I really enjoy ordering wine from Wine Spies. In general, the wine selections are very high quality and the deals are great! I also like the wine locker option so that one can ship their orders when convenient and also just by a couple of bottles of something and build a case. Shipping in cardboard instead of Styrofoam is also a plus because it can be recycled. I do wish they would have more old world European selections, especially dry Alsatian Rieslings. There are too many overpriced Napa cabs for my personal tastes. Once in a while, WS will pitch a wine as a great deal when one can actually find it at the same price or less. They often give the retail price as sold from the winery, but that is often a very high price and not a "real" price. I usually google the wines for pricing and other reviews and am sometimes annoyed that it can be found cheaper elsewhere. I expect WS to offer the best pricing which it usually does, but not always.

An unforeseen technology gremlin played havoc on a recent shipment from my locker. Went to the wrong address... contacted Agent Malbec and in less than 24 hours the problem was resolved and all of the locker curated wines were reshipped. Great service from a great team. Thanks and we will continue to be a loyal operative.
I have nothing bad to say aboutWine Spies. I feel prices are fair and the service quality is great. Been ordering from them since 2011, never an issue. My last order was short, one bottle from my lockers and they expressed that one bottle refrigerated in a 2 day. The only issue I have is one my locker is ready to ship, they sometimes forget to send shipping information but I email and they get right back with me. 😀🍷
I have been a client of Wine Spies since 2011 and have purchased hundreds of bottles of wine from them. My purchase experience has always been superb, and they will continue to be my go-to for my wine purchases.
The fact that WineSpies offer great wine opportunities at very good pricing is an obvious plus. I ordered 2 bottles of wine that just weren't good, contacted Wine Spies, and was given a full refund. They ABSOLUTELY support their "agents"!!!
In relation to my review, the company claims that I gave them the wrong address and was disrespectful. All of their accusations are a complete lie. I changed my delivery address IN their system 4 weeks before I initiated shipment and I have screenshots from their company personnel admitting fault. I also attempted to assist them by trying to re-route the shipment but was unable to because FedEx policy enables only the shipper to do that. I asked them why they didn’t just change the address mid-route and the employee lazily told me “we are unable to” when they just didn’t want to. I then let them just re-ship the wines when they got them instead of demanding a refund because I act in good faith but they decided to deliberately go radio silent and steal with the excuse of “punishment.” The people who work there are jokers and burnouts. To date, they have yet to refund me all of the money across my 4 different accounts and only did so because of my previous scathing review and because they have to save face. All of the above is present in text messages and will easily be furnished. I have no choice but to have my personal attorney sue them for both monetary damages and defamation.
I have been a customer for about 4 years. I have never had any problem with the shipments. However, my recent wine shipment was damaged during the shipping process. I contacted the agents and a new replacement shipment was sent. The entire replacement took about 2 weeks. Very pleased with the service and products.
Wine Spies customer service resolved a delivery issue I had quickly and without question. It is that kind of service that makes one comfortable to buy from a company. I recommend them highly.
I just had my 20th case delivered. My husband will tell you that I have a buying problem (which I say is better than a drinking problem!), but Wine Spies makes it so easy! I love discovering the gems to add to my cellar. They do all the hard work - I just click the buy button, adding 2 or 3 bottles at a time until my locker is full. Then it ships for free! I have found so many new loves as well as stocked up when old favorites come around. So, I’ve loved Wine Spies for a few years now. But…they say you don’t know how great a company is until there is a problem and you see how they handle it. I had an issue with my recent delivery where the final mile delivery company left the case in a vehicle for days in single digit weather. By the time I received it, the corks had popped and the wine was ruined. Even though it was no fault on the Wine Spies end, they immediately took care of it. No complaints, no hassle. I was a loyal customer before, but now it’s written in stone. Looking forward to my next 20 cases!
Wine Spies is not the first wine supplier that I've been involved with, but it is much better than the others. They allow me to purchase a few bottles at a time, at very good prices, and once I've purchased a case, they ship it FREE! I've been extremely happy with the quality of the wine as well as the service!
Bought several wines and used their “locker” system to keep the wines with them for future shipping. When I requested shipment it took them weeks to get back to me and say they had an “inventory issue” and would offer a replacement wine. Then, they changed their mind and replaced 1 bottle and refunded me another before, supposedly, shipping the wine. Over a month later and after numerous emails sent by me, they came back and said they did not know where the wine was… I, obviously, don’t want to have any business dealings with a company like that so I requested refund of all items not shipped yet but, so far, they only offered partial refund. I am still giving it the benefit of the doubt that they’ll make it right but, for the time being, beware of potential issues dealing with them.
I created a locker and had it shipped late last year (2023). It came after about 2 weeks. I have only consumed two bottles so far. One was very good, the other did not live up to expectations. It was relegated to a cooking wine. 50% so far.
Love that I can purchase multiple different bottles and store until there is a case! So easy! Highly Recommend!

I consistently find high-quality wines at a good to exceptional price. The store introduces me to new wines, vintners, grapes, etc. The store features a small section of curated wines. The "locker" feature is nice, as it allows me to buy wines at my own pace and enjoy free shipment once I've bought 12 bottles.
