Ga naar Cicar

Door een vluchtvertraging in China kon mijn kameraad 2 dagen later aanwezig zijn in Lanzarote. Ik had al een wagen van bij Cicar. Dus ik met zijn vrouw naar de luchthaven, want alles was al betaald. Totaal geen begrip daar en zeker geen hulp. Zelfs een arrogant lachje. Ze kreeg hem niet mee omdat haar man hem geboekt heeft. Terwijl ze wel als chauffeur opstaat. Na 2 dagen kreeg zelfs haar man hem niet meer omdat je de auto binnen 24 uur moet ophalen. Nooit meer Topcar... Wij noemen het flopcar. Nu nog hopen dat ze het geld terugkrijgen.

Avons récupéré les informations et dû payer une assurance supplémentaire tout risque de 68 € pour 15 jours et avons du aller récupérer les clés à un autre endroit sans grande explication. Le GPS ne fonctionnait pas de retour en agence refus de changer de voiture car pas d'autres voitures avec un GPS. Vidange a 1200km. Pneus dégonflés...

Fantástica experiencia!!

Fantástica experiencia!!! Lo aconsejo totalmente. Habíamos reservado un descapotable pequeño, y nos dieron por el mismo precio un precioso TRoc, nuevecito. El trato también muy agradable, así que repetiremos.

Only with topcar this problem not with others

I booked a car on xpedia ( this company tried their best) but topcar is the worst company ever Don’t book with them My wife has no creditcard of herself So I did the booking I gave her my passport picture the booking confirmation and my creditcard that I used to book this car She is not allowed to collect this car It is paid in full until 3/8 20 days from now They said the car will be available 24 h after collection date How is this possible if you show up ? I can believe this is you don’t show up Other carcompany I don’t have this problem

First Class in every way

Office located in tha arrival terminal. Receptionist was polite and efficient.The Top car rental was very easy to find just a few hundred meters from the terminal. The car i ordered citroen C3 was very clean inside and out low low mileage car with no damage. Collecting the keys was easy. Car was economical to run and had a full tank of fuel. Returning the car was easy well sign posted. The representative quickly checked the car over on return. Would highly recommend Top car first class in every way.

Letztes Mal Gran Canaria Top, dieses Mal Fuerteventura Flop

Bisher hatte ich bereits ein Fahrzeug auf Gran Canaria gemietet und war sehr zufrieden mit dem Service und dem Fahrzeug. Bei meiner Anmietung in Fuerteventura leider nicht. Mietvertrag und Schlüssel-Abholung: Für die Abholung musste ich knapp eine Stunde warten. Es waren zu wenig Mitarbeiter im Einsatz oder es kamen zuviele Flugzeuge zur gleichen Zeit. Die Erfahrung war negativ aber evtl. keine direkte Schuld von Topcar. Abholung Fahrzeug: Das für uns vorgesehene Fahrzeug hatte beschädigte Reifen (Abplatzungen von Steinen). Worauf wir zum Top Car Mitarbeiter gegangen sind mit dem Hinweis dass wir Beschädigungen akzeptieren aber nicht Beschädigungen, welche die Sicherheit gefährden. Deshalb baten wir um ein anderes Fahrzeug. Der Kommentar vom Mitarbeiter: "Das ist normal in Fuerteventura bei den Fahrzeugen". Meine Antwort dazu: "Nein für mich ist das nicht normal, ich erwarte unbeschädigte Reifen, insbesondere wenn kein Ersatzrad im Fahrzeug ist". Also hat er uns freundlicherweise ein neues Fahrzeug gegeben. Fahrzeug: Unser Fahrzeug war ein Renault. Grundsätzlich ein schönes Auto und als Automatikfahrzeug angenehm zu fahren. Leider war das Fahrzeug relativ schmutzig, innen und außen, sodass ich erst einmal in eine Selbstwaschanlage gefahren bin und das Fahrzeug komplett abgespritzt habe. Außerdem gab es einige Verformungen an Karosserieteilen, diese habe ich selbstverständlich gleich fotografiert. Beim Fahren zitterte das Fahrzeug ab ca. 100 KM/h. Vermutlich eine verzogene Achse? das Lenksystem? In jedem Fall ein unangenehmes Gefühl beim Fahren. Übergabeprotokoll: Auf dem Übergabeprotokoll war kein einziger Schaden vermerkt!! Ich habe deshalb das Fahrzeug komplett abfotografiert, falls später Diskussionen auf mich zukommen. Kaution: 500 EURO Kaution, das ist ok. Die Kaution habe ich eine Woche nach Anmietung zurück bekommen. Hiermit bin ich zufrieden. Ich habe das Fahrzeug noch einmal vor Abgabe gewaschen. Habe es 3/4 voll aufgetankt (wie ich es auch übernommen habe). Fazit: Schönes Auto, schlechte Bedingungen, freundliche Mitarbeiter die sich Mühe geben. Gemischte Gefühle. Ich schwanke derzeit zwischen 2 und 3 Sternen. Ich denke ich werde nächstes Mal eine andere Vermietung ausprobieren. Meine Buchungsnummer: 51120871

TopCar is top!

When I arrived at the rental desk at La Palma airport nobody was there, so a got a bit worried, but after 15min the team arrived and from there it went very smooth. The car was prepaid, they took 500€ on my card as deposit and gave me the keys. I ordered a manual but got an automatic, which was fine. The car had some scratches but they said don't worry we know about it. I took some pictures just to be sure. I was very happy with the car and after I returned it the deposit was returned within one day. So overall I was very happy with their service and will use them again in the future!

YES OR NO .... YOU DECIDE. (TENERIFE SOUTH)

Pro's : The car was ready for collection on arrival. Fuel tank was full. The deposit was returned promptly. Con's : The car was a bit battered and badly scratched. ZERO damage report on the paperwork...!!!!! Told to photo it all myself. WHY the car is their property. Should the customer be responsible for the condition of the vehicle at the start of the hire. Ten minutes of faffing around (Photo's) to ensure you don't get ripped off for damage which already exists. Staff completely disinterested when I queried the condition of the car. I of course took plenty of photos before leaving the rental office and did the same on return. I will not use them again and as I dislike the practice of withdrawing the deposit in cash from my account. I WAS aware from the Website of this before booking. They say it's for the benefit of their customers ...? I DON'T THINK. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been using the blocking method of deposit for 30yrs without a single problem. Lost an additional £5 when deposit returned. No charges by my credit card company so must be cash retained by car hire firm. Interest rate had also slightly improved in the time gap so probably lost a bit more than that. The car refused to start once, which turned out to be a faulty electronic ignition key (Battery in key fob not connecting correctly. Needed a sharp tap to reseat it). Judge yourself on the vehicle condition and lack of damage report if you think it's worth using this company or not....? Plus deposit method. Had a reply as can been seen, thanks.. One additional point for renters of ALL car hire firms. REMOVE THE STICKER IN THE BACK WINDOW, which identifies the car as a rental. Its a MAGNET to thieves and vandals to try and break in or vandalise it. The local police have advised me more than once to do this. I have NEVER had any query upon return, by the rental company, as to why this has been removed.

Okay. Couple of issues to note

There are two main issues with the Tenerife airport south branch which people should be aware of: 1. The €650 deposit is charged to your card and only refunded after you return the car. It is not a hold of €650. So you’ll potentially incur FX costs if your card doesn’t give a clean rate, or if the FX rate changes. I’ve never seen this approach before. 2. We were given an “upgrade”. It wasn’t an upgrade, rather it was a low quality model of a car which is specifically manufactured for rentals. Both these points were challenged at the time and brushed off with no real explanation, so there is little you can do about it. Leaving that aside, the staff were pleasant to deal with and the car, despite being fairly low quality, did the job required.

Every car hire company gets a bad rep…

Every car hire company gets a bad rep in reviews. All I can say is that I used TopCar in Tenerife - staff very polite, car was fine, price was good, and my deposit was promptly refunded in full. Will use them again.

Eine schöne Erfahrung

Ich habe ein Auto am Flughafen von Gran Canaria gemietet und es nach zwei Wochen in Playa del Ingles abgegeben. Nicht nur der Preis war toll, der Service war es auch in beiden Büros. Habe ein günstiges Modell gebucht und als Gratis-Upgrade einen nagelneuen Nissan Juke bekommen. Bei der Übergabe des Autos wurde alles genau erklärt und bei der Abgabe lief alles komplikationslos – sehr nett war die Mitarbeiterin Nisa! Fazit: günstig und gut, eine schöne Erfahrung!
