Chrysalis courses receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about communication and expensive.
Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

Have been waiting nearly a month for an email response from Student Support despite chasing. Tutors also take a long time to reply which causes delays when trying to submit assessments. No modules take place in July and August which means tutor contact is virtually non-existent as it is their summer break. The timing is not great as this is when most students in year 1 and 2 are working on their final practical assessments so are left without support for a crucial part of the studies. Moodle is relatively straight-forward and easy to navigate. I have found it frustrating having to print the class notes for each module. Seems like an unnecessary waste of paper. Not all of the module sessions are overly useful. Some are just a rehash of the materials on Moodle so there are some I attended where I did not feel like I learned anything new. Although, it was nice to interact and practice skills with fellow classmates, despite the tutor not knowing how to use break-out rooms on Teams for the online sessions… It is great that you can swap a couple of module sessions each academic year if you are not able to attend your regular session. The flexibility of having modules at the weekend is a bonus if you work full time during the week. Lots of textbooks to buy, but most of the required ones in year 2 are carried over into year 3 as well. If doing the 3yr course, you will need to pay for yearly membership for National Hypnotherapy Society and National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, alongside a registration fee each year for Princes Trust. If you are looking for a flexible course, Chrysalis fits the bill, but do not go into it with high expectations, especially in relation to response times! If you are extremely well-organised and can overlook the annoyance and niggles, it might just work for you.
Course was excellent, Neill Havers was very good, interesting and knowledgeable but the materials which had been promised me over the phone by one of your team were never sent before the course began. Therefore I was unable to prepare. When it came to doing a particular exercise working with our scripts and which the tutor had taken time to prepare only one student had received the materials and the tutor had to adapt on the spot. He had to read the script to us instead of us practising in pairs. This was really disappointing, particularly as he told us this is not the first time this has happened with Chrysalis. This significantly affected the learning experience and frankly was embarrassing for the tutor. We are paying good money for Chrysalis courses and this is really unprofessional. What made my experience great is a mix of different students, who recognise our knowledge is a key aspects for our Learning journey, and l am great full for the difference. My tutor and Chrysalis team whom l have felt supported throughout my studies and have gained knowledge and skills to assist me in my future career. Thank you.
Enjoyed a fantastic CPD day on Personality Disorders run by Martin Handy on Zoom. It was really well structured and informative. Everything was well planned, on time and easy to access. I will be back for more!

This could be a very good hypnotherapy course, but Chrysalis need to rethink the way the parts of the course are described and how we get conflicting information from Chrysalis.
The experience was very good. Meeting new friends and working in groups together was a good opportunity to swap thoughts and ideas on the experience. The tutors were very informative and helpful. I think it would be a good idea to have a certain number of student placement site secured for students as I found it very hard to secure a placement to complete my practice hours.
The chrysalis student support team have been hugely helpful over the past year. They have helped with the deferral of my studies and re-enrollment after a long break due to home circumstances. The process of deferring studies, re-enroling and transferring area was made very easy with their support team. I'm looking forward to the upcoming academic year!
