Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Having problems with my phone, turns out I was topping up the wrong thing. Brilliant customer service from Adam, who fixed everything for me.

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

Mixed opinion (so far)

Just ported to Talk Home Mobile - First the porting completed a day later than the date selected. The most frustrating thing is we're expected to contact them for very basic things such as cancellation of auto-renewal rather than providing an option somewhere account. How is it fair to allow user to start auto-renewal but we cannot cancel it? Further, the double data for first month was not allocated until I reached out to them (clearly things did not start well). If one wants to upgrade to a higher plan, they cannot chose the start date as it'll start immediately. What about the situations if I want to start the upgraded plan at the end of current subscription? Really cannot say how long I'd be able to stick to them (hopefully my experience changes as there are basic things and controls that are currently missing).

Ported my number, lost my number!

Edit *Was contacted by Arron to inform me the issue I had was fixed and they gave me 5gb extra data to use. I have updated my review from 1 star to 2 as was asked if I was happy with the reserve.* Owed me funds from a sim I didn't receive, a month later I got the sim but no refund, decided to join. PAC code was sent over, 2 days later my old sim stopped, but the Talkhome sim was still not working but full signal. Been days without a working sim card with no results.

Offers good value plans using EE…

Offers good value plans using EE network which I need because of coverage issues. My monthly plan didn't initially renew at the end of the month. I had to phone up twice to get the issue resolved. Calls quickly answered. No long ques. The agent who finally dealt with the issue resolved it fully to my satisfaction.
