I had a very disappointing experience with Uphold. After fully verifying my account, I deposited funds and later attempted to withdraw my Bitcoin to my own external wallet. The transaction was flagged, my account was placed under review, and shortly after I was informed that Uphold would no longer offer me an account. Uphold then forcibly liquidated my BTC and stated that my funds would be returned within 24 business hours. However, only a partial amount appears to be scheduled for return, with the remaining portion unaccounted for. To date: • I have not received the refund • I have not been given an itemized explanation for the missing portion • Multiple emails requesting clarification have gone unanswered • Support has stopped responding entirely I understand compliance reviews, but withholding part of a customer’s funds without transparency or timely communication is not acceptable. Ticket number: 6730960 I hope Uphold addresses this matter promptly and provides clarity and resolution.

Since 4/10/2023 I have been a customer of Uphold Wallet, and until 8/6/2025, I have experienced no issues logging into my account, making purchases or executing sales. At risk is $1200 worth of XRP in my wallet that I need to sell quickly to repair my vehicle that is now undrivable without urgent repairs. Since 8/6/2025 I have wasted several hours of my precious time over the past 3 days attempting to logon to my account to no avail. Uphold Wallet now requires access via their new mobile app instead of my desktop that used to work perfectly. Now nothing works, not the platform website, not the mobile app, nothing is working, and I waste my time going around and around in an endless loop. I researched the Internet to locate a phone number for support to request access to my account, and nobody answers the phone. I am required to leave a voice mail message, hoping that someone will call me back and resolve my issue. Obviously, Uphold does not want to be bothered by account holders, and they have made it impossible to access my account requiring a mobile app that does not work. Since I have been unable to access my Uphold account, I requested support to close my account and transfer my money to my bank account. They asked me to go through an ID verification process, which I did twice, and they acknowledged receiving said ID verification. Support also asked for my bank account information, which I also did provide immediately when asked. They did close my account per my request, but after 3 days, they still have my money, and they have not responded as to when I can receive my money. It appears as though they have contrived a device to steal my funds in my account. As of 8/8/2025, after 3 days of asking and waiting, still no response from Uphold Wallet as to when I can receive my $1200 into my checking account.

I always TRUST in this wallet, in my case and opinion its almost 7 years and I haven't a complaint with them, the support team risponds always,

I attempted to transfer funds using the account. When the transaction didn’t go through they restricted my account and said nothing as regard to why. My account has been restricted for a week now. I waited for them to get back to me to resolve the issue and never received anything. I called the complaint number multiple days and multiple times and nothing. No one has gotten back to me. Not one single person regarding my funds and i put over 5k in that account in hopes to transfer. I don’t play about my money so them just holding it with no communication was already a hindrance but also unsettling. I highly don’t recommend and say check reddit before using them as a crypto wallet. Still restricted and trying to get my money at this moment.

After making purchase of $3000 worth of bitcoin, my account got banned, i contacted their support but it was no help, I had to report to Rose Lane GP

Right after purchasing a decent amount of bitcoin my account was restricted! What’s that all about!? It’s not filling me with confidence can you get at me asap pls my ticket number is #4914640 Update: They got back to me swiftly and dealt with the matter quickly so I’m happy about that. 5stars for that

Opened an account with them and within five days they closed it. That was six weeks ago. Have written numerous emails requesting the return of my money. Initially I was told my money was safe and would be returned within 7 to 10 working days. I would not advise anyone to open an account with them.

You will never so much fee

Using 4 months and really like it. Used very gingerly at first due to bad reviews. Have had to contact customer service for help and found them mega helpful and mega responsive. 👍

Having such high transaction and shipping costs in 2023 is lousy. The navigation on the site is lunar, each action is a challenge so badly designed. Do not deposit a single cent, prefer honest platforms. This type of Exchange is made to scam people. Be careful!

My account has been put under review an I created it TODAY with an email invitation to claim my funds, I didn't even made any transaction

Hace varios dias atras mi cuenta ya verificada se marcó para revisión y hasta ahora no tengo respuesta en un ticket (#2879651) que abrí para averiguar la situación... Lo mas ilogico es que se puede depositar pero no retirar.... eso implica un potencial uso poco ético de la plataforma y el servicio... una pena que sea la unica billetera que se usa con brave rewards.... Actualizo y me quitaron la restricción aunque bastante retrasada... se debe tener mucha paciencia en algunos casos de seguro....

Very bad wallet platform, unresponsive team and suspected scam, never trust them!!!

I only used uphold to collect BAT tokens from BRAVE. I requested to reset the 2FA aythenticator since it isn't synchronised with Google authenticator and instead of sending me a reset link like in the past, they requested to provide my official goverment documents and my biometric face data to a 3rd party automatic authenticator which would never happen. My personal goverment documents and biometric data would never be provided to any online website. THEY ARE PERSONAL. i have tried to contact them explaining the situation but they don't listen me. I have already provided my passport when i register their service but obviously it was a big mistake. As a result I can't access my account and my funds and my passport. They would stay lock forever and I would never be allowed to access my account again.

Bonjour, Porte-feuille ou wallet numérique exploité (et validé) depuis environ 3 ans (par leur soins). Reçu un mail depuis fin Avril 2022 expliquant des changements dans la plate-forme et qu'il fallait re-prouver que l'on était bien soi-même (sachant que c'était le chemin de croix, déjà à l'époque, en montrant tout les papiers du monde...) en liant ou jointant le compte bancaire avec le compte Uphold. Petit soucis : à l'époque le nom du compte Uphold était différent du nom du titulaire-compte (ce qui, légalement et en France en tout cas n'enlève rien au caractère légal, totalement prouvable avec certains documents lol bonjour la vie privée ou ce qu'il en reste...) et même en ayant fait l'ajout-bénéficiaire, envoyer le virement avec la référence tout ça etc ça rejette ledit virement et un message automatique est généré ce qui rajoute au côté humain du support Uphold. A cela il faut ajouter le fait que ce sont des petits malins : impossible de les contacter depuis Twitter (même en étant abonné) tout est grisé du compte support au compte maison-mère (inc.)... sympathique. Reste les tickets-mails quand ils veulent bien répondre car au fond impossible de savoir pourquoi maintenant seulement ils reclament ce type de lien-jointage entre le compte bancaire (qui ne marche pas alors qu'ils voient bien qu'il s'agit de la même personne ou du même titulaire-compte...). Sans doute une manière (supposition : aucune preuve bien sûr mais manque de retour-reponse d'une personne organique) détournée d'éconduire les utilisateurs non-américains en notant qu'il est indiqué un rejet dès le 11 Mai 2022 alors que la manipulation a été faite mais rejetée par leurs soins ! Pratique sournoise pour rejeter tout ce qui n'est pas parfaitement en miroir (compte bancaire et compte Uphold...) et sans trop aller au cas par cas. Ou alors il faut changer de nom de compte Uphold mais, alors, il faut re-faire toute la paperasse de verification si, bien sûr, cela convient à Uphold. Assez déçevant pour une plate-forme optimisée crypto-monnaie et voulant éconduire de manière assez abrupte tout ce qui n'est pas en relation directe avec ce marché. La classe... sans évoquer les fermetures des moyens de communication digne des sociétés d'affacturage ou de recouvrements.

This is the worst wallet, Ive gave photo id ,SS and authentication codes like they ask for and still can't get my money. They have no problem taking money out of bank but to put back in is a hassle. Done with crypto nothing but a scam!!

I used uphold for two years Until today receiving a notification that they cannot offer anymore an account to me. This is a very strange for a reputable company like uphold closing a client account instantly. If they need further information they should ask before closing.

La plataforma tiene dos años con mis ahorros retenidos y en realidad los necesito. Me parece de muy mal gusto la retención de este dinero sin pensar en las necesidades que podría tener el dueño del mismo...
