this CU is the WORST they bought my loan and i literally spent two hours and three different reps to try to pay the mortgage. None of them know WTF they were doing... Still have yet to figure out how to pay the mortgage... I'm sure they will charge a late fee for their incompetence. BLOWS my mind after hours of answering security questions they wont take a payment.

Alliant Credit Union apple app is very slow few second to minute forever to open.

Terrible. My loan got sold to them, absolutely terrible customer service. Can’t even get ahold of someone to help me with a payoff.

I rolled an annuity over 10/2022 with Alliant. They kept it in some sort of savings investment instead of the annuity for 6 months. Now, the IRS has come after me for withdrawing it. I am having to withdraw it now to pay the huge amount. If I could give them -100 I would. I notified Alliant of their mistake that led to this. They offered no help. I am out my retirement because of their mistake.

I believe they are the primary lender for Camping World. Which from my experience should have told me a lot about them. They will bend over backwards to get you into the loan, including falsifying information. Once approved, it gets real interesting really quickly. If you’re not the primary on the loan, it’s harder to make a payment because they make it nearly impossible to create an online amount to make a payment. We’ve yet to in nearly 15 months. They also are so stuck on making PAYMENTS that one mistake and they won’t take your payment. Furthermore if the primary on your loan has a credit score of nearly 800, you’re still facing an interest rate of 12%. This is an NCUA backed scam ran out of Chicago. Makes perfect sense!

I had a great experience with Charles and Amy at Alliant. They were extremely helpful throughout the process and always available if I had questions or needed help. I would highly recommend them to use when financing a home!

I’ve been with Alliant for over four years and use it for checking, savings, and a personal loan. The mobile app is user-friendly and puts all my finances at my fingertips. I appreciate the no ATM or overdraft fees, and the interest on savings is much better than what I’ve seen at big banks. If you’re looking for a strong online option with great rates and low fees, Alliant’s worth a look.

I use Alliant Credit Union for all my banking needs. I've been a member since 2006, and they're really great to work with. I have my mortgage, HELOC, credit cards, Checking and Savings with them and I love what they offer. Do they have all the bells and whistles like Chase? No, but what they do offer members, they excel in service, rate, and price.

I had a 1 year CD with ALLIANT. The initial full amount funds were transferred via an ACH from my bank to ALLIANT CREDIT UNION. (Funds from a sale of property) Once the CD matured. I was informed that I can only transfer funds back to my original financial institution incrementally. I would need to transfer the entire amount via ACH over a few weeks. A daily transfer option was not display on the transfer money screen. Weekly was the earliest option. I've never encountered that policy with any other on line bank. Full funds could be transferred seamlessly through ACH. A not secure and costly wire transfer was an option. Fed Ex was a costly option as well , but other posters have indicated that they had problems with double billing but still received check by mail. I closed my account and requested a check be mailed to me (10-14 business days).

I found this CU online as one of the Top 3, but after using it for 3 years, I found there are NO REAL PEOPLE! I have tried numerous times to contact a real person but to NO Avail. Shame, great interest rates, but trying to do business is difficult with no one to talk to for guidance and counseling, it is all digital with no interpersonal discussions. Will definitely refine my dealing.

Not sure why but they wouldnt let me open an account. For that reason i can only give 1 star.

I have banked there for many years with no complaints BUT when I was applying for a loan, the site is clunky, access to the online application was awkward, I uploaded tge same documents multiple times, and the supposed loan rep just kept asking for random items after I emailed her directly. The process took one week and we almost lost the car we were buying because I had no idea that business could be done this slowly. The rates are good but the process is inconvenient and slow.

I redeemed Alliant credit card cashback rewards into my checking account which I never received. I phoned them up 3 times over 2 weeks but they could not provide an answer other than it was being looked into. It is concerning to see a financial transaction like this go “missing” and for them not to provide an answer. They have lost my trust and I am banking elsewhere now and well as reporting them to the BBB. Buyer beware!

The customer service is horrendous. I tried to use my debit card to take out money from ATM machine during a trip and my card was declined. Tried other ATM machines and again got declined. I really needed cash that day. I called the bank and after being on hold for 49 minutes I just gave up. I wrote a message on the mobile phone and haven't got any response. I am switching to another bank.

I have been a member of Alliant Credit Union for over 37 years. I received a letter from Alliant Credit Union instructing me to call in since I had not used my credit card for some time, or it would not be renewed once it expired. So I called them the following morning, and it was a nightmare. I was transferred five times, had to get reverified four times, and in the end, nothing was resolved. The last two individuals I spoke with were rude and disrespectful and couldn't answer well. All I wanted was to keep the card open. After an hour, nothing was resolved. I have decided to close my accounts and transfer all my funds to a company that respects my business.

My mother's account has been compromised not once, not twice, but three times in the past two years. Although the first two times the money was returned promptly, they are dragging their feet on this third one. The compromise comes from an ACH account and the transaction is done without dual authentication which has been turned on since 2022. Sending a message to get some more information as to why this keeps happening is met with silence. They state they will reply in 1 to 2 business days but we're on day 5 and two messages with no response. Sorry, this is unacceptable.

I been a member since 1969 and have always appreciated the higher savings interest rates.
