It was very easy to use Centauro, which I and my familiy has done for more than 15 years. During the last two years the service has overall developed and the price for full cover insurance.

Horrible experience. The only way to get there from Madrid airport is with a shuttle( badly organized) and once we got there we had to wait hours in the sun in the queue.
una stella perchè meno non si può. sono imbarazzanti, servizio clienti ridicolo. Effettuato prenotazione online pagamento andato a buon fine ma la prenotazione no, quindi mi trovo ad aver pagato ma no ho nessun numero di prenotazione in mano. per fare reclamo devi compilare un form dove il numero di prenotazione è obbligatorio. ho doovuto contestare il pagamento al servizio clienti della mia carta di credito. Evitate questa società come la peste.
Finger weg! Bei Abholung des Autos war viel los und die Mitarbeiter dementsprechend kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Von anderen Autovermietungen bin ich es gewohnt, gemeinsam mit einem Mitarbeiter das Auto in Empfang zu nehmen. Inkl. Erklärung und evtl. Dokumentation von bereits erfolgten Schäden. Ich bekam lediglich den Schlüssel auf den Tresen geknallt und musste das Auto selbst suchen. Bei der Abgabe dann die Abzocke: Mir wurde ein Schaden abgedichtet, den ich nicht verursacht habe. Und da ich leider keine Beweisfotos gemacht habe, wurden 270€ einbehalten. Das Personal, ebenfalls wieder kurz angebunden und unfreundlich, lies sich auf keine Diskussion ein. Nicht einmal ein Schadensbericht wurde mir ausgestellt. Nun hoffe ich auf Check24 und den Premiumschutz, um die Kosten zurück zu erhalten. Wie bereits in vorherigen Rezensionen geschrieben: Centauro lockt mit günstigen Angeboten und verdient am Ende mit solchen Methoden. Nie wieder Centauro. Einen Stern gibt es lediglich für die Nähe zum Flughafen und den Shuttleservice.

!!! BETRUG - NIE WIEDER Centauro !!! Wir haben unseren Leihwagen vom 28.06.25 - 05.07.25 über Check24 für 156,48 € gebucht. Die Restzahlung von 77,00 € für den zweiten Fahrer sollte zzgl. zu der Kaution von 1.400,00 € vor Ort am Flughafen auf Palma de Mallorca (PMI) erfolgen. Zusätzlich wurden fälschlicherweise folgenden Positionen abgebucht: 28/06/25 - Sale - Card/Tarjeta ****** = 165,00 € Propreauthorization - Card/Tarjeta ****** = 222,00 € Importe franquicia / Excess amount = 270,00 € 28/06/25 - 05/07/25 - 1x Out Of Hours = 40,00 € (das Fahrzeug wurde 15 Minuten früher vor Ort abgegeben und die Sachbearbeiterin „Barbara“ sagte, dass dies in Ordnung und kostenlos möglich sei). Letztendlich haben wir für die Woche 930,48 € statt eigentlichen 233,48 € bezahlt, obwohl wir das Fahrzeug ohne Schäden, vollgetankt und ordnungsgemäß wieder abgegeben haben. Zudem mussten wir bei Abholung erst einmal über 2 Stunden am Schalter warten, bis wir die Schlüssel für das Fahrzeug erhalten haben. Das gleiche Szenario ereignete sich in Alicante am 29.05.2025. Finger weg von diesem Billiganbieter, der zunächst mit günstigen Mietpreisen lockt und im Nachhinein versucht den Kunden abzuzocken!!! Wir haben bereits eine mündliche sowie schriftliche Beschwerde eingereicht. Sollten wir das geschuldete Geld nicht umgehend zurückerstattet bekommen, werden wir juristische Schritte einleiten. Avoid this company. Have been charged 700 euro over superficial scratch that any handy person could repair in a few minutes. I have seen online in other reviews that this seems to be a regular tactic with other customers experiencing similar. Maybe staff get a bonus for doing this but really not right. Ruined an otherwise great holiday to Italy.

Centauro Palma Airport Mallorca AVOID!!! We were charged for damage we 100% didn't do, hidden under the front of the car, it was impossible to see at pick up (where nobody checks the car with you, you're just sent off to find it with an emailed contract and no staff around to talk to)so we hadn't got photos and couldn't prove otherwise. The agent was fully aware the damage was already there, she went straight to it without even bothering to check the rest of the car, even though it was impssible to see without getting on the floor. If you are unfortunate enough to have a booking with Centaura, take photos all around the underneath of the car before you go anywhere, and don't leave until they have added any damage to the contract. If you get a blue Hyundai 2179NBB make sure this damage has been registered. Luckily I have my own excess insurance as they have charged me €540. I often hire cars in Europe and would recommend Record Go, Sixt and Firefly but will never use Centauro again. We were conned

me han cobrado 140 euros extra por un retraso de solo 10 minutos en la devolución del coche. Durante el día, llamé para avisar que había muchísimo tráfico (tenía 6 horas de carretera) y que quizás llegaría con 30 minutos de retraso. La persona que me atendió me aseguró que en Centauro son personas humanas y que no me cobrarían ningún extra por 30 minutos. Finalmente, llegué con solo 10 minutos de retraso y aun así me cobraron ese importe. Es una auténtica vergüenza. Pienso reportar esta práctica a las asociaciones competentes. I had hired a car for 17 days and arrived at Alicante Airport on the afternoon of 23/06/25. I had paid 459 euros to 'Do you Spain' in advance for this At the Centauro desk I was serviced by a member of staff called JELENA In short, she was incredibly rude from start to finish. She sneered at the 'platinum Excess waiver' I had paid 71.62 euros for through 'Do you Spain' (included in the 459 euros I had paid in advance). I quote, "its not recognised by Centauro". She explained that I should pay an additional 300 euros (!) for additional insurance and then proceeded to, what can only be described as, scaremonger me in explaining all the things that could go wrong and what I would not be covered for. I have had some shocking experiences at Alicante airport with car hire staff but this was an absolute disgrace. She then followed this up with a "why do you think the car hire is so cheap?". Here tone was as if I was a complete idiot and very derogatory. I refused to pay the 300 euros as I hire cars at Alicante airport many times per year, and knew exactly what she was trying to do. I was provided with no paperwork by her when leaving the desk and went to collect my car. As per usual, the parking bay was in virtual darkness making inspection very difficult. On careful inspection (and 10 minutes in making a video which everyone should do) there were clear dents and scratches on the car. However, I had no paperwork to check it was recorded. I checked my emails and nothing had been sent through. I went to the office and they printed out my paperwork. For the record, Centauro failed to send me any paperwork through in the entire 17 days because they (the incredibly rude Jelena) typed my email address incorrectly When I returned the car back to Alicante airport 17 days later, all Centauro did was check the petrol gauge was full. They did not inspect the car at all and did not provide me with any paperwork. I went up to the terminal but then returned back to the car. It occurred to me that because they had not inspected the car and failed to provide any paperwork, 'if' a dent had been found it would have been my word against theirs. It had potential 'scam' written all over it and I was falling for it. On returning to the car I asked them to give me something to prove they had said everything was fine. At this point we checked the email address they had for me and confirmed it was incorrect. I corrected it for them and they assured me an email confirmation would be received. Nothing came through which on reflection is no surprise. The only positives were the quality of the car and fortunately, all the deposits on my credit card have now been refunded. Will NEVER EVER use Centauro and do everything to warn off others. Worst ever experience.

Vorsicht – ziemlich unseriös! Während der Miete lief alles problemlos, und auch bei der Rückgabe wurde uns gesagt, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Ein paar Tage später kam dann völlig überraschend eine Rechnung wegen angeblich fehlendem Sprit im Tank. Ich habe direkt den Kundenservice kontaktiert und Beweise geschickt, dass der Tank bei Abholung und Rückgabe gleich voll war. Das ist jetzt drei Wochen her – und bis heute keine Reaktion. Echt enttäuschend, wie man hier ignoriert wird. Schlechter Kundenservice von Centauro und keine Empfehlung. Vielleicht hilft ja diese Bewertung, damit sich endlich mal jemand meldet.
