Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Adam's support was great

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

I moved from Plusnet

I moved from Plusnet, after they stopped providing mobile contracts directly. Was a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews but it's all gone very smoothly. My daughter's also taken out a contract with TalkHome and we've both ported our numbers with no problem

Staff were very helpful

Customer service staff were very helpful. I contacted the staff through live chat for SIM swap several times. The first time Sarah addressed to my problem and helped me to figure out the solution patiently. I waited for the new SIM and chatted with another staff, Peter. He was also really helpful to let me know the steps and procedures to do. And he also voluntarily kept me update with my SIM status without I logged in to chat again. The staff(s) I contacted were so kind-hearted and listened to my questions patiently. The waiting time for joining into live chat was serval minutes. It was really reasonable. Highly recommend this company.

Worst experience to transfer from…

Worst experience to transfer from another network (transferred from Vodafone). I ported my number using a PAC code, however when I requested to cancel the process (in hindsight I thought a new number would be better as I get a lot of nuisance calls), the advisor said she'd pass the message to the relevant team but cannot guarantee it'll be cancelled. A few hours later I noticed on my portal it was cancelled successfully, however 2 days later (way past the selected date of transfer) my old number got disconnected from Vodafone and ported to Talk Home. Second problem, whenever contact Customer Services by phone, I select all the options needed then placed in a queue, however after waiting a substantial amount of time either the call will hang up or if an Agent does eventually answer they then immediately end the call, absolutely ridiculous! Next problem, is their mobile app which I couldn't log into so raised this with customer services. I have spoken with live chat numerous times only to be told to check back tomorrow as they have contacted the department to escalate but not heard anything back. So far this has been over 2 weeks and now I've decided to move to Lyca Mobile.

Great Customer Service

What a pleasant change to give five stars to a mobile phone company! I cannot praise them enough. Great customer service, they answer the phone quickly and reply to email queries in a very professional manner. Despite negative comments about porting, there was no problems and it was completed on time. I live in a rural area and the reception is excellent with both 5G and 4G. Not having WiFi calling is a little disappointing but the signal is good enough. Further Update... A big thank you to Adam for his help with a connection problem today (25/01), best customer support ever!!

Talk Home Mobile is the best

Talk Home Mobile is the best. It is always very prompt to answer customers service calls, and readily available with professionals to help with any issues. The waiting time is on the average of 10 seconds Max. It is an incredible feat! Michael was very helpful today. He was able to diligently resolve all my queries. What a guy! Professional with great customer service skills. Thank you, Michael.

Does Not Fully Support The EE Network

They are cheap on a basic package, but if you want to do something simple, they will take all your money. The network they state is EE, my work phone is on EE and is so much stronger than the talk home network. Anything you want to use a mobile phone will cost above your agreed price. Date of experience: 25 December 2023 ===================== Although Talk Home claims to use the EE network you don’t get WiFi calling or VoLTE and your SIM won’t connect to EE’s Band 20 4G transmitters, which will affect coverage in rural areas and capacity in urban areas.

Avoid this company
