I had a 1 year CD with ALLIANT CREDIT UNION

I had a 1 year CD with ALLIANT. The initial full amount funds were transferred via an ACH from my bank to ALLIANT CREDIT UNION. (Funds from a sale of property) Once the CD matured. I was informed that I can only transfer funds back to my original financial institution incrementally. I would need to transfer the entire amount via ACH over a few weeks. A daily transfer option was not display on the transfer money screen. Weekly was the earliest option. I've never encountered that policy with any other on line bank. Full funds could be transferred seamlessly through ACH. A not secure and costly wire transfer was an option. Fed Ex was a costly option as well , but other posters have indicated that they had problems with double billing but still received check by mail. I closed my account and requested a check be mailed to me (10-14 business days).

ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have the 12 month /5G plan. This suits my needs for calls and data. I'm generally fine with the service. However, after T-Mobile bought the company (1.3 billion deal), the customer service has been notorioulsy bad. I purchased a 3 day international calling plan while in the UK in January 2025 The service connection never worked. I verified with Apple (at store) that all my iPhone parameters were set correctly. When i spoke to the "top notch Care team" at Mintmobile, he told me to delete my network. That will reset my phone. Dumb advice, the would delete ALL my settings as well. Another CSR told me "I'm sorry sir, but we see that your phone is "locked". You must go to the store and have it unlocked. My phone is not nor has it ever been locked. Those conversations were over the "chat" option. Each time, the connection was dropped. The conversation text, i wanted to record, disappeared. I finally requested and received a full refund of the 3 day international calling plan I purchased. If a company (T-Mobile) is going to ship their customer service groups overseas, then verify that the employees are proficient in dealing with paying customers phone issues. Do not make things up. Do not drop the call/chat. Do not suggest damaging resolutions.
