Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

I study in Reading and my tutor is excellent and delivering our course. Chrysalis courses has never failed to deliver. The new princes trust course has very good content materials and modules, I am very keen to learn more and complete my course. More excited for face to face teaching to resume for me, zoom is a different style of teaching and not enough practise can be done on This. I love the idea of having a placement and going into the field I want to practise in. the office team are friendly and at hand to deal with any queries very slow last year at responding but Lauren and Sophie have both been stars with my constant emails for help!! Do check the positive reviews, you will not be let down :) Happy

I was concerned at interview that the course manager did not seem to listen to my explanation of very relative experience or aim, but believed it the right course given the ethics of providers. Within two lectures I decided that it did not in any way meet my need, and no one at any time made contact to establish why I had stopped attending. I accepted this as a reflection on the providers. More than two years later I am being asked my view!

Was thinking about applying for one of their courses but was put off by all the bad reviews on here. Emailed them to ask a simple question with a yes/no answer, and they replied with some general information that was already in the prospectus. If that paragraph answered my questions, I wouldn't have sent an email. If that's a sign of what's to come, I think I dodged a bullet.

I started my hypnotherapy course in 2019 and had to defer when the pandemic had hit with many reasons chrysalis were very supportive with my decision. I recently resumed my studies this year and the online teaching is phenomenal my tutor and fellow class mates have been supportive. I can not wait to finish and complete my course as a qualified counsellor. I didn’t think I would like the hypnotherapy side but Chrysalis have changed mine mind, I would recommend this course to anyone, it is very flexible with one lessons per month good value for money.

I had an incredible journey with Chrysalis. I met some wonderful people. I learned so much about myself. I grew as an individual and this course changed me as a person. I am now a level 5 qualified Counsellor and enjoy working as a counsellor. Their proffessional bodies are now becoming more recognised as are Chrysalis with in the world of Counselling. Having wanted to do this course for about 8 yrs, I enrolled end 2019 and started May 2020 - It turned out to be a very challenging year for us all obviously. Unfortunately, due to family health issues, being able to be consistent with the workload has been hard and I would say that the workload could be better spaced as it ramps up significantly in the second half, with ongoing homework alongside the Unit 6 (which takes some thought and planning) and then more homework whilst we are doing our case studies. I found that the case studies were so interesting to do and I really enjoyed that process, however session planning, script writing and session notes take a long time too, so it would be helpful to focus on theory more the first 1/2 of course and emphasis be on practical application on the second half. It might just be me and my circumstances that made this very challenging. I have had to ask for an extension due to these difficult circumstances in order to get all the work in. With this my tutor Michelle, and Chrysalis Student Support Team have been very understanding, kind and supportive and this has meant so much to me, especially when I've felt overwhelmed at times. We all have to run our own races with this type of course, and I know I will get there - this week I hope! I am keen to crack on with Year 2, but would have preferred to start this in September, as it started before I had completed the Year 1 work (not their fault but I felt my brain would explode!). Hypnotherapy is not something I ever thought I would do, and I still prefer the counselling element, but, it is an excellent skill to have in the therapeutic 'toolbox' and I'm glad it forms a part of this course. Wish it could have been face-to-face but understand why it couldn't be. I've made some friendships that I feel will be life-long too.

After finishing the hypnotherapy course last year with Chrysalis, I have already opened my private hypnotherapy practice and continuing my L5 counselling training with them. Chrysalis tutors and admin staff (Becky is an angel) have been super supportive during the lockdowns with our training, enquiries, extra learning supplements, helping us with our worries and needs during such stressful and uncertain time. I have secured my placement now and can’t wait to start. My training and experience with Chrysalis has been only positive and I would truly recommend their courses.
