Review summary
Talk Home Mobile has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up.
Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws.
Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.
I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam
No spending Caps , No forwarding, No VoLTE, No WiFi calling, No Human customer service.
Very very basic, you get what you pay for , allthough Talkhome is cheap , it fails on some of the most important features . I paid £15 for a whole year for 250 mins, 250 texts and 1GB data , for a secondary business phone ..
---No call forwarding .. This is not mentioned on their website prior to purchase . This is a network feature NOT DEPENDANT ON HANDSET ! 'Talk-Home' operate on the EE network , but somehow their call forwarding is made unavailable or broken
---No Spending caps .. Again not mentioned on any of their website , so if you make more calls than your plan , or use Data , you will be billed . Again this is network controlled .
--- No Wifi Calling
--- No VoLTE
---Robotic Ai Responses from the same so called 'human' named 'joey'
Cheap for a reason .. Avoid unless you have very simple needs
At the end of the first month, strangely my sim contract did not renew automatically. Suddenly I was unable to call any numbers from my mobile and lost internet connection too. Upon contacting customer services, was advised that my bank has failed to authorise the monthly transaction which was quite strange as it has never happened before. Eventually found out it was nothing to do with the bank. My bank had never received any request in the first place. It took 3 days and a couple of calls to Talk Home. Finally received wonderful help from Ahmad (customer services), who promised to get the technical team to look into this matter immediately and within few hours got it resolved. Thanks Ahmad for your help!
Signed up to talk home a month ago with an unlimited calls and texts, as of today I can't do either, online help centre not helping and call centre doesn't work.
** Update ** 13/7/23
Amazingly the bundle has apparently been reinstated as there was a "delay" according to the email I just received. Didn't help me yesterday when there was no bundle active!
Lies and deception AVOID !!!
Originally purchased a rolling deal and received an email stating a change to T&C resulting in a 12-month contract.
I canceled the service to avoid the 12-month lockin and posted a review on Trustpilot about my experience. I then received an email from Ismail Y from Nowtel, who operates Talk Home Mobile, with a compensation offer to continue using the sim for six months FOC on the same bundle. This was conditional on me removing the negative Trustpilot review.
I agreed to the offer and removed my review. Lo and behold, one month later the promised sim bundle no longer works !!!
Happy to post the full emails from Nowtel staff making the 6-month promise.
Avoid this provider as it isn't worth the hassle and they lie.
I won't be removing this review.
Had the provide more details of we will remove the review email

Hello *****,
I request you if you can remove the 1-star review. I will offer you the same allowances for next 6 months, It won’t be a contract . Just use the SIM card for 6 months with the allowances you were promised with . We won’t be taking any money from you. Your contract has already been cancelled .
If you remove the review, just let me know and start using the services free of cost for next 6 months .
It’s a compensation offer . Let me know if you are interested .
Regards,
Ismail”
