Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

I have just completed the Level 4 Advanced Diploma and would like to say how much I have enjoyed the course. It provides a comprehensive knowledge of counselling, giving the chance to explore all modalities, to better choose my own pathway for continued future development. My tutor was fantastic and I found the course sessions were highly informative and fun. Our group was great and we were all hugely supportive of one another making the peer group sessions invaluable. The course notes are very well written and packed with information. I found the course was well managed and support staff have always got back to me quickly, usually on the same day and been very helpful. My BACP placement accepted the course NCS accreditation with no issues whatsoever. The course has boosted my confidence and I feel excited about my future work in mental health. I have just finished the course and have finally received all of my certificates. I would love to say I enjoyed the experience and the course however, that couldn't be further from the truth. I loved meeting my class mates and to be honest that was the only highlight for me. First year was okay don't get me wrong but after that it went very downhill. If you want a course that offers support, knowledge and help, that works around you then don't bother with this one. There ae often mistakes in the course notes too. I have encountered multiple issues over the three years to the point it affected my health but i couldn't walk away as i wouldn't have got a refund so thought may as well get something to show for my money. The staff in the office fob you off most of the time, they offered no support finding my placement and told me there was no where they knew around my area.. helpful not.. i undertook my hours in year 2 something they agreed.. they then wouldn't accept this so i had to do more year 3 just not the full 100 again. They lost the hours i had sent them initially (blamed another staff member leaving) and was nothing but hardwork. They couldn't find anywhere that had said they had agreed to this. They made me do an updated supervisor assessment form again due to the above. They tell you a different answer every time you email or tell someone on my course something different. Whilst the staff in the office by email are friendly they are so unhelpful and you never get an answer. They just reply a load of waffle that never answers your question and irritates you more as you never get a straight answer. Last year they kept telling my aim award was being processed then 4 weeks later told me there had been a error their end so it hadn't sent to them.. why they hadn't noticed this in my first email is beyond me. When looking for a placement I struggled due to their bad reputation. I kept getting the same old ' we don't accept Chrysalis students. So again, on posts they say they support you in finding a placement this is a lie.. Time after time i asked for support and time after time i got more stress to the point i no longer want to do the profession as they have put me off that much with how horrid this experience have been. Most places nowadays for placement or work need you to be BACP registered this course is not although they will say they never guaranteed that, it was just never mentioned to us until it came to light and we were made aware of this year 2 by our class when BACP released a letter on this. If you want to do course where you are respected in the profess enjoy it and have support then don't pick this course. Also they say its easy to fit around your current commitments however, that is incorrect too. I am so glad i have to have nothing to do with Chrysalis ever again!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a student with Chrysalis for 3 years. I have had the best teachers who did their best to help me to finish my course. The staff at Chrysalis offices were excellent in answering questions and willing to go an extra mile to help me when they could have said no. I would recommend this product to my friends and family. My name is Ghizlane. I am just about to finish the three years course, which is the Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling with Chrysalis. I had an excellent experience because, during the last three years, whenever I have concerns, I call the south student support in the person of Emilly, she always listens to my concerns, and she does her best to help me. Moreover, my tutor, Mr Nick Cullen, is a very experienced, understanding and helpful.

The course was good however dates were set last minute for the sessions. Often the wording in the document handouts also caused confusion and often meant having to re-attempt homework for quite a few people on the course.

More efficient at chasing up money than replying to or dealing with any queries (promised call backs on 3 separate occasions which never materialised). The course is not overly taxing and is very much dependent on the quality of tutor.

I wouldn’t book a course with this company. Teaching is very hit and miss. Student services are not helpful. Course is over priced. They changed the curriculum half way through the course without warning. Large teaching groups. Final lesson in how to set up your private practice was 2 hours rather than 6. No information provided. Complete waste of time and the class left under prepared for private practice.

Enjoying the course and finding it interesting and thought provoking. The group I am working with are friendly and supportive. The tutor and Student Team are welcoming, friendly, professional and supportive. Tutor knowledge is good and comprehensive. The format of the course works well with my life commitments and I look forward to the tutorials - I come away with a buzz. Course content is quite comprehensive but there is a lot of reading around each subject. It involves perhaps more time and energy than I was expecting and I have struggled to keep up with my studies but I feel supported by my tutor and the Student Team to reach my goals. You are treated as the adult you are and are expected to take responsibility for your studies and yourself - there is no "hand holding" … but support is there when you need it.
