Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

I have been studying with Chrysalis since 2019 and have just qualified as a level 5 counsellor. (Covid meant it took a little longer) I’ve had 3 different tutors over this time and each of them have been very supportive, professional and knowledgeable. I was fortunate enough to be in a fantastic class, where the other students were supportive and kind. Each time I’ve contacted the Chrysalis office, they’ve responded promptly and been very helpful. I’ve really enjoyed the course and am thrilled to be able to start my new career as a counsellor.
I did the Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling over two years and loved it. I felt full supported by student support and had no issues during my time. Finding a placement was a little tricky as there was still a lot online/telephone and not yet face to face so it would have been good to have a placement sorted for me, although student support were great at offering information about who to contact for this. My tutor Gloria was excellent, she was warm, supportive and a fountain of knowledge. She really encouraged me and i felt heard. working full time and course work as well as placement was hard going but doable and i have learned so much thoughout the course and from being on placement. signing up for the course was one of the best thing's i've done and i'm so glad i embarked on this with Chrysalis.
For me personally, I have had two tutors whilst studying with Chrysalis, and both have been exceptional. They have been kind, supportive and very knowledgeable and they have made the whole experience easy. The groups are small and so you get lots of attention and time to build skills whilst working under the eyes of professionals. All of the support staff I have encountered have also been excellent and when ever I have had an issue, I don't think it has taken more than 2 days to sort out!
Leanne from South Student Support has been extremly helpful managing my student experience at Chrysalis, which I thoroughly enjoy the third year running.
I always find Leanne at student support to be really understanding and helpful. My tutor Toby has been incredibly supportive this academic year - very quick to ensure you feel alright when the training triggers emotions or brings up old (and difficult) experiences. I’ve really appreciated his care. He’s good fun and a great tutor - I really enjoy our training days. It’s a fabulous group of people, some of whom I now call friends. I find Moodle and the associated documents and videos easy to navigate and I understand what is being asked of me in each assignment - marking guidelines are great. Deadlines are straightforward and clear. Feedback is easy to find. I find recommended reading lists absolutely central to my self guidance/learning The venue in Bristol is great. Easy to get to, plenty of free parking and a good sized room The placement pack was really well laid out and easy to understand. Forms came back and forth extremely efficiently. It’s great to be able to swap two dates if you need to. Most importantly, I have found the entire experience to have become incredibly precious to me, it is something I’m proud of. I’m so pleased I chose Chrysalis, I feel encouraged, challenged and safe in this learning journey - thank you I only give 4 stars because we have had a few of our face to face training days swapped to online next year - I understand we have to move with the times but would have appreciated my views to have been captured before decisions were announced. I believe in engagement and felt disappointed by the lack of communication or listening before this was implemented.
