I rented a car between December 1

I rented a car between December 1, 2024, and January 22, 2025, from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Let me start with the positive side. Because of health reasons, I had to extend my rental many times, and they allowed me to do it without any problems. Now, the negative side. As you may know, some roads and bridges in Turkey require a toll. Cars have a sticker chip that automatically charges these fees. This is where the first problem starts. If you use their system, they take extremely high extra fees for each toll. It is complete robbery! To avoid these extra charges, I used the cash toll booths and paid with my card. About a week or ten days after I returned the car, they sent me an email with an invoice, asking for toll payments. Luckily, I kept all my payment receipts. I sent them proof, called their London office, and emailed their headquarters in Greece, but they never refunded the money they took from my card. In the end, I called my bank and requested a chargeback. Stay away from this company! I know good companies are more expensive, but at least they have proper customer service. If you are coming from abroad, never rent a car from a Turkish company or through a Turkish rental agency. There is a clear scam here. If you rent from an international company, at least you can explain your situation. Luckily, my card was foreign, so the chargeback process was easy. If I had used a Turkish bank card, it would have been another problem. Additionally, they do not have an office at the airport. They ask you to wait outside near pillar number 20. In the cold December weather, I had to wait for about 30-45 minutes. Then, they picked me up in a tiny car (not even a shuttle, just a small B-segment car) like a shared taxi and took me to their office. Stay away! I had rented the car through opodo.co.uk. I also filed a complaint with them, stating that such a fraudulent company should definitely be removed from their platform.

not a good experience, things became harder

I have been working on this platform since September 2023. I have invoice has not been paid yet, company went to liqudiation. Without exception, every month, at least 3 invoices are paid late. If you ask them about it, they will say that payment is not our concern. Yet, instead of making excuses, they could come up with ideas to prevent this.Payments are very low. Even if it's your last chance, don't join. It's a very expensive job and equally risky. Haulage companies you work with are mostly ignorant people. Stay away. On this platform, quantity matters, not quality. There are indeed companies that do their job properly, with payments never delayed. But they are very few. The app is extremely expensive. If you are not ignorant, stay away from these tough life. Update ====== I can’t continue doing this job any longer, so I quit. I had paid my fee until September; of course, according to the terms and conditions, a refund isn’t possible. I wasn’t surprised at all. Please, nothing is as it was described. The money taken for cargo transport is very low; some months you have to go to the service twice. For car maintenance and expenses, it will cost at least £3.5k, insurance is £1.5–2k, the program is £1.7k, the car payment is about £3.5k, and when you add tax and fuel, the annual cost is £20k–25k. You’re expected to go from London to Glasgow ASAP for £150–170, but you can’t even do co-load—it’s a joke. If it’s possible to get in touch with me from here, please do. I’ve been doing this job for nearly two years and I have 100% feedback. It doesn’t matter at all. The working conditions here are no different from those in a third-world country. This is serious exploitation. I’m going to make a video about it and share it online. Please stay away. They’ve introduced a new payment system: if you want your invoice paid within 60 minutes after the job is done, on a £250 invoice they pay £210. They deduct £40, which I think amounts to about -16% monthly interest. Not only do they make us work for peanuts, but they also engage in usury. Believe me, it’s not worth it. I guess I can’t share my email, but I’ll make a video and share it. We can’t do anything about this exploitative system. These are legal mafias. The only thing we can do is protest by staying away. Actually, I’m not blaming CX or anything. In the end, CX provides the platform. The issue lies with the companies posting the jobs. One day, I’m waiting for jobs in Aberdeen, and for every job notifications I get, I offer between 55–60 pence per mile to be able to go. Speedy Freight Aberdeen is constantly posting jobs. Of course, I also offer the cheapest possible rates according to my situation, but always not accepted. Aberdeen is a ridiculous place. In the end, Speedy Freight Aberdeen posted another job from Aberdeen to Edinburgh. I offered £65 for a 128-mile journey because none of the offers I make are accepted; you’re forced to give low rates as well and it was accepted. I took the documents from the customer. Speedy Freight Aberdeen had charged customer £225+VAT for the job. For 128 miles, you'll consume 14 liters of diesel, which is about £20. That leaves you with £45. If we consider the wear and tear on the van as £10, that leaves £35. You’ll be driving for at least 3 hours, and once you get there, you’ll be waiting for another job. The documents I received from the customer are still here. The confirmation email and the money deposited into my bank account are also here; I’ll definitely add them to the video. Do you think it’s worth it? Think again.
