Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Adam's support was great

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

Avoid like the plague

As the title says, you should avoid this company like the plague. Sure they have nice low prices but several traps and well rehearsed customer services responses for saying sorry. Clearly they are well versed is getting it wrong and having to apologise. I’m my case I got enticed by a 1p deal for 3 months. I understand it to be a rolling monthly contract but that was not the case. It was a 3 month contract. My port in was a disaster and I was without my number for 5 days, they seemed unphased by the issue and repeated the same lines….. Your number will be with you soon! This has been raised at a more senior level and we understand your concern! In the end I raised a complaint and after 5 days the issue was fixed and after a further 3 days I got a message to say here is 3gb of data to say sorry. This was promptly rejected and I got my pac code and moved. Having read a lot about them online when I was having port-in issues I discovered that unlike other companies, porting our will not end your plan, no, to do that you have to pay a 2 month cancellation charge to break out of your contract. Luckily for me 2 months was 2p. I still had a problem giving them more money and I feel scammed. If you have joined this company then understand that to leave you need your PAC, you then have to cancel your plan after you port out, finally you need to then pay them to leave or they will just keep charging you. Removing your payment details is not an option. So I left, went back to my old network and promptly deleted my account with this company. Read up on them very well before joining, the price is cheap but you really do get what you pay for with this company. I will never return to them.

Disappointed outcome

I chatted with Peter online and he helped me port in my number. He was fast and efficient. I still have to wait and see if successful, however I appreciate the fast response as you would normally be kept on hold for ages. So far i’m happy with talk home mobile they’re cheap and cheerful. Unfortunately after a few days I have to say that I am now quite disappointed that my number has not been ported through hence my review. Talk home have not delivered on their promise and I feel a sense of betrayal and disappointment!

Avoid avoid…

I’ve signed up with them for sim deal November 2023. The deal was first 3 months 99p and then £10 each month. I was charged first month 99p and then second month £10 I contacted customer service and I was advised, they passed the details over to the technical team.. once resolved my money will be refunded. My money was never refunded nor anyone from them got back to me. So beginning of January I left them to join another network but they are still taking money out of my account. They are totally scam. Avoid at any cost!!

Jokers cant be trusted

Jokers cant be trusted. Customer service doesn't exist I have been going round in circles and then hear nothing back. Why can't I be refunded to my bank the way it was paid to you not in credit which is no use when I don't use the sum card

Not a great start

Ordered my SIM on 23,12,2023 was told 3 working days to arrive , SIM never arrived 2nd ordered told 3 working days but again no SIM, 3rd time lucky got my SIM 16,03,2024, logged into my account no mention of the deal I signed up to 1p for the first 3 months then £5 per month onwards. My bank has been charged the 1p but not on direct debit but a company charge standing order, which I nor my bank can stop if problems arise with my account. REF: Tel Num ending 86661

Mobile Phone Pleasure

Since joining Talk Home mobile in December 23 I have had a good experience so far, with a first class service. Reusing my existing mobile number which was transferred over eventually. They seem to be on the ball customer service wise!

Talk Home Mobile are phenomenal

I just joined Talk Home Mobile, having left ID Mobile for it. ID were abysmal and since switching to THM, the experience has been phenomenal - what a difference! I chose the Starter Welcome Pack, which is 1p per month for 3 months (REALLY!!!!) and a fiver p/m after that. That's 4 GB p/m + unlimited calls + unlimited SMS (+ 2 GB roaming per month). Jeez, you can't get cheaper than that, and because they're a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), they use the EE Network, voted best network for the last TEN YEARS!!!! I had an initial issue with receiving data but 'Sid' on an online chat resolved it in 2 minutes. If you're looking to swap, you can do no wrong with THM.
