that is beneficial and that I can learn from. I like the layout of the course and feel it’s affordable but there is room for improvement as a company.

I have thoroughly enjoyed undertaking the year one Hypnotherapy course. This has been a great learning experience and journey and I have been lucky to have an excellent mentor and teacher in Sue Rowland. I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to develop personally and professionally. I am still awaiting my certificates but I hope these are received shortly so I can get started with opening up a practice. Thank-you Adam

Chrysalis have been very supportive and understanding throughout. I only ever intended to do a one year Hypnotherapy course but have signed up to complete another two years because I have enjoyed it so much. It was by far the cheapest way to get the qualification needed but I have felt it has given me all the necessary training needed to go out on my own and start a practice. Thank you Chrysalis!

An interesting first year however I was not happy to be doing hypnotherapy for a whole year before starting the counselling. I started this course thinking that the whole 3 years would be focused on counselling and psychotherapy however the first year is just hypnotherapy. I am beginning to think that no one actually wants to do hypnotherapy so they make you do it first as part of their 3 counselling course to try and gain interest. Also the tie in that chrysalis has with the National Hypnotherapy society means that you have to pay for two years of membership with the NHS just to get your certificate! That's £90 each year! But on the positive side I have finished the first year and am now looking forward to actually learning about counselling. I have met some wonderful people and Moodle is a really good tool, once you know how to use it.
