Noise Pollution Violates UK Laws

Their new notification policy is a nightmare. I've been with them over a year. Suddenly when they take payment they text notifications overnight eg almost 1am or 7am when everyone is sleeping. Most people keep their phones open overnight eg for emergencies. Nothing gives them the right to wake us up. Email confirmations. Don't text!! I told them last month they had woken me up. I was fuming. They assured me they would turn off notifications. They did not. This month they texted me at 12.40AM!! This is highly unethical and violates UK noise pollution laws. Businesses cannot contact consumers outside reasonable business hours. This means 8am to 11pm.

Adam's support was great

I wish to profusely thank Talk Home staffer Mr Adam who provied excellent support through 'Chat' function on 5 July 2025. This Chat I tried after repeated failing to get anyone, even worse disconnection while trying to speak with Talk Home Mobile team. so their phone does not work but luckily chat worked and more luckily Mr Adam was fantastic. Thank you dear Adam

I’ve switched to Talk home mobile and it’s been a dream they made my switch simple I ported my number over that was a breeze I’ve just used the online help chat speaking with Tom what a top operative sorted out my queries in minutes if the rest of talk home mobile staff are like Tom they will be a wining mobile company

After many promises from Talk home mobile I have still not received my sim. I originally ordered on the 26/12 more than 5 weeks ago. I am going to ask for a. refund the company is a waste of time. I will not be dealing with them again,

Paid for a contract, it doesn’t work

I have had the sim in my phone for over a week and so far I have not managed to make or receive any single call, no texts or anything. Its the worst contract I have ever known, tried support 4 times but they just keep saying no issues when there must be as the phone works fine with another companies sim. I had to spend a long time on the chat trying to get a refund as the website kept saying “ Oops, Something went wrong. We noticed that your request couldn't complete because of following error (s): An error occurred while processing your request.” I checked the coverage with EE (who provide the network) and the area is in the good category for 4G so it should have worked fine. The prices are good so if you can get it working it is a bargain, but the platform and support need some work. They did at least give me a refund so I will amend the rating a bit.

Beware: Number Porting Comes with conditions

I ordered a SIM on a monthly rolling contract, which included a discount for the first three months. However, when I tried to port my old number online, I was forced to switch to a 12-month contract. Customer service confirmed that I could only keep my discount if I stayed on the rolling plan but without porting my number—or I could port my number but lose the discount. This was not made clear at the time of ordering the sim card. --------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Their response is not accurate as these are the terms listed at the time of ordering: "Port-in functionality is only available after you have received your Talk Home SIM and it has been activated. If you request the transfer before 5pm, your number will be with us the next working day. If your request is made after 5pm, it'll take 2 working days. If it takes longer, our systems will spot the delay and we'll credit your account with the equivalent of 1GB of free allowance for each day of loss of service. In the unlikely event that the switch still hasn't happened after 7 days, please contact us and we'll put things right."
