Great compatible pricing for travel insurance
Travel Protect is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and great value.
I hope I don't need to use my insurance, but I now have great piece of mind, and at a very competitive price point.
It was easy online to follow and was the cheapest.
Great compatible pricing for travel insurance
Great inclusions great price. Didn’t have to claim anything but was very good for peace of mind that we had it.
This company is incredible! My 21 year old son had to have an emergency appendectomy in Thailand on his own and they looked after him and reassured and kept in hourly contact with us the entire procedure - their after care was also exceptional - worth every dollar for this insurance.
Really good user interface & cost-effective.
Affordable and east access
Ease of purchase. I haven’t had the need as of yet, to draw on the policy
Well priced and easy to sign up
Taking out travel insurance was made easy. Made an enquiry by phone the woman on the phone was so helpful, perlite and just lovely, thank you.
Great way to start the trip- covered and saving $$
Very quick and very easy.
Good service. Easy to understand
Competitive pricing and easy to take out a policy, but haven’t made a claim, so hard to rate the real value.
competent so far
[Edit: after reading my review below, they got back to me and finally agreed with my argument. So, 5 stars for being responsive!] Our flight was delayed. We had to arrange and pay for overnight accommodation, for which we were reimbursed by the airline. The Travel Protect policy said we would receive a $300 payment for this delay. However, their claims office said that because we were reimbursed there would be no payout. While this would be a reasonable policy in principle, I can't see it in the policy I signed up for.
Excellent service and value for money.
Easy website to navigate. Can’t give a full review due to trip hadn’t started at the time.
It was quick and easy
Great customer service
Travel Protect was one of only a few which allowed you to insure fully against cancellation and to recoup all costs. When you invest $20k on a holiday, you dont mind payjng a little more to protect against unforeseen events.
I called travelprotect from a taxi driving through floodwaters in Thailand after the driver advised that we would not make it to the airport today. The first five minutes of the call in this stressful situation was spent verifying my identity, even though I offered the policy number at the beginning of the call. When I was finally able to ask what assistance I'd be receiving, as in will they arrange a hotel and a new flight etc. I was informed that I will need to pay for everything myself and then make a claim after returning home, and that the payment of the claim would be dependant on me providing documented proof of the flooding event. When I asked where does one acquire such a document, I was met the realisation of incompetence. Such an authority does not exist. The only way to "prove" the flooding event was photos and video. The one positive of the call is that he reminded me to ensure I document everything and save every receipt to support my forthcoming claim. In fairness this is about as bad as every insurance company. And as a fun little anecdote, the plane was 5 hours late which afforded us plenty of time to navigate the floods so no claim was made.
