Uncomfortable coach.
The first coach was a Volvo and very comfortable, but we had to change to another coach, which was made in Turkey. The seats in this Turkish coach were so uncomfortable, very narrow and the seat belt holder dug into my hip. If I ever travel with Caledonian again I will check which coach I would be travelling in. The Ellison hotel in Castle bar was excellent. Very clean, fine bed linen, lovely staff and great food.

Driver friendly even though bus broke down he quickly arranged an alternative so as not to disturb the schedule too much and kept us informed. hotel more than adequate for price we paid.

Very disappointing day
We are very disappointed with our day trip today to Holy Island and Bamburgh. After a 3 hour journey from Middlesbrough to Holy Island we were only 2 hours in Holy Island and 1.5 hours in Bamburgh. We did not have enough time in either location see all of the sights and to enjoy our time there. At both locations we were rushed to get back to the bus. Bamburgh needs at least 2 hours to get to the castle and look around. Caledonian did not specify in their advert that we would have such a short time at each location. The journey back to Middlesbrough was another 3 hours. Everybody on the bus was as disappointed as us.

Disappointing day trip to Holy Island…
Disappointing day trip to Holy Island and Bamburgh castle. After a 3 hour journey each way from Middlesbrough we only had 2 hours in Holy Island island and 1/12 hours in Bamburgh. This was not enough time to see all of the sights. At least 2 hours is needed to look around the castle alone. We have travelled with other coach companies and we have had much longer time in each location . Caledonian travel needs to be more transparent with how much time you will have in each location.. overall a very disappointing day out
