Be very careful with this company, wanted to check when my MOT was due, somehow managed to get onto this site. I now find that they are taking £7.95 a month out of my account. This is definitely scam country.
very easy to complete
If I could give them ZERO stars - I would! I'm another deceived person to add to the queue of people here. We clicked on what we thought was a link to tax a car and then got this sh*t! Very deceitful way of marketing themselves as a government website for car tax. Got charged £7.95 for some BS subscription. They would not budge and stated their system is very clearly....very clearly meant to deceive more like! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

My husband tried to tax his car online on 29th September and has been charged 7.95 per month, till we noticed on 22nd November. He rang this company and they've cancelled the account we didn't know we had and gave us an insulting 7.95 refund. They took 34.35 in total. Absolute daylight robbery. Shocking

I unknowlingly signed up for Car Check service and have been paying £7.95 per month since March. Went to pay the car tax and unknowingly have somehow clicked onto the £7.95 per month car check charge which I don’t need. How can money been taken off my account without my approval. This got me really worried as its a government website we are supposed to trust.. Can someone please get in touch with me in regards to this. Thanks

DVLA should Disassociate themselves with ‘Vehicleinformation.uk’. But I don’t know which is worse ! I bought an electric car based on all the Planet Saving information the UK government was dishing out over the past 3-4 years, and of course the incentive of exemption from Vehicle Road Tax ! But then I received a V11 vehicle road Tax reminder from DVLA telling me that I had to fill in the tax form online, even though it was Zero cost, so I went on their website to do so and after filling in all the personal information, including Bank Details, I thought that was it, (until the new EV road tax rules come into force in April 2025 !) But then I noticed that one strange payment was taken from my bank account of 50p and then another for £7.50 per month ! I did some checking and found out it was taken by this company, briefly mentioned on the DVLA website, which I had unknowingly been signed up for and had absolutely no intention of signing up to ! (Vehicleinformation.uk) I have seen many complaints online about this deceiving trick and the response from the company is basically… ‘well it’s easy to cancel your subscription’ which is not, for anyone not used to Internet stuff ! You have to go through the website pages to find the Cancel option, and by the way, they’ve already got your payment ! I can’t understand the people online who are reacting to the complaints and basically saying “it’s your own fault if you sign up” (Wrong ! ) Companies should ‘not’ take advantage of vulnerable people, or people who are ‘online novices’ My advice- Watch out if and when you have to fill in any forms on the DVLA website ! even if your a ‘Small-print’ reader !
