I am appalled by the experience my family and I had with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, a company that exemplifies the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My wife has been dealing with them, and its been nothing short of a nightmare. They included in their rental agreement that they are not responsible if you cannot access the property, fully aware that you won't be able to navigate steep mountain roads in snow and ice. This blatant disregard for guest safety is unacceptable.
We recently rented a house for two nights spending $2400, only to find ourselves stuck and unable to reach the property. The drop-off on one side was so steep that if we had slipped off, I would not be here writing this review. As someone who drives a Chevrolet 2500HD and has experience driving in snowy conditions, it was still impossible to make it up the mountain. We ended up with no place to go but back home, leaving us incredibly disappointed and out of pocket.
Despite my wife reaching out to their customer service, they promised callbacks that never materialized. It's clear that this company is fully aware of the dangerous conditions of the subdivision roads yet continues to rent properties without any concern for the safety of their guests. They make you sign an agreement stating that you won't receive a refund, effectively trapping you in a situation where you are left with nothing but frustration and financial loss.
We refuse to be scammed and will continue to share our experience on every single platform available until we receive a refund. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals is a ripoff, and we strongly advise against using their services. They need to be held accountable for their actions!
