Quick service at Geneva airport with Europcar and given the size of car I reserved although tried to give me automatic when Id asked for a manual. Skoda Fabia was a great car for me on mountain roads. Staff helpful and happy to note extra scratch marks on form when I pointed them out. Quick and easy to check car back in although finding P51 car rental parking could be better signposted from the motorway.

Rental experience was very smooth with no hidden extras. When a problem arose at with pick up at Bologna Airport, a call to Carrentals was answered promptly by a very helpful employee who quickly resolved the problem. Very good service indeed

Efficient process from booking to dropping car off

Just had the worst experience ever using this car hire company hired a car for 12 days to be picked up from Lassi in Kefalonia paid in advance booked to be picked up from the office of Hertz/Thrifty at 9.00am got up a bit late that morning the only address for the car hire company was main st office the main street in Lassi is very long and the office was right at the end of the street. We arrived there at 10.04am to be told that our car had been rented to some one else because we were late even though we had paid in advance for it and that there was nothing they were willing to do about it the manager Susan Langdon insisted that the terms and conditions said that if you were 1hr and 1 minute late they could cancel your contract which was a lie it states that it could be cancelled if you were 2 hrs late.She refused to help us and said we should go back to our hotel and ring the company in england to see if they could get us another car. we rang England it took 35 minutes on the phone for them to sort out another car for the next day but we would have to pick it up from the airport . The phone call cost 62 euros and the taxi ride cost 18 euros the cost of the contract being cancelled cost 80 euors and now we are back we have found out that they also took an exrtra 80 euros for a new contract as well as the price of the new car.When we arrived at the airport it was the manager Susan Langdon who was on the desk to hand over the new car. She said it was a Corsa diesil and had a full tank. It turned out to be a Seat Ibiza petrol and a 1/4 of a tank, Dont trust this company I emailed them 3 times while on holiday to get a refund of the extra 240 euors it had cost me and have not received a reply to date I therefore approached Auto Resolve to get my money back. We have travelled all over the world using car hire America, Canada, Australia,Skiathos, Pefcos, never had any trouble think hard before you use this company !

Car rental is still a less then straightforward experience on account of all the apples to oranges price comparison insurance nonsense but its getting easier as a result of the efforts of agencies like carrentals.co.uk
