Paid a lot of money and put wrong aerial up...rung them and they said they ceased trading....TV keeps pixilating.. so annoyed .

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Used this company to get my cctv installed last July and it stopped working exactly 13 months after. On calling, the lady on the phone says we no longer cover Scotland and I need to find someone local to fix whatever's wrong. I paid over £500 to get this installed and it worked for just a year for them to say my 12 months warranty is up and they can't help. Asked for the local guy's details who completed the job at my property and the woman would not cooperate and never gave me a contact number for him. I'd avoid this sham of a company at all cost.

Exceedingly bad customer service.

FRom the very first contact and making arrangements for an engineer to come and give and estimate and install if okay, numerous phone calls to be told the engineer was give SW instead of KT then rearranged for today between 8-9am called turned up and I got a call from a basically un-enthusiastic engineer with the quote and I agreed to have an aerial fitted, when he had left discovered there was damaged to the a TV 50" bought in January this year, the engineer returned totally denying he did any damage , however had moved the sideboard which was heavy on his own, after saying if he had damaged it he would personally buy one and in the next breath said he had come to remove the aerial as I had not paid never once did I say I would not pay, very insulting ,paid but absolutely would not recommend this company.

Failed to show up on 3 separate…

Failed to show up on 3 separate appointments, each time after waiting all day received phone call very late p.m on each occasion claiming engineer overrunning, flat battery,double booked ect. Last chance was advised night before engineer would be with me between 8/9a.m. No show by 10.30 a.m so called up to be advised engineer on his way stuck in traffic, within 2 mins tx from engineer telling me he is at central stores waiting for parts ,should be with me approximately 11.30a.m. By this time had enough of there shenanigans. They show no remorse ,poor attitude to people like me who pay there wages. Good luck any future customers who attempt to have work carried out by this company.think twice.

Unexpected fees, bad placement, no support

They charged us a call out fee for a visit to give us a quote without telling us there would be a fee in advance. When they gave us a quote, they sneakily excluded the VAT so the final amount was much higher They installed the aerial so close to the neighbours roof that they’ve been complaining. When asked about putting it on the chimney instead, they were extremely dismissive and unhelpful

Do not use

Asked engineer to attend he made me have unnecessary work carried out then messed it up told me I'd have to live with it I instructed another company they sorted it in 5 mins was told by tvaerialcompany tough.

Tom arrived when expected

Tom arrived when expected. He was very upfront and I had choices to make. We had a new aerial fitted, Tom was very informative, efficient and polite. It was expensive but trying to find a fitter was proving very difficult and I did have a choice. In summary thank you for coming to our rescue.

Speedy & efficient service. Perhaps too efficient

Very speedy and efficient service. So far no issues with the aerial, but has only just been installed today. The downside which I guess comes from the businesses experience with poor paying customers. The aerial was fitted and this happened whilst I was in the gym. I received no less than 5 phone calls in 20 minutes chasing payment of the invoice which I had already stated I would pay via BACS. Bitter sweet. But Scott (engineer) was very good and pleasant to deal with. Office staff less so.

Although I found the price very…

Although I found the price very expensive for an aerial replacement it was my choice to fit a new one because the other one was at least 20 years old and I’m having a new roof fitted so thought it’s a good time to fit a new one before the work commences. Scott the engineer was very professional friendly and knowledgeable and talked it all through before I made my decision to go ahead with the work

If you want something doing properly, do it yourself

I had an aerial fitted in my loft by this company last April. Standard definition channels worked fine, HD channels did not. When I phoned up I was told this was likely due to interference from the nearby airport, and that I could pay for a stronger aerial to resolve the issue which I decided not to do. 14 months pass and I get my loft boarded, giving me access to the loft and the aerial for the first time. The penny drops that the aerial is pointing completely the wrong way. The engineer had installed it to face North-West when it should face pretty much due South for where I live. I phoned up again, but was told quite rudely it would cost £69 to reposition it as the 12 month warranty had expired, so I decided to do it myself. Signal strength went from 46% to 91% for the HD channels. In summary, if in the future I am in need of an aerial installation, I would sooner rather try my hand at doing it myself than deal with this rude, inept company again.

Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague. Shoddy workmanship. I had to tell the workmen what needed doing otherwise the fault wouldn't have been fixed. Charged £800 for what was initially quoted as a £200+ job (less than an hours work, and should have been quicker except that it was not done correctly and had to be redone.) Broke rooftiles in the process. When I complained the same workman was sent back who became aggressive and accusatory - so much so that I asked him to leave the premises. Further communications with the company are met with a computer says no approach. Very sad and unacceptable that they are ripping off vulnerable people.

I was massively overcharged and am disgusted

I was massively overcharged for the installation of an aerial £69 plus VAT diagnostic fee, £429 plus VAT for aerial and £119 plus VAT for a 2 way splitter. I had called Aerial force for the repair but this is the company on my invoice. I am disgusted.

Avoid!

Charged a vulnerable relative more than £600 to install an aerial. Even taking into account cost of parts and labour, this person was absolutely taken advantage of. We got nowhere with customer service. Read ALL the reviews on here and make a wiser choice than we did. (Also read Trustpilot's statement at the top! Wish we had.)

Overpriced, poor service, do not use

Had them install a ringdoorbell. Problems Doorbell installed too low: can't see tall people's faces Wifi signal strength too weak to keep reliable connection: Not their fault, but they should have tested and alerted me Discarded packaging with QR code: meaning I have to remove doorbell cover everytime I need to reconnect doorbell Overcharged: charged 50% over quoted price. It was already overpriced for the job, but I wanted it done quickly. DO NOT USE

Exceptional service, exceptional engineer.

Contact made at 9.00 am. Engineer (Darren Smith) arrived around 11.00 am, diagnosed faults, suggested remedy, had fixed all faults and left us with perfectly functioning system by 12.20. A mighty thank you to Darren. He was knowledgeable, efficient, polite and personable. He kept us informed of our options at all stages including cost. Overall, a positive experience due to speed and efficiency of response, value for money, but especially Darren. Thank you all.

On the 9th of May your engineer Darren…

On the 9th of May your engineer Darren Smith came to fit 3 cctv cameras for us in Tumble. Everything Darren did we give him a 5 star rating because at every level he was a superb engineer which made us feel very satisfied by this exceptional employee of yours. Firstly,we were gratified he came so quickly to do the job.!! He willingly gave his information and we must say at all levels Darren scored maximum stars.

Uselss Customer Service

I asked if they could diagnose and probably fix some aerial connection problems. An appointment was made for the following day when, at lunchtime, I received an automated message saying they were busy but that my job had a high priority and they would be turning up the next day. Exactly the same thing happened the next day - and then again on the thrid day. I 'phoned to cancel the appointment but received no answer. They are stil telling me they will come the next day.

I arranged for this company to set mums…

I arranged for this company to set mums new tv up, I had spoken to the company contact advisors on numerous occasions before the visit explaining exactly what was required and given a price of £94:40 mums tv was on site having been just delivered and the Guy said to her it will be more than that and charged her £118.80. I have phoned the number of the company who said I need to email customer services which I have. My mum is nearly 90 and I’m so annoyed that this company is letting this happen. He justified the extra charge because he had to attach the two tiny legs 😡

Deserves no stars

Deserves no stars. This company is a fraud and has ripped us off for over £300. Engineer installed the aerial facing 90° the wrong way and pretended there that there was an unforseen "problem" with the signal so he could charge us extra for a booster. We called a reptable company to inspect the work when we became suspicious. They confirmed that what he had done was fraudulent and, additionally, that he had installed something that would make the signal worse. Will be going to trading standards if Aerialforce/TV Aerial Co does not refund us, take down the aerial and make the wall good.
