Terrible vehicles

Don't let them give you a silver Opel Astra at Warsaw Airport!! The actual pickup etc went very smoothly. However, when driving out of the car park I noticed the orange engine management light was on. I stopped and told the young lady who handed me the car. She said to ignore the light as it is a factory fault and the car was fine to drive. 10 minutes into the journey I was having real problems getting the car into gear and the clutch was very "sticky". I decided that I would drop my wife and 2 young daughters off at the hotel then go back to swap the car as it really wasn't performing. However, I got to traffic lights, I was in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic. The car began to shake violently. The car would not go into gear and then completely cut out. I tried the engine 3 or 4 times but when it did start I could not force it into gear. Having 2 young kids in the car they became quite scared as we were sitting ducks. We called the emergency number, got out the car and removed all our luggage and waited for help. It took almost 2 hours for the replacement car to arrive with lots of apologies. I have since sent them an email to say how upsetting the whole experience was. However, the reply didn't even contain an apology. They actually told me that there was nothing wrong with the car and they hired it out to another customer. Can you believe that??? I hope the next customer isn't in the fast lane of the motorway when it breaksdown again, they might not be so lucky!! They're playing with lives!!

Nur mit zusätzlicher Versicherung

Das Fahrzeug wurde im April über die Fluggesellschaft gebucht und mit der Kreditkarte bezahlt. Vor Ort mussten wir die Kaution hinterlegen und die Kreditkarte war nur 5 statt wie im Kleingedruckten auf der Seite 3 hingewiesen 6 Monate gültig. Alle anderen Möglichkeiten wurden abgelehnt und uns wurden 560.- Euro für eine Zusatzversicherung aufgezwungen. Nie wurde darauf hingewiesen was eher Täuschung und Geschäftsmodell ist. Man muss auch vor Ort nochmals ein Papier ausfüllen, dieses dient eher für die Provisionbeweis der abgezockten Touristen. Auf dem Zusatzvertrag der Versicherung war bereits alles vorausgefüllt, sie wussten schon das es hier was zu holen gab. Ganz miese masche von der Swiss unterstützten Carunion

Auto Union Greece (Preveza Airport)- would definitely use again. We were told to expect someone waiting with a sign on arrival - we couldn't find him for 10 mins which sent alarm bells ringing, however on calling the office they said to walk across the road and minibus would be waiting for us, which it was. This was the only negative experience we had. The transfer to their office is 1 min away. Our car was ready and waiting , we checked over and completed paperwork and all was fine. Drop off was quick and easy. They had minibus waiting to transfer us back.

Slechtste auto verhuur ooit. Huur hier nooit een auto. De autoverhuur is slecht vindbaar. Bij aankomst hebben we een uur moeten wachten omdat de capaciteit niet op het aantal huurders berekend was. De auto die we meekregen maakte een absurd klapperend geluid dat vanuit de motorruimte kwam. AutoUnion was niet bereid naar ons toe te komen om het probleem op te lossen. In plaats daarvan hebben we een halve dag opgeofferd om terug te gaan naar autoUnion. Het mankement aan het voertuig is goed te verklaren. De verhuurder maakte een testrit waarbij hij de auto zo belachelijk ruig bestuurde dat geen auto het langer dan een jaar zou overleven. Bij het afleveren van de auto was de verhuurder zeer agressief en onbeleefd. Omdat er wat vervuiling door bezoek aan lokale stranden in de auto lag nam hij €50 euro van de borg in beslag. Aan de manier waarop dit kenbaar gemaakt werd blijkt dat dit spelletje vaker gespeeld wordt en dat ze op deze manier extra inkomsten proberen te genereren.

Rental car with autounion North Macedonia Skopje

I’ve rented a car with autounion North Macedonia in Skopje airport in April 2025,the experience was great, the car was quite new and so far clean and modern. People speaks english and are always available on whatsapp. The location is a little bit far from the airport <2km but Autounion organise navette to pick you up/drop at the airport everytime. Important : Don’t hesitate to call them once at the airport to launch the navette, there is nothing written at the airport or outside. To drop back the car and find the exact location they give you a flash code, perfect ! If you are lucky you’ll get one the last futurist electrical car for the navette. Enjoy !! JPS

I rented a car between December 1

I rented a car between December 1, 2024, and January 22, 2025, from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Let me start with the positive side. Because of health reasons, I had to extend my rental many times, and they allowed me to do it without any problems. Now, the negative side. As you may know, some roads and bridges in Turkey require a toll. Cars have a sticker chip that automatically charges these fees. This is where the first problem starts. If you use their system, they take extremely high extra fees for each toll. It is complete robbery! To avoid these extra charges, I used the cash toll booths and paid with my card. About a week or ten days after I returned the car, they sent me an email with an invoice, asking for toll payments. Luckily, I kept all my payment receipts. I sent them proof, called their London office, and emailed their headquarters in Greece, but they never refunded the money they took from my card. In the end, I called my bank and requested a chargeback. Stay away from this company! I know good companies are more expensive, but at least they have proper customer service. If you are coming from abroad, never rent a car from a Turkish company or through a Turkish rental agency. There is a clear scam here. If you rent from an international company, at least you can explain your situation. Luckily, my card was foreign, so the chargeback process was easy. If I had used a Turkish bank card, it would have been another problem. Additionally, they do not have an office at the airport. They ask you to wait outside near pillar number 20. In the cold December weather, I had to wait for about 30-45 minutes. Then, they picked me up in a tiny car (not even a shuttle, just a small B-segment car) like a shared taxi and took me to their office. Stay away! I had rented the car through opodo.co.uk. I also filed a complaint with them, stating that such a fraudulent company should definitely be removed from their platform.

They didn't follow procedure and I was held responsible

This company is a mess. I've had a terrible experience with both AutoUnion Slovenia and the company as a whole. - Prices for damage (even scratches) are outrageous and not declared before the rental period unless you ask. - The damage report was filled in without me while I was on the plane back home. I could not verify whether the claimed damage was actually there. - I was initially charged €350 for something that turned out not to be damage. - I e-mailed customer support about my case, but they aren't answering. Even an acknowledgement is apparently too much to ask. Easiest one star I've ever had the displeasure of dishing out. Avoid this company like the plague.

Esperienza allucinante la riconsegna

Esperienza allucinante per la riconsegna auto. Mai visto una cosa del genere.... Iniziamo: Auto consegnata dal centro di Marrakech già piuttosto ammaccata e graffiata ma vengono fatte lo foto, vengono mostrati i segni ecc. Tutto regolare fin qui, a parte il fatto che l'auto con solo 30K km sembra già da riverniciare. Faccio la polizza assicurativa TOTALE per non avere problemi. Ma alla riconsegna auto (trovare il punto all'aeroporto è già complicato, non hanno un ufficio ma un furgone parcheggiano in mezzo al parcheggio con dentro stampante, pos ecc... e poi dovete chiamare un numero marocchino per far venire qualcuno, se siete in ritardo, perdete l'aereo!), praticamente hanno scansionato l'auto totalmente, ci sono voluti 10', andato a vedere anche sotto l'auto, controllato tutto!! dentro e fuori... e alla fine, vedendo che non c'erano altri danni, mi dice che era polverosa. Beh... era polverosa, si, dopo 7 gg nelle strade del Marocco, ci stà...era anche piovuto. Niente, mi dicono che deve essere lavata, altrimenti sono 10€. Ok, sapendo che mi stava dando il "pacco", per non perdere tempo tiro fuori la carta di credito ma nel frattempo chiama il capo che dice che invece di 10, erano 20€..... a quel punto mi sento preso in giro. Dopo 3' di discussioni al telefono, ok per i 10€. Tornando indietro non rifarei un noleggio con loro, non oso immaginare cosa sarebbe successo se avessi avuto un danno all'auto!! Da evitare!

🚨 Terrible Experience – Hidden Fees & Lack of Transparency 🚨 I recently rented a car in Vienna, and my experience was extremely disappointing. 1️⃣ I had already included Full Damage Waiver (FDW) in my online booking, but at the rental office, I was told it wasn’t included, and I was forced to pay an extra €50 for something I had already paid for. 2️⃣ The total cost was much higher than expected. I initially paid €35.80 online, but upon arrival, I was charged an additional €332.86 – bringing the total to €368.66 for an Opel Corsa for just 4 days! This is an outrageous price for such a small car. 3️⃣ Lack of transparency in invoicing – Despite my request, the rental office only provided an invoice for the in-person payment, refusing to give a full invoice for the total amount. This is completely unprofessional and raises serious concerns about their business practices. Overall, I do NOT recommend this company due to their hidden fees, misleading pricing, and poor customer service. Avoid at all costs! 🚫🚗

Cobraron un cargo por recoger el vehículo 10 minutos tarde

Me cobraron un cargo por recoger el vehículo media hora tarde cuando llegamos unos 10 minutos solo y estuvimos esperando media hora a que atendieran a otro cliente. Trato deprimente, el vehículo todo el rato con olor a ferodo del embrague. Nos retuvieron 1400€ por un vehículo que no debe de estar valorado en mas de 400€. Nada recomendable si hay otras opciones.

Mala experiencia en aeropuerto de Mauricio

Alquilamos en el aeropuerto de Mauricio con Autounión y tanto en la recogida como en la devolución fueron muuy lentos. El chico que nos da el coche y lo revisa no es nada claro y no deja las indicaciones claras y al devolverlo nos estuvo "vacilando"(eramos un grupo de 5 chicas) y nos quería cobrar por daños que realmente ni estaban. Devolvimos el coche con más combustible del que nos lo dieron y no te devuelven ni una rupia. Para llegar al lugar donde devolverlo,no está nada bien indicado.

Una vergüenza el trato dispensado

Para recoger el coche en el mismo aeropuerto de Mauricio, nos tardaron muchisimo y a la hora de devolverlo, no sé si ,porque estaban aburridos o porque eramos mujeres pero nos quisieron hacer pagar daños sufridos por otro clientes. El hombre que revisó el coche ni hacia por entendernos y solo nos decia que teniamos que pagar a pesar de tenerlo a todo riesgo por un rasguño que encontró en ese momento al parecer. Cuando le dijimos que ya estaba y que no lo habiamos hecho nosotras nos dijo que iba a llamar a la Policia y yo le animé a hacerlo porque claramente estaba jugando con los tiempos de los vuelos y ante los nervios puedes llegar a firmar cualquier cosa. Por el contrario, mantuvimos la calma y le dije que llamara a la policia porque nos estaban estafando....ante mi reacción de llamar a la policia de seguido dijo que todo bien. Una vergüenza.

Mala gestión en el aeropuerto de Mauricio. Muchas esperas para que nos entreguen el coche, aunque no habia nadie. El hombre que nos atendió quetia cobrar arañazos del coche que se quitaban mojando un poco.... Lo teníamos a todo riesgo. Y lo devolvimos perfectamente pero intentan meterte daños inexistentes. Desesperante.... Sensación de que nos estaban vacilando...
