Good reliable service. Haven’t had any service calls yet but I expect it will be just as professional and pleasant.

Stay away / save yourself the headache

* They did fix the issues of the internet failing every time the wind blew ** Constantly had to call to get internet speed fixed *** They are not open on the weekends; meaning if you have issues, wait til Monday (despite them charging more than other providers) *** They changed their billing to include "rental equipment" to increase the overall cost per a month (while enjoying your non-granular data from the router they're renting you; unsure if they sell this data...most likely do) **** When you try to cancel, they put road blocks in the way; (1) You can only cancel via the "cancellation department" (2) this department has only one guy running it (3) If you try and submit a written request to cancel, via their website...they will not honor it (4) if you're unable to get in contact with the cancellation department, prior to the next billing cycle...they will not prorate...meaning they will charge you for a full month. Get yourself better provider; this company has poor ethics and will try to nickel and dime you.

Horrible Experience with Wisper ISP

Horrible Experience with Wisper ISP I have been throughly disgusted with Wisper from start to finish. My experience with their customer service has been nothing short of frustr. I went a full two months without internet because they couldn't get a technician to my area, which severely impacted my work since I rely on the internet for my corporate job. Despite this, I was still forced to pay the full amount for two months with zero service. As if that was not bad enough, which I finally canceled my service, they had the audacity to tell me I owed them for a router that I do not have. I received a voicemail stating that I would be charged for this router because the technician "didn't have it," and therfore, they assumed it is still in my possession. I clearly explained to Carol from Whisper ISP that I watched the technician take the router to his vehicle and put it in the front seat, but she insisted that this couldn't have happened and that the router was still at my home. Now, I'm stuck with a bill for something I don't even have. It's beyond frustrating to be blamed for their inventory mistake. I have zero trust in Wisper ISP, and I will never use their service again. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially considering how poorly they handle customer service and issues like this. Absolutely terrible experience! Update: After I posted my experience through multiple review companies I got a call back. Not from a manager but they did want to take care of the situation. Funny how I got ahold of the BBB and posted to multiple review companies then I was called back in a panic and apologized to for causing an issue. Still would never recommend this company to anyone.

All I can say is TERRIBLE

All I can say is TERRIBLE. We have SPOTTY internet at best with Whisper. We were out 2 days completely without it, and throughout the month of February, we would have it maybe working 40% of the time. We called and complained and asked how to fix it. We were told that everything was running fine. We have new equipment from Whisper. STILL IS RUNNING HORRIBLY. We didn't have internet again this morning. They were so nice to give LESS THAN $2 off our next bill! I cannot wait for the local internet to come our way, because we will drop Whisper the second the new company comes our way, along with many other people in our neighborhood. There will also be a party to go along with dropping Whisper and their terrible support. Thankfully the weather is breaking soon and we won't need it to stream tv, but work is a blast right now... Thanks Whisper, for providing terrible internet. You guys are terrible.

Day 3 with no email

This is day 3 with NO EMAIL. Here's an excerpt from Wisper's self-description on this site: "...our creative rockstar team is known for problem-solving and entirely spot-on customer service." Yeah. I suggest editing "spot-on" to "spotty" and "rockstar" to "rocky". Delete all references to "solving" and "service".

The service itself wasn't bad

The service itself wasn't bad. Our issue is how rude customer service has been over the phone. All of the equipment has been sent back and has been verified they received it. Found out they are sending us to collections because " they didn't get the equipment fast enough." We left the state! We were in the middle of moving. I flew back to Missouri just to get the stuff sent back to them. I requested a call from a manager. It's been 30 days. No call.

I have been with whisper for several years and at first the service was ok. I was able to stream movies etc.. Can only run one tv and still buffers. I just dealt with it freezing up about 10 times during a 30 min mini series and sometimes it just would not load. I called tech support a few weeks ago and after further reviewing the tech said he found the problem. Said they had made a mistake and put to many on the tower ? Not happy with this service and will be looking for alternatives.

Terrible service

I live in a middle of a neighborhood in Carl Junction by a reasonable sized city Joplin. I can’t even play on my console while people are watching tv at the same time. Either I lag out or the wifi on the tv shuts off. We’ve called multiple times, they say seem not to be any help, better off just switching at this point.

I switched from Cable America to Wisper…

I switched from Cable America to Wisper because of the down time I would constantly get with Cable America. (Sometimes up to 3 months). I couldn't be happier with Wisper. When I signed up, they said I could get the 400MB/S speed package. But when the installer arrived, he said the max I could get at my location was 100. I was fine with that and appreciated his honesty. I didn't even have to ask to make sure I was only being charged for the lower 100 speed package, he did it without even being asked. I've only had one service call in over 7 months and it was due to a bad windstorm knocking the dish out of alignment. They came out within a day or two and fixed it. Workers are always very polite as well. The other day they sent me a message saying they would be stopping by and upgrading my system for free. They showed up exactly when they said they would and upgraded the dish and electronics. I can now get up to the 400 speeds! What I love about Wisper is their honesty and reliability. Something I never had with Cable America. Cable America would no show on appointments and would take 3 weeks to come out (If they even showed). I was a little hesitant at first because weather can sometimes effect internet usage when you get it from a tower and not cable or fiber, but I haven't had any issues even in severe weather. I've had multiple internet providers in different locations throughout the years, including Cable America, AT&T, Wave, Fidelity and CenturyLink. Wisper has been the best out of all of them! If you want an internet provider that cares about their customers, is reliable, honest and easy to work with, I suggest you give Wisper a call!

We have been without our internet starting on week 3. All we get are promises and bull crap. They won't even take our calls anymore. Can someone either tell us how much longer or fix the service.

Started service in September with…

Started service in September with Wisper Max up to 400mbps. Never worked well. Never achieved even a fraction of the speed potential. Even when it worked speed tests never broke 40 mbps. We were paying $123 a month. Initial call in May to cancel was easy. I was told they would be coming to pick up the equipment. Received a phone call for a time and date. Had the equipment ready to go. No one arrived or they did not notify us when they did. Received a label via email in June for returning equipment without any shipping materials. This was odd since I was told they would be picking up equipment. I have been traveling extensively for work so it slipped my mind to call them. Recieved an invoice in July for the equipment, and at the same time they escalated collections in July. Does that make sense to anyone? Never a phone a call. No Communication. Just two emails in the span of 4 weeks. Shady as hell. How they handled this cancellation was totally unprofessional. Now they are trying to force me to pay $427 after 4 weeks for equipment I do not need or want. Highly recommend you avoid them

I disconnected our service after being…

I disconnected our service after being a loyal customer for 3 years. I was told to mail back the modem, I never recieved a shipping label sent to my address. I told the lady on the phone I could not print one off my email. She ensured me I would receive one in the mail. I still have to modem and they will not allow me to return the item since my allotted time frame is up. I was told if I now mail it to the billing address they will mail it back to me and I now owe for the item. This is going against my credit. I’m very angry with this process.

Unbelievably Bad

It is honestly impressive how inconsistent this isp is. It will be "fine" for a couple weeks delivering somewhat consistent 4mbps (half the 1mBps I use to pay form, more on that later), then suddenly it's a struggle to keep the internet on for another week or two for seemingly no reason, having to call Wisper directly to have them do something on their end to allow it to function at all. Recently they increased their prices despite us being grandfathered into our old plan. The price went from $50 to about $80 for their cheapest plan. Believe it or not, the connection has been worse since they did this. I have screen shots that I showed my friends where a 15GB download was estimated to take 3 months+ to complete. My family that lives on the same block as me, also have Wisper, there's 3 separate plans between us all. At any given moment, at least one of our internet is down. I also know that the many people near us that have no other services to choose from have the same problems. I am the "tech person" of the family, so I am constantly having to deal with this absolute headache. Also if there's any weather activity in the sky, the internet almost instantly goes out. It sounds exaggerated but it happens. Wisper is borderline unusable and I would suggest buying dial up if that is available to you.

Don't fall for this line of BS

Don't fall for this line of BS. I had a technician come out and tell me the reason why I had intermittent signal is because of trees blocking the signal from our city's water tower to my house. Our city's water tower is over 130 ft high and only a mile away. That would mean that every tree that's in the way is over 130 ft tall for over a mile. How stupid do these technicians think we are. I've been asking for technicians to come out and I keep getting told they are unable to confirm an appointment for me. This is what happens when you have a satellite company that doesn't have a 24-hour service and closes at 6:00 p.m. every night.

Element wireless was 10x better

Element wireless was 10x better rarely any outages and if so only lasted about an hour unlike wisper which takes days to fix and to top it off the service is way slower even though they have "better" plans with "higher speeds" that also cost much more! wisper can't hold a candle to the service provided by Element wireless

What's that smell? It's trash internet!

This is by far the worst internet we've ever had. Most expensive internet and the customer service is a huge JOKE. We pay $160 a month for crap internet. It took them over a month to do the install. We've complained about how slow the Internet is but they claim they're having issues sending someone out. It's been MONTHS. The lady last week told us we needed to pay by Friday (it's Tuesday) and they shut it off! The customer service people are snarky and rude. I can't wait to not use them anymore. Complete trash

Just got off the phone with customer…

Just got off the phone with customer service after 48 minutes, I’ve had this over priced service for a few years and it has not worked more often than It has worked! A million excuses and never have they compensated for the time it doesn’t work. They replaced this and upgraded that but for the last two weeks I’ve paid for nothing and they don’t care. After the millions of government money it’s the absolute worst $108 per month I’ve ever experienced. They know every minute that every customer is without service and they don’t care but keep taking the money! If the wind blows or it drizzles, or I fart within a mile from the equipment it fails. But they never fall to extract the payment and smile with all the federal funding that we already paid for! I’ll bet everything I own that Biden owns stock in this company and if I cancel the service then they have gotten away with the most part time service and they know it but don’t even care! They have my contact information and they could call and maybe even give credit for all the time that they know my internet wasn’t working but they are government funded to screw as many people as possible and they will sell it to the next idiot and move on! This is the politics of BS I’m available for any company rep to call at any time 417/499/4539 you already have my number and you know exactly when it doesn’t work and the few days that it does! Come get your stuff ! I’ve had enough and I’ll find anything else available!
