Coach to Tamworth had to changd coach 3 times not sure if this a regular accuracebut its annoying
Coming home straight to Tamworth but had to wait for a coach to pull in with 4 passengers on board Felt sorty fof the driver as he was getging grief from passengers waiting to get home But there had been a accident on the motoway so the delay couldn't be
helped . Surely there must be a better way for logistics instead of changing at Tamworth and waiting and waiting and waiting
From pickup to drop off home, everything was taken care of, all I had to do was turn up. The Hotel was lovely, food was good with plenty of choice and all meals were waiter service too. I had a single room which was quite spacious and there was no single supplement😊. The only negative was the shower didn't have a thermostat and was difficult to keep to one temperature but it wouldn't stop me from booking again. This was my first time with Alfa and won't be the last, the service by all staff at the hotel and the drivers was first class.
This was our first holiday with Alfa and we really enjoyed it. We liked the hotel and the journey there was easy and without any problem. The hotel was nice and was clean. We thought our bed was a bit rickety and could do with some attention. There were two members of staff that really stood out, one in the dining room and Steve behind the bar was customer focussed and nothing was too much trouble for him. Rochelle in the dining room looked after us really well and both these people are a credit to the hotel. Unfortunately things started to unravel on the journey home where we had a prolonged wait at Tamworth because one of the connecting coaches had been delayed. However, our onward driver who was put under unnecessary pressure by a minority of customers, did everything right and although we didn’t get home until quite late we thoroughly enjoyed our time away. So much so that we have booked another holiday with you later in the year.
Been on a LOT of coach holidays with various companies,this was our first time with Alfa.Must say we had a great time.....good driver,better than usual hotel with good food,decently-priced drinks,nightly entertainment,and excellent service,be it in the bar,restaurant or Reception.
Very good excursions,so all in all a most enjoyable experience;we'll definitely be using Alfa again.👍👍👍👍
We were looking for a short break and decided on coach trip with Alfa. We had the best time and everything was perfect. We are already booked planning to travel with Alfa again for new years…
Travel was straightforward. Easy changeover.
Hotel was nice but in need of decorating.Wallpaper peeling off and damp patches on ceiling. Severe condensation on windows.
Entertainment was a bit hit and miss. On the Wednesday the singer was absolutely awful. Could not sing or play the guitar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food portions were very small.
More thought needs to be put into the excursions. Being taken to a town just to look round shops is not my idea of a trip out.
Luggage handling is well planned, included excursions are good, all staff and drivers that I have met have gone the extra mile. Hotels/food good value.
Returned last night from a 5 day break to Eastbourne & Brighton. Our driver, Jim, was extremely personable and knew the area well. Hotel (we booked sea view which was well worth it), the staff were great and the food both breakfast and evenings was very good with plenty of choice. One of the best package coach holidays I have ever been on, absolutely no complaints at all, Jim made sure we all had a good time and were well looked after.

Entertainment good but a little more variety would have been a good idea. Maybe another comedian or a magician.

Just come back from Eastbourne and what a fantastic holiday I did have..the journey down was long due to heavy traffic but our driver Russell made it as he was so funny 😁...the hotel is very grand from the outside and even better when you walk in ..and the staff can't do enough for you which was definitely nice to see ...the trips out was good enjoyed hasting and I have to say the driver was so informative of the area it was very interesting to listen to ...this is my second time at the queen's Hotel and I myself am a solo passenger have had a wonderful week so thankyou alfa and not forgetting the driver on his experience of knowing the area well done Russell....so to end this I will be going back and yes I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel 5 ⭐️
Just got back from a 5 day break in Bournemouth. Our coach from Sheffield arrived bang on time. The driver’s name was Dominic, he was very helpful with luggage and really friendly. When we got to Woodall services the change over to feeder coaches was well organised, I was pleased that Dominic was our driver to Bournemouth.. a great journey with 2 stop offs for refreshments…Stayed at the Norfolk Royale Hotel. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the lovely beach and promenade.. had to pay a charge of £1.65ea just to walk on the pier and there was nothing to see on there only a cafe & a bar on the end…The hotel itself is very nice… our bedroom was a Superior twin room on the first floor which was fantastic. Very large room. Walk on balcony, sunken bath & shower cubicle & toilet. The facilities in the room was very good.. kettle, fridge, hairdryer, iron/ ironing board, fan plenty of towels & teas coffees biscuits & water..the lounge area was lovely. Plenty of seating.. nice little bar, decent prices. The dining room is clean & bright. Waiter service. All the staff are very friendly and polite. The food was a bit disappointing, not very hot & sometimes dried up & tasteless. Not much to choose from at breakfast,ie cereals,no bread,no pastries etc…Entertainment room was in much need of a refurb. It was run down, cold & damp.. the “draught beer pumps” were broke so I had to keep going upstairs to lounge bar for a lager,,😡 the entertainment was a singer on each night which were good.. On Tuesday night there was a “Drag Queen” on called Daisy and it was a brilliant night… he was fabulous…had us all in stitches 🙌 also played bingo, play your cards right, & quiz…during our stay we went on 2 day trips & visited 4 places which were really good. Again our driver Dominic was superb & made sure everyone had a great day.. overall had a great holiday and met some lovely people… will definitely travel with Alfa holidays again in the future and I hope our Driver is “Dominic”, whom went above and beyond to make our holiday enjoyable… well done to all the Alfa team from Denise Swift & Joan Sellars ( mother & Daughter) 👍👍👍👍👍
