Door een vluchtvertraging in China kon mijn kameraad 2 dagen later aanwezig zijn in Lanzarote. Ik had al een wagen van bij Cicar. Dus ik met zijn vrouw naar de luchthaven, want alles was al betaald. Totaal geen begrip daar en zeker geen hulp. Zelfs een arrogant lachje. Ze kreeg hem niet mee omdat haar man hem geboekt heeft. Terwijl ze wel als chauffeur opstaat. Na 2 dagen kreeg zelfs haar man hem niet meer omdat je de auto binnen 24 uur moet ophalen. Nooit meer Topcar... Wij noemen het flopcar. Nu nog hopen dat ze het geld terugkrijgen.
Avons récupéré les informations et dû payer une assurance supplémentaire tout risque de 68 € pour 15 jours et avons du aller récupérer les clés à un autre endroit sans grande explication. Le GPS ne fonctionnait pas de retour en agence refus de changer de voiture car pas d'autres voitures avec un GPS. Vidange a 1200km. Pneus dégonflés...

Lo aconsejo totalmente. Habíamos reservado un descapotable pequeño, y nos dieron por el mismo precio un precioso TRoc, nuevecito.
El trato también muy agradable, así que repetiremos.

So I did the booking
I gave her my passport picture the booking confirmation and my creditcard that I used to book this car
She is not allowed to collect this car
It is paid in full until 3/8 20 days from now
They said the car will be available 24 h after collection date
How is this possible if you show up ?
I can believe this is you don’t show up

Via Easyterra een auto gehuurd bij TopCar. Top service! Auto zonder problemen en gedoe opgehaald op de luchthaven van Gran Canaria.
Na ‘n halve dag bleek de airco niet te werken. Na ‘n telefoontje aan TopCar konden wij de volgende dag een andere auto vlak bij onze vakantiebestemming halen. Ook daar was alles prima geregeld en kregen wij een andere auto waarbij alles het deed.
Ook het weer inleveren van de auto op de luchthaven ging probleem en soepel. Van ons ‘n 10 voor TopCar!
Nulla da dire sul servizio, sulla qualità e pulizia dell'auto, ma ho molto da ridire ed è la prima volta che mi capita che venga immediatamente incassato il deposito cauzionale, oltre 15 anni che noleggio auto ma non mi è mai capitato; il deposito cauzionale come dice la stessa parola è un deposito a garanzia del noleggiatore e no una cifra a sua disposizione e tutto questo non è riportato sul contratto di noleggio
I would like to have given TopCar more than 2 star but due to "an admin error" they still had my 900 Euro deposit over 6 weeks later. I noticed it had not been credited back and chased it. Make sure you check your credit card. The people in the garage were very helpful and are the reason I have not given them 1 star. My other big problem is that the car was inferior and smaller than the one I booked. They seem to play with the description "or similar". The only good thing to come out of it was the exchange rate changed and the fact they held onto my deposit meant they gave me back a bit more in pounds sterling.
No queue at pick up. Had my own excess insurance and made it clear at the onset. Had to pay a 900 euro deposit but was expecting that. Paid £91 for 10 days through booking.com for a VW TCross. Car was probably about 3 years old but adequate. I always take photos of the car inside and out both on collection and return just in case. Upon return handed the keys over to an employee who didn't check the car. I was concerned there maybe an issue with return of the deposit but it was returned in full after 3 working days. Would consider using again but would not book direct.
Buenas he alquilado un coche en el aeropuerto de Tenerife Norte, a la llegada para poder recoger el coche he tenido que esperar dos horas para que se me entregara el vehiculo, tiempo que creo que es demaciado, ya que eso me origino otros problemas con cosas que tenia contratadas en otros lugares y nadie te descuenta nada por esa perdida de tiempo y sin uso del coche
I appreciate reviews can be subjective and waiting times could vary depending on flight arrivals, but my experience with Top Car Gran Canaria was excellent.
1. Waiting time - was in and out in less than 10mins, no queue and really straightforward.
2. Vehicle- I ordered "Hyundai Tucson or similar" and was given a Tucson. It was relatively new, clean, with an excellent spec. Android Auto, cruise control, lane assist, etc.
3 Collection and Return - bit of a walk to get the car, but instructions where clear and easy to follow. No issues finding the car. Returning was simple, park in a Top Car spot and drop the keys off in a safe box. Nothing to do with the rental company but people appear to treat the multi story drop off like a race track. Please be aware of this and keep an eye on kids when you get out. Couldn't tell who was driving (and I'm making an assumption here) but looked very much like local folk and bearing the colours of car rental companies.
To summarise, really easy to deal with, got exactly what I ordered and certainly felt like good value for money.
Would have no hesitation in using again!
Pickup at Lanzarote airport, reasonably quick but rude and arrogant if not paying the additional insurance.
Vehicle parked outside of airport in the pitch black with no means of inspecting the vehicle, took ages to find it as disnt have unlock facility on key and had to physically unlock so cluldnt even look for indicator flashing to guide us, no handover documentation showing previous damage etc.
Photos taken the next morning of existing damage and emailed to topcar but no acknowledgement as yet!
We expect a battle on return as they have already held £900 deposit
Luckily we have a seperate excess insurance policy in place
Probably best to read reviews of all providers and pick accordingly, this bunch may appear cheap but there method of clawing back money through the previous damage scam all makes sense
They have tried to shift previous damage to me. Please make lots of pictures, movies of car condition. They refuse upon car pick up to place damages in the report. Upon delivery they check if you have pictures on file and if negative they try to impose you old damages. Furthermore the keep avoiding placing this damage in the system for next rental.
Pick up from Fuerteventura airport was dreadfully disorganised…
Pick up from Fuerteventura airport was atrocious.90mins to collect a car booked online and completed online check in on arrival at desk. 2 queues. The other desk clerk was seeing 3 people to one our side so this was basic incompetence from the staff member. Car was fine..few dents on a new car which we noted by photo on pick up. Return very easy and organised. They took 700 euro deposit and then refunded. It was not just authorised payment it was debited and refunded.
Recogimos el coche en el aeropuerto de gran Canaria . El coche bien un Sportage nuevo, tenía algunos rasguños que ellos pusieron en el acta. No os olvidéis de grabar el coche por afuera por si acaso.
No tuvimos que esperar mucho así que bien. Yo lo recomiendo, sólo hay algo que a mi me parece muy importante es que las sillitas de bebé, deberían de actualizarlas. Y no te las instalan.
Nosotros no íbamos a usar mucho el coche. Pero el tema de las sillitas…. Deberían de mejorarlo bastante
