Quality furniture at a reasonable price...

I gotten quite a few items from here and was always satisfied...The men are a very helpful upon entering the warehouse. The prices are very reasonable. I have a livingroom set, dressers and 2 beds from here. I gave them 4 stars because I don't like how they show u a particular color of furniture etc in their sales paper but when u get to the store, they don't have that color in stock of furniture u were looking for. I hope the higher ups read this and reassess this issue. It's kinda like false advertisement. Other than that...I like this establishment and will continue to shop here.

We bought a sofa and loveseat in late…

We bought a sofa and loveseat in late January. We started calling about the sinking cushions after the first couple of weeks. They told us to put an email to the manufacturer. Their solution was to send a box of “stuffing” to the store (where we had to pick it up!) The zipper opening is very small and in the back and the cushions do not come off. We did our best to restuff the furniture (that should have been stuffed properly in the beginning) and yet it still sinks. We have a couch we cannot lay on and furniture we have to sit on top of pillows. The material is already ripping and fraying. This is the worse furniture I have ever bought and we have bought several items from their sister store Value City without any issues! 09-10-19 - as you will see in the answer below, American Freight states that we should call and we will be transferred to the Vice President of the store we bought from. We have called several times only to be transferred to “Tom” who does not return your call. We were not asked any questions, just immediately transferred to Tom. So much for rectifying the problem!

Worse furniture ever

Worse furniture ever. It started falling apart within the first week. Springs sagging and not one of the cushions have the same amount of filling. They aren't even cushions, the are a cheap poly fill. Filed a claim months ago. Still haven't heard anything. Needless to say I put a stop on all moneys coming out of my account

Furniture fell apart

I've purchased a mattress and box spring set and a sectional a year ago. I live alone and I'm the only person that sleeps in my bed one night I was asleep and I heard a cracking sound I jumped up the wood in my box spring caved in! Two months after purchasing a sectional a board broke inside! I weigh 150 pounds I don't jump into my bed or plop down on the couch. My sister told me that her box spring fell apart too after 3 months. I work hard to buy things and for the first time in 20 years I've ever had furniture just fall apart. Now I have to buy a new box spring and sofa from somewhere else. What a waste.

Lies and More Lies

I purchased a sectional for $799 on 7/5 and was told it would be delivered on 7/15. No couch, no call. I called and was told the truck was delayed give them until 7/26-31. Called 8/1 and was told it was delayed give them until 8/13. I told them I wanted a refund and was told since I paid cash I had to wait 2-3 weeks for a check from corporate. So 2 stores got together to do d the 2 sides to our sectional. Finally on 8/4 they deliver our couch at 640pm on Sunday. The driver says I have to sign before they can unload, it's in a personal pickup because the box truck is in the shop. The couch is thrown in. The left side of the couch is half wrapped. They get it in, say all sales are final and leave before we can unwrap it. The left side has a tear. The right side has no legs, a corner is damaged, its 3 inches lower, and has no connector bracket. Corporate office only has email for customer service and the stire won't take my calls.

Bait and Switch Con Artists

Please watch the fine print. I drove about 30 miles to buy a mattress that was advertised in their print flyer. When I got to the store, I was told that the mattress was double the advertised price because I wanted to buy the mattress only. I showed the sales guy the add, and he showed me the asterisk. I asked him to show me the associated fine print, and he could not find it! I told him that the store may not be doing anything illegal, but that kind of practice is certainly unethical. So, please be aware.

Wonderful customer service at it's finest

I live in Syracuse NY and the store on Erie Blvd is where I bought my bed frame from. So some damage happened on the wood so I called a while back and went though the warranty process in April but nothing happened but I checked on it today (August 2nd 2019) and store manager Chris really went above and beyond to help me. Much appreciated and spectacular customer service. 5 stars cause this guy really made my day by correcting my warranty issue. Don't lose this guy cause it's hard to find people like him. Thanks again Chris!

I paid off my item..and I keep getting…

I paid off my item..and I keep getting the run around. Bout delivery it to me.and get an attitude also . No way to run a damn business really. I'm angery as ever. Still no swival chair..I'm livid. Want my money back. Big time .this is wrong to do to people.shady business. I'm over them..I will never go through them again.ive done nothing wrong.im so frustrated there no words that can express how livid I am .want my money back ..I'm done .Andrea Lord from portage mi .do not go get stuff from them. Scam artists

I would not suggest going here at all, I bought furniture from them back in 2015 they asked if I wanted the warranty and of course I said yes because they said it covered everything you could think of, so why not. after a few months my couches started to break down and my coffee table started to look like crap. So I called the store asking what I needed to do. They said ( the GM at the time I believe his name was Tim ) send him an email with pictures as I did, 2 months later no word back, I then spoke to Carlos another manager there. After another month of calls they finally broke down and gave me an in store credit because claims wasnt answering them. Mind you I had even called the District at the time as well. a couple years past I was in a very bad place and couldnt claim my credit, because they wanted 75 dollars to deliver it which I didnt have. when I finally went in for it, they had nothing on my file at all and made me resend in my claim to someone else. I did so and low and behold I WAS DENIED BECAUSE IT WAS PAST THE 30 DAYS they claim I was suppose to report it, I told them I did report it and told them the whole story and still it was a NO!!! So people I am telling you its a SCAM to get extra money out of your pockets, I was told I could file when ever as well do not trust them and do not get the warranty because the furniture will break down in 4 months or less anyways. So not worth it at all to buy from there

Customer service ok, follow up bad.

They sold me furniture and said they would come and put my furniture together eventho the contract says they are not obligated...but he said he would put my bed together. So 1week turned into 4weeks.....4 weeks turned into 8weeks...so finally they sent me someone that came and didn't know what he was doing and put my bed together wrong. It was bad. They promised again they would come and make it right, they kept saying they would come and never showed up again....I ended up going to store mad as hell, Picking Up A Worker in my own car, bringing him to my house and he couldn't put the bed together either, it was too much, the previous guy screwed up so bad it couldn't be fixed. He put a bedframe up for me and that was cool. You can't get a refund, so they agreed to replace my bed. Ok. How long would that take? I didn't have the energy or time to go back and forth with these people again for 2 more months... I refused. I will NEVER go back to do business with American Freight Furniture again.
